This is a good feeder and really draws the finches. We have two of them. Only complaint is that sometimes the larger birds like morning doves (or squirrels) go on it and eventually, the top twists and the feeder falls off. A better locking mechanism would be helpful.

Excellent item. The birds LOVE it. Very pleased with the product and would definitely buy again. And the curbside pickup was quick and always great at Home Depot.

I purchased and also bought the NYJER SEED as stated on the tag that holds 1.5 lbs. When I put into finch tube the seed fell through. I went back to the store and they could not help and now I have to idea what to put in it. Hopefully you can tell me what to use. I am at a total loss and need help. I paid a lot of money or feeder and like the way it looks but I want to start feeding my birds. Hopefully you get back to me soon Tom Englat

Well made, bright and easy to fill with thistle seed. Had an amazing number of finches show up within a day. The top helps to keep the seed dry and the bottom basin keeps the seeds contained for those birds who don’t like to hang to feed.

Perfect! Attracts Gold and House Finches in my area (So Cal). I’ve seen 8 birds feeding at one time! I use nyger only. Had a smaller feeder but had to refill every other day. This one lasts at least 4 days so cleaning and filling my feeders 2x/week works out for me. Well made, sturdy, easy to take apart, easy to fill. Online order shipped fast and was packaged with care. Good job, Home Depot!!

I like that it is more sturdy ... not made of plastic, but metal. The birds seem to like it.

Seems to be good so far. Have only had a few weeks.

The top or bottom (or sometimes both) don’t screw on tightly enough (far enough), so they can pop off spilling all the seed if a squirrel get on it or on heavy winds. I noticed in one review that a person has to put a long bolt from top to bottom to make the lid and bottom stay on. Like the feeder, just needs a more secure too and bottom.
