Nice when you get everything!
I ordered 4 of these chairs. On 2 chairs I had catastrophic issues. First, the preassembled seat & cross beam were missing 4 preassembled screws (i.e. this isn't hardware you get-they are already put together). The cross boards were just free floating and unusable. On another chair, the arm assembly (which appears to be pre-glued) was half off and will rip off with 1st use. I submitted an inquiry to Polywood directly and will update this review once my issues have been resolved (or hasn't)

They are perfect well made love this color fairly easy to put together we were missing some bolts and a brace on bottom which we made work without we had bolts we could use

Polywood White Chairs
Love my Polywood chairs. Purchased four of them for my waterfront very windy and sunny deck. They hold up to the wind and rain very well. I haven’t had them in the summer heat yet so can’t comment on that yet but they are very comfortable-nice wide seat.

Misplaced screws
I purchased four of these chairs for my daughter. Two of the chairs had a small defect. The first was a seat slat that had the attachment screw placed through the slat at the edge of the slat and not through the intended hole which is empty. The second chairs issue is the attachment screw for the front of the arm rest was set too deeply and the screw point penetrated the top of the arm rest. I was able to back off the screw to get the point below the surface but arm is no longer secured tightly.

Great for Teething Animals
I really did like these chairs when I first received them back in April. They are sturdy and comfortable. However, recently the chairs have become a very expensive teether for a chipmunk or two living in the area. I contacted Polywood and the did say that they do see issues from time to time with animals destroying this material. I would recommend coating your chairs if you do have them to deter this from happening to you as well.

Yes, some people in some areas have trouble.
We suggest covering your furniture when not in use, using cayenne pepper spray around your furniture and making sure the animals have a snack. We don't know why the critters in some places chew and others don't.
I apologize for the inconvenience of it, but am happy to report that replacement parts can always be purchased through POLYWOOD.

I bought seven of these chairs. They are very high quality and you can assemble them yourself: each chair comes with an allen key, but you do need a 7/16 wrench to complete the job. I am not sure why there are so many concerns over quality control? The borings lined up perfectly and the screws were nice and snug as they should be. I love the color pop and they are very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend these chairs to anyone. (I tried to upload an image, but the site is no cooperating.)

Poor quality control; no response customer service
These chairs were mostly easy to put together, other than the poor quality control others have mentioned with the pre drilled assembly holes. The back of one of my chairs has no assembly hole, only a messy gouge taken out of it (see photos). I contacted their service email right away with photos and my serial number for warranty. That was Tuesday June 6. It’s been several days, and zero response from their customer service team. This fix requires tools I don’t have to make it at all usable.

Too early to say! Assembly was easy, but unfortunately...
Too early to say! Assembly was easy, but unfortunately the wrong screw (too long) was used in prefabricating the seat back part of the chair. The result-1/2” of the screw extends out the back of the chair and will pierce someone’s back.

These chairs are EXCELLENT!!! Will never buy a different Adirondack chair. I put them out last summer and let them sit all winter in harsh northern vermont weather. When I returned from Florida they are literally in the same out of the box condition. Big fan

Missing factory screws
We bought 2 of these chairs. They look great and are comfortable. Easy to assemble but one is missing factory screws in two places. One was in the back of the chair and one was in the leg where cross brace is. Will need to buy screws to fix issue before using.

GREAT VALUE .. EASY TO ASSEMBLE
These chairs are such a great value. They took me approximately 26 minutes per chair to assrmble the 7 pieces. You need good arm strength for the hamd tightening and a 7/16 wrench thingy not included. I was able to assembe all 5 myself in one evening in about 3.5 hours. My back is hurting though 😆

Poor Quality Control
Feels comfy, looks nice, some QC issues:
- some pre-drilled parts did not align at all
- some parts don't align well and leave gaps
- lots of "chips" left attached. Not a huge deal as I can peel/cut them off, but I expected more at that price (picture attached is the smallest of them, didn't take pics before removing the big ones)
- protective coating on the screws is often too thick, making tightening some of them challenging. It got removed on some of them so I assume they'll rust.

Decent Chairs
These are good chairs overall. They look nice, were shipped lightning fast and seem sturdy enough for the average adult (probably not for size XL individuals). The problem was that one of the 4 I ordered must have been preassembled at 5:01 on a Friday by an individual who definitely had weekend plans. Some holes were drilled offset, some drilled only about halfway through the material, and some screws were sunk too far into the material/at improper angles. Easily fixed if you have some tools.

Good value, solid product
These chairs are very solid and very comfortable. We wanted something we could leave out on a Florida patio without being worried of them blowing around or being damaged by the elements. These seem to fit the bill. Some assembly was required, but it was straightforward, taking about 30 minutes per chair. The price for these at Home Depot was below anything else we could find for a similar chair. They arrived promptly. What else is there to say?

Decent but quality control is not there.
The chair seems decent, but the setup process is complicated by poor quality control. See photos.
1. Many of the pre-installed screws were not tightened.
2. Some of the holes were not drilled all the way through.
3. Some holes were not centered and had to be re-drilled.
4. One of the chairs (I bought 4) had longer screws than the others. This caused a bulge as the longer screw went past the drilled area. I didn't notice until it was all the way in.

Very happy with this purchase!
So glad I purchased these Adirondack chairs by Polywood and not some cheaper brand. These Polywood chairs have perfect and consistent color on every piece. The predrilled holes line up perfectly. The finished chair is sturdy without any wobbling. For this project gal the construction was fairly quick! I used a drill with a bit to fit the screws, a wrench to hold nuts in place, & a rubber mallet to tap screws through holes. Each chair takes about 10 to 15 mins to construct. Easy!

Sturdy chair but has flaws
For the most part the chair is great. It is sturdy and comfortable. However, it scratches very easily. As I was putting the chair together i can see scratches made just by taking it out of the box. Also one piece that goes across the bottom had screw holes that were not properly aligned. I had to drill my own holes to get it aligned.

Unbelievable quality

Ouch
Love the chair. Don’t love that I sliced my thumb open when putting it together. The flat side of one of the screws was so sharp that I have a 1 inch slice across my thumb from barely touching it. I shouldnt have to sand down metal to fix something so dangerous.

Great chairs-easy to assemble!
These chairs are super comfortable and were real easy to assemble. I assembled six of them in about an hour and a half-all the parts fit well. The power tool definitely helped to drill in the screws. Beautiful and great price.

Mostly ok, parts that came pre-assembled, not good
The plastic parts are fine. I bought four. One was perfect, all the parts were included and the pre-assembled parts were fine. The other three were missing one each of the longer screw. I had some screws that would do the job so I used those. One needed the arms tightened down, the screws were loose and did not actually make it into the arm rest. One they missed the front upright completely, tearing out the plastic on the leg. I had to back the screws out, line it up and redo it.

Wonderful chair AND customer service!
I purchased 6 gray chairs in June. It took a while for them to arrive but it's COVID time so everything is behind. The chairs arrived a little before schedule so that was awesome. Easy enough to put together. One box had been open & had some issues. I called Polywood -they were so pleasant to deal with, helped without any question, shipped missing pieces quickly. The chairs are very comfortable to sit in, sturdy & good quality. Very happy with my purchase!
