The 6ah max output battery from Ridgid is my favorite battery sold. These batteries are the same size as the 4ah batteries but provide more power and run tools a lot longer. The angle grinder and leaf blower are 2 tools that really appreciate the 6ah or larger batteries. The 6ah is more compact than the larger 8ah and 12ah max output batteries.

Faulty battery from the start and it took 20+ business days before I received my replacement which I had to follow up on. They shipped an old phased old Octane battery which it larger and heavier than my brand-new Max Output battery, I was told that is what they ship out as replacements, which I find hard to believe. I was told in store that they ship out exact or better. I am hoping that someone can help with this issue as this seems to be a mistake.

Ok, so you will see people marveling at how this battery is the same size as an older 4AH battery. That is true, but I dont think you will like why it is the same size. In one word; cheaper. In two words; made cheaper. So let's compare. In my picture you will indeed notice they are approx. the same size. Next you will notice that the old version seems to look like it is built more solidly. That is 100% fact. You can actually feel the difference. Not only that but you will also notice that there are no rubber feet to prevent slippage. Then, you will notice the three hols in the bottom of the new version. Do you see that green board on the bottom? That's and exposed circuit board right next to the bottom. You better not set that battery down next to an even little puddle of water. This is to say nothing about the Bluetooth enabled larger lithium batteries that came out before covid that were built like tanks. I thought you should know, you ar getting cheaper, inferior products now for a much higher price.

If you have one or more of the Ridgid line of 18V cordless tools, this battery will give you extended use without needing to recharge or swap batteries. Rated at 18V, 6 Ah, the Lithium-Ion battery is claimed to be compatible with all the Ridgid 18V tools (I can verify that is true for their ½ inch drill motor, ¼ inch hex drive impact driver, receipt saw and oscillating multi-tool). Compared to the 2 Ah versions of the 18V battery, the 6 Ah battery is, understandably heavier, though at 25.8 oz. the weight tradeoff for more capacity is reasonable. It is 60-80% heavier than the 2 Ah versions, but the balance when using the tools (even the smaller ones, such as the impact driver) is still good, due to the weight being below one’s grip. As on other of the 18V batteries in this line, there is a four (4) bar charge indicator. As received, it showed one (1) bar, and took approximately 2 hours to fully charge it to the four (4) bar indication. The battery is eligible for the Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA), which requires registration of your battery, but will provide for free replacements should it become unusable. This is in addition to the three (3) year warranty against defects. If you find you are frequently having to stop and change or charge batteries, this will save you a lot of time, allowing you to continue to work.

I was happy with my Ah Max Output Ridgid battery - both for its power and longevity but needed to add another battery to my tool set to keep one always charged. Ridgid simply makes great stuff and I am very satisfied with this 6Ah version. Lots of power and longevity! Plus, I really like the battery’s built-in level check - very convenient! Highly recommended.

Another great battery in the Ridgid lineup. I have other batteries from them and have always been happy with their performance, but this new 6AH battery is amazing. It charged out of the box in around 1 hour. I used it in a reciprocating saw and it lasted all afternoon while trimming branches. The LED display shows you the amount of charge. The battery easily slides in and out of the tools using the release tabs. It is also the same size as the other batteries I have, which is nice. I also felt no noticeable weight increase with this larger AH battery, a common complaint with larger batteries. Overall, a great product!

Before using this battery, I charged it using the RIDGID R86093 battery charger. The battery shipped charged at one light on the LED power gauge. The time needed to charge the battery to full was around 3.5 hours. The battery pack has an easy to see 4-LED power gauge that displays the remaining power levels. The LED power gauge blinks as the battery is charging to let you know the level of charge completed. I am guessing, based on my charge time that a fully discharged battery would take about 4 hours to completely charge using my RIDGID R86093 battery charger? I used this battery on my RIDGID Multi-Tool while cutting ½ inch plywood and 1-inch rough cut cedar and had no issues. The cuts were quick and clean! When buying tools, I usually get a “bundle”, a tool or two, batteries, charger and maybe a case. But the bundles come with 1.5Ah or 2Ah batteries to keep the package price low. What’s nice about this 6Ah battery is you get much longer run times plus added power. Based on battery cell technology, this 6Ah battery delivers improved performance compared to ones with a lower Ah rating. The battery pack looks like it has vents built into the housing to help with heat buildup when using your tools continuously. The size and weight of the battery worked well as a balance with my multi-tool. If you don’t want to stop and switch out batteries while working on a large project get this battery! This RIDGID 6.0 Ah battery is 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V tools, and it comes with a Lifetime Service Agreement, simply register within 90 days of purchase for free parts, free service, for life.

This is the first battery I've ever used rated at 6ah. I successfully used it to power the 1/2 in drill/driver. My project was to drywall a basement of about 16 x 20- including ceilings. Even after a few undo's and redo's, I still had 2 bars left on the battery. It's a pretty big battery, but still, that's a lot of work for a single battery of any capacity. Can't wait to see what else I can do with this animal. Very pleased and surprised how much this can do. Nice to have a battery that can go the distance without having to be charged at lunch time.

I work for a company that does Commercial Network Infrastructure. When I grab a drill and head up into a crawlspace or underneath a building, I check to make sure I have a 6Ah battery. I know I’ll get the time & power I need.

I received this battery through the Home Depot Seeds Program, and I've gotta say that Ridgid did it right with their new 6Ah battery. All of my power tools are now Ridgid, and many are cordless. That means that I need batteries...lots of batteries! I believe this one makes #10 so I'm never at a loss for cordless power, what with 3 chargers as well. What I love about this new 6Ah battery is that it's the exact same size and weight as their 4Ah battery, which is a major win for me! The 9Ah is a monster, and I decided I didn't want to lug around that weight, but with this 6Ah battery, I can handle it all day just like the 4Ah but with significantly more runtime. And it's a MAX battery too?? Yes, I highly recommend this battery.

This 18v 6.0 Ah lithium-Ion Battery is very nice. It's not very heavy. I had to look up the actual weight online and it weighs in at 2 pounds. Which is not to bad for this size battery. It works in all Ridgid 18 v tools. Lasts along time. In my impact gun I can go all day with it. My reciprocating saw not as long depending ow much sawing I'm doing. Good batteries.

This Rigid 18 volt battery is just what you need for things like the Rigid circular saw or the 1/2 inch hammer drill and the recharge time is short when you are done. All of the Rigid batteries are interchangeable so there is no hunting for the right battery when your in a hurry or you are far from a recharger or somewhere where there is no power to recharge.

The RIDGID brand 18v 6.0 Ah Max Output Lithium-Ion Battery really delivers. It is compact in size and not too heavy. It attached easily to any RIDGID tool as well as the charger which you will need to purchase separately. The battery holds its charge longer than most batteries and comes with the company’s Lifetime Service Agreement for parts and service.

The RIDGID 6AH MaxOutput 18v model R840060 battery is half again more of the same power as the 4Ah in the same physical size package as the 4Ah and weighs only 1 1/2 ounces more so it does not noticeably change the balance or feel of the tool. It is also covered by the lifetime service agreement for free batteries for life. It is a compatible fit for all the RIDGID 18V tools. I already had 2Ah and 4Ah MaxOutput batteries but got this 6Ah to boost boring time when I'm out with the 1 1/4 inch by 17 inch speedbore bit putting holes in tree stumps. I have plenty of power now to drill all the stumps I can handle with confidence I won't have to run back to the shop for recharging before I am ready.

I have been a satisfied Ridgid tool user in my DIY projects for a number of years now. The RIDGID 18V 6.0 Ah MAX Output Lithium-Ion Battery is an example of the continuous improvement of their batteries as well as their tools over time. This battery contains the power to sustain demanding use with old as well as the new Ridgid tools. I appreciate Ridgid's efforts to not obsolete useful tools while improving performance. I would recommend this product for your use.

There's no doubt these Rigid 18V 6.0 Ah MAX Output LIhiumIon Batteries are among the best out there. The batteries are compatible with all Rigid 18V power tools which makes them work in a lot of situations. Even better, the battery is eligible for the Industry's Best Lifetime Service Agreement. (Details with the battery.) The only downside is this battery will only work with Rigid Power Tools and only those tools that require an 18V battery. If you have other manufacturer's battery operated tools or less than 18V, you are out of luck. And if you do not already own a Rigid battery charger, you will need to purchase one. Avaiable at Home Depot, of course.

I have a whole fleet of 18v ridgid tools. This 6.0ah battery is an awesome upgrade from the standard 2.0 or 4.0. As expected it fits all of the ridgid 18v tools. What was not expected was that the new bigger 6.0AH battery is the exact same size as the 4.0!! Very happy with this item. The battery being the same size as the 4.0 ensures that the tool you attach it to is not made more bulky or harder to use with an oversized battery. This one has what seems to have become standard with the push button life meter. Simply put it into service the same way all others are used..

I have several Ridgid tools and this battery is great! It will last you just about all day and only needs about 45 minutes to an hour to recharge. It has 2 levers on either side of the battery, which by squeezing allows you to remove the battery from the tool or the charger. It also has a readout letting you know how much power is left. It also has a lifetime warranty, so you won't have to buy another one when this one wears out. Make sure you register it though!

Ordered this battery to go with the Rigid Multi-tool I ordered at the same time. Didn't realize battery didn't include charger. So, after ordering the Rigid Multi-tool and this battery, I have to order a charger to use it. Buyer beware! Battery came with a small charge, so I was able to use it a little in the multi-tool. It fits the tool well, easy to install and remove. Have no idea about charging time since no charger was included. One positive, I think, is that this is included in Rigid's Lifetime Warranty program. Register the purchase and they replace the battery if it quits, supposedly. Never had to use the program since the only Rigid tool I've purchased in the past was returned to the store because it wasn't durable and easy to use.

The Ridgid 18V 6.0 Ah MAX output Li-Ion battery really allows the more power hungry tools, like the reciprocating saw and circular saw, perform like their plug-in counterparts. While this battery is a little heavier than the smaller 2.0 Ah battery, and negligibly heavier than the 4.0 Ah MAX battery, its larger size was not a problem with the larger tools and actually gave a nice balance to both saws. While you can certainly use this battery with the various drill/drivers and other tools, the added size and weight will be noticeable but it's great to have all the extra power if you are drilling larger holes in hard material. The Ridgid batteries have a "fuel" gauge which is very accurate and beneficial. They also carry a life time warranty, which is a nice extra. The battery arrived with only a minimal charge, which isn't a problem unless you wanted to use it as soon as you obtained it, and it charged up as expected using the standard Ridgid 18V charger. If you own, or plan to own, any of the Ridgid saws or other tools that would benefit from more power, this battery will make a great additional to your collection and greatly enhance the operation of those tools.

Exactly what I expected. Great quality and performance as usual. Ridgid is my number one choice for power tools. They have exceeded my expectations.
