It worked fine at first, but then started leaking through the cracks and broke in two.

Not strong enough for thicker caulking applications - item split open on first use.

Thank you for your feedback. Please call customer service at 866-435-8665 for further assistance. If the cavity is flooded too quickly this could cause glue to build up before entering the individual cavities and may potentially cause this to happen. Another reason would be the thickness of viscosity of the actual adhesive being used.

Finally, a cheap throw away tool that i wish i had 20 years ago. It's too hard to bother cleaning, unless you come up with a brilliant work around, I was thinking of 3d printing a tool that would force out the remaining glue, and cap the holes at the end, so it could be reused. They are $6. 3 bucks to much to throw them away everytime. I shoved a paper towel in, pushed out what I could, so I can drill the holes out to use it again.

Did not use. Do not need this for small repair jobs. Will return it unused. Might be useful for larger jobs.

Split during first and only use
This is a good idea in principle, but it cannot seem to handle any of the pressure when the glue comes out of gun. It split down the sides after using for just a few minutes on a relatively small project (gluing rubber trim to the wall). Adhesive is great, but this tool is not. Try at your own risk. Would probably perform better if it had no seams to split.

If the cavity is flooded too quickly and glue builds up before entering the individual cavities this many occur. Also, If the glue is very thick this could be another reason why the nozzle could split.

The Roberts Adhesive Applicator is compatible with 11oz and 30oz adhesive cartridges. It distributes adhesive in tight spaces where a trowel can't be used. Customer Care

Not a good product.
The first time I squeezed the adhesive in the tip the side split open. I used tape to close up the side, that worked until halfway through my project. Halfway through the project the front of the nozzle split open. First time using this product was not a good experience.

Roberts base adhesive was too thick to travel through it, so it didn't work.
