    Answer This Question

A:  Yes, but the dead bugs fall into the housing when it is bulb-side-up instead of bulb-side-down. You may have to take it out and shake the dead bugs out periodically

A:  You wouldn't t want to cause it won't stay on long enough to be effective in killing the bugs.

A:  No and it does not work on Bugs either

A:  It is not optimal for that purpose. When switched on, the bug zapper starts and the LED light illuminates. The second time it is switched on, the bug zapper starts but not the LED light. The third time, it returns to both being switched on. In other words, it alternates between the light illuminating or not.

A:  No, there is no brightness to it. Just the blue light to draw bugs.

                          by|Oct 12, 2020

A:  Yes, especially for outdoor lighting, but the light is diverted down or up, not spread out like a normal light bulb, but it will work in a normal table lamp.

                          by|May 13, 2021

A:  Yes, with two significant caveats. The bug bulb is larger than a regular bulb, both longer and larger in diameter. Also, the bug bulb has to hang vertically with the socket up. There is a bug catch tray below the blue light.0

A:  The light bulb is designed to be installed with threaded part up and the LED light down. I don't know if it's safe to install it upside down because the hottest part of the light is at the top and dead bugs will be right next to the heated element potentially causing a fire.

A:  KI don't know from personal experience, but the fact that it fits in a standard socket, I do not se why it would not work, but please ask for someone who has tried it that way first.

A:  The Bug Zapper has a sequencer built into it. turn it on once and the UV light comes on. Turn it off and on and the LED light comes on. Off an on a third time and both are on. The lighting choice is yours. I used it in my garage in a simple ceramic light fixture with a pull-string with gret results.
