Similar to many of the post below, we have and issue with the arm not staying firmly on the post. The source of the issue is the mounting hardware on the left hand side of the holder. It doesn't hold the unit tightly so the wiggle room causes the arm to fall off as you try to use the toilet paper. I believe the cause is the older version of the mounting hardware which was a single metal clip. The newer Venturi accessories come with mounting hardware which has a small ball at the bottom which firmly holds the holder in place. I tried to find someone selling just the mounting hardware but I can't find it on the web. And paying another $27 to HD to fix this doesn't make sense.

Great brushed nickel addition to our half bath. Looks great with Pfister Ladera faucet too. The only reason it is not 5 star is because the connection is a simple nub, so if your wall is even slightly uneven, the seam will be a little more open than the other side. No issue with it opening during use. I would buy it again.

      Works and Looks perfect
I bought all venturi product for both our bathroom remodels, installation was typical and results are as expected for the Pfister brand. Dont believe all the negative reviews, everything installed fine, just measure! I test fit everything, marked locations on the wall, made sure to use proper and secure mounting and hardware. I guess if you dont know what you are doing you could definetly screw it up. The lever fits perfectlty on both toilet paper holders, does not fall off, the handles are not wobbly. Bottomline, if you cant install things properly why would you give a bad review? Been using this toilet paper holder in master and the kids bathroom (lots of use) for about a year with no issues.

We bought four items in the Pfister Venturi collection (towel rod, clothes hook, towel bar, and toilet paper holder) and are disappointed in the last item. The reason for the disappointment is that the arm holding the toilet paper roll does not have a "positive" seat on the right-hand bracket. Instead it rests loosely on that bracket and, therefore, tends to move horizontally toward and away from where's it mounted (in our case on the side of the vanity), a condition that will probably make it unusable in a relatively short time. I expected a positive snap between the two pieces so that there'd be no movement of the arm. I don't think that's hard to do.

        Design Flaw
I purchased this product for a new bathroom project. Thought the mounting brackets are properly placed, tight and secure, the fixture cannot be tightened after it is snapped on, resulting in a swing arm that it wobbly and unable to be secured at the other end. The toilet paper roll falls to the floor every time it it touched.

We just had this installed in our new bathroom at work. It looks great, but that's about it. With the paper hanging there it's fine, but as soon as someone tried to take some the arm slips off the tiny nub that supports it and sends the paper rolling across the floor and out of reach. More time often than not, when I use the bathroom where this holder is installed, the toilet paper roll is sitting on the sink and the holder is as shown in the picture.

Looks nice in the box, but works very poorly
I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing in-store. They're spot on. This product has a bar that pivots up to replace the TP roll, which seemed really cool. They provide a paper template to make mounting easier, which I though was nice. The problem is that the spring clips that attach to the wall have a bit of play to them (the holder snaps over the spring clips, so you can also never remove this product without mangling the spring clips and denting your drywall), so the close alignment required for the product to look nice is all but impossible. To add to the pain, the bar just rests on a little tab on one side - there's no hook to maintain the distance between the bar and the wall, nor is there a magnet to maintain position. As a result, this product is really just a sloppy-fitting L-shaped bar attached to the wall. The gaps on the non-pivot side are at the mercy of the sloppiness, so it can never be made to look like it does in the box. What's really frustrating is that this product could have been great. The combination between a cantilevered bar, sloppy spring clips, and no way to register the bar on the non-hinge side makes this a disaster to use. If Pfister had used a more traditional set screw approach to connecting to the wall brackets, this product would be great. If they had added a way to connect the free end of the bar to the wall-mounted post, this product would be less bad. It's a good idea with bad execution. The trouble is - by the time you get this installed and realize that it's garbage, you've already drilled holes in your wall and probably have dents in your drywall in the shape of the mounting posts. Avoid this product.

I should have read the reviews
I should have read the reviews. We recently switched all our bathroom fixtures (faucets, towel bars, toilet paper holder, etc) to the Pfister Venturi collection. While I am somewhat happy with most of the pieces, the toilet paper holder is not designed very well for mounting into sheetrock. The clip on the left side allows to much movement from side to side. While the movement is small on that end it is much greater on the other end where it "Rests" on the right side. This poor fitment allows the toilet paper holder arm to fall and the paper is then on the floor. Temporarily I have wedged cardboard under the left bracket to help secure the arm, but it looks terrible. I actually purchased 2 of these because you can't uninstall it without ruining the spring. I thought I had installed the first one incorrectly. Both had the same issue and I am now out $50. Very discouraging. The one way to fix this issue is to have the manufacturer redesign the little extrusion on the right side to fit up inside the arm. If someone from Pfister would call me I could explain what I am talking about.

Looks nice but doesn't fit tight against wall
This was a disappointment. The snap clips sounded like a convenient idea but they don't keep the holder tight against the wall. The left side will rotate and pull away from wall slighty when changing paper roll. You'll have the manually re-align it each time. I would return but the holes are already drilled and I'd have to patch and paint to start over with abother brand. I have the matching towel bar but it's going back unopened as it's the same mounting system.

            Sleek Toilet Paper Roll Holder
Sleek looking toilet paper roll holder. I’ve attached a picture. I like the brushed nickel. I also like the square cut angles. I like how the mounts flare into the wall. The design is unique and thus looks great when put in with other items of the same design. The toilet paper bar is pivoted on one side and just lifts up. Nothing is spring loaded. I can load a paper roll on with one hand. I really like that. Installation was super easy. It’s a solid design.

            No More empty roll
From start to finish this literally took all of 8 minutes to install. When you unpack this toilet paper holder, the sleekness of the design stands out. This is easy even for the basic of DIY'ers. Looking over the instruction and tool required. Simply locate a place where best suits your needs mount the mounting brackets with the template included. Snap in theToilet Paper Holder Posts, Walla ready. That’s it, that simple. Brushed nickel look is elegant. No more spring loaded cylinder to snap in and out. No excuse for leaving an empty roll. Lift the bar and slid a freash roll on and done.

            Elegant Design, Easy Installation
Every time I think bathroom hardware can't get any easier to install, someone comes up with a better method! Pfister has made it really simple to install their product. The toilet paper holder comes securely boxed, and there were no flaws on the metal. The parts packet is taped to the inside packaging and contains the brackets, screws, and wall anchors. And no tiny set screws! To install is just a few simple steps. I held the paper template up to the wall where I wanted my towel bar, pressed my level against the line on the template to ensure it was level, and the used an ice pick to press through the spots marked for the holes to be drilled. Next step, removed the paper template and used my handy stud finder to see if I was going to need wall anchors. I did, so using my drill, I created the holes and lightly tapped in the wall anchors using my hammer. Then simply screwed the wall brackets into the anchors, ensuring they were placed "UP" as indicated on the bracket, being sure not to over tighten (or the toilet paper holder ends won't fully snap into place). Last step, place the ends on the toilet paper holder, tilt it slightly towards the wall, hook the top of the ends lightly onto the wall brackets, and then snap down into place. Hanging this toilet paper holder took me no more than 5 minutes. The instructions are very clear, with decent diagrams. The parts are easy to install. And it looks wonderful on the wall. The Venturi toilet paper holder has very modern squared lines and an appealing brushed nickel finish. And the method for replacing toilet paper rolls is very cool - the rod just lifts up and you slide the paper roll off and on and then set the rod back down. No springs, no piece that comes off…it remains attached. Why didn't I think of that?! Plus, there is plenty of of coordinating hardware available -- robe hook, 18" and 24" towel bars, hand towel bar, and even a bathroom faucet.

I like this style of TP holder much more than the traditional spring-loaded design. Pfister provided a template for drilling holes to mount the support brackets which proved to be very helpful. You just have to get the template level. Recommend punching small pilot indentation holes through the template and into the drywall with the tip of a nail before drilling. This helps keep the bit from "walking" when you begin drilling. Installation took less that 15 minutes.

If you’re considering getting one of these, don’t. It's an attractive design, and I like the way the unit mounts to the brackets. But the way the center bar is made is a huge design flaw. It's the new kind, where the bar lifts up so you can put the roll of paper on, rather than removing the bar. But when the bar comes down, it doesn't lock in place. So one good tug of the roll pulls the bar downward and the roll falls off.

I purchased two Towel Rings, two 24" Towel Bars, the Toilet Paper Holder, and the 18" Towel Bar for my master bathroom renovation. Half of the items had a reasonable quality attachment system with a "hook" and a captive ball/spring to hold the fixture in place. The other half had a cheap, pressed metal spring aparatus. The ones with the pressed metal aparatus, due to their design, rattle, and have no way to tighten them against the wall. I have some screwed directly in to studs as well as some in drywall, and the pressed metal attachments are horrible. I bought two of the same product and each had different attachment mechanisms. Short of completely opening the box, you have no idea what you're going to get. I know these are budget items, but the fit and finish - especially on the towel bars - is poor. And, the flip-up toilet paper holder is a neat idea, but it doesn't work well unless you have a perfectly flat wall and a solid attachment mechanism (SEE ABOVE!). There is a Moen design that is nearly identical to these and I bought the hair dryer holder in the Moen brand. It is a much higher quality product overall. Even if you have the Venturi faucets, sping for the Moen towel bars to avoid grief. Also, to avoid another trip to Home Depot or another hardware store, do yourself a favor and pick up some of the 1/8" toggle bolts X 2" long or other non-plastic anchor. What comes with this set, regardless of which attachment you get, is cheap and horrible. Get 2 for each attachment to the wall. Or, better yet, get the Moen product instead.

                        Toilet paper always falls off
We bought and installed this about two months ago, and the arm that swings out from the base is very loose so every time we even touch the toilet paper roll, the arm slides forward enough for the toilet paper roll to fall off. We have been really disappointed in the functionality of this product.

I purchased this product for a new bathroom project. Our bathroom tile installer mounted our restroom hardware. The mounting brackets are properly placed, tight and secure, the fixture cannot be tightened after it is snapped on, resulting in a swing arm that it wobbly and unable to be secured at the other end. The toilet paper roll falls to the floor every time it it touched.
