I purchased this Ridgid Snake back in the summer of 2023, it’s a solid piece of machinery and I highly recommend it! It really tackles my main sewer line here in the Bronx.

Good mid-tier snake, only wish bundle came with the drop head accessory as well.

I bought a couple months ago and it’s the second time I’m changing the cable kinks really easy

1 st one finally died after 20 years. Hopefully this one lasts just as long.

Didn’t take care of what I needed done for my drain.

After getting quotes ranging from $500 to $3600 to clear my main line, I opted to purchase the Rigid K-400, 3/8" 75 foot manual feed model, and it worked flawlessly. It cleared the clog in about 30 minutes. I went from a complete stoppage to water draining in 10-15 minutes and changed blades and flushed with water to really open things up. Great price point for a professional grade product. I was concerned with some customer reviews, but after reading the instructions, I've decided that most of the problems reported were because customers failed to read the directions. I also recommend the manual feed for individuals who have a need for speed! The name of this game is feed it carefully and let the machine do it's work. Forcing it or using the wrong cutter tip is a recipe for failure. The warning about "not using reverse rotation, except as instructed" is, I'm certain, because the cable is "wound" for power and strength, but putting it in reverse, if jammed will "unwind" the cable and invite disaster. Slow and steady pressure and forward rotation is the key, the machine does great work!

Work the way it supposed to

It's not designed for handling root intrusion; but I was able to pull out some roots from the main sewer lateral line without any damage, gingerly though. The 1-1/8" boring bulb auger seems to be a bit too big to navigate through 2" interior pipes: I used it once only to clean the pipes from the kitchen sink drains that is connected to bathroom sink drain, only to find the boring bulb permanently twisted. It's pricey given the performance.
