Sander doesnt male hardly any mess. Super easy to use. Works quickly and accurately. No complaints. Great productc great price.

Strong enough to cleanup live edge, but not so strong that I can't hold onto it. The dust catcher surprisingly catches more saw dust then you would believe. Easy to find sanding pads to fit.

This is the second one I have owned. First one the switch started acting up so some 10 years later it's time for another one. As a small sander I have pushed it beyond it's intended use a few times. Meaning using it to sand down very hard epoxy with high abrasive grit (60) and still stays cool. If you are going to do a lot of sanding hook up a shop vac to it cause it can stir up the dust!

Works great for sanding and scrubbing. Light and easy to use. I got it for my wood projects, but the first thing I used it for was scrubbing the tile in the bath we are working on.

The sander that saved my summer! I had a nightmare scenario prepping my deck for stain. The previous owner slopped on countless coats and never re-stained properly, so I was faced with either doing another shoddy job or hand scrapping (best option over sanding) a whole 13'x15' deck. I decided to do it right and finally, after weeks of tedious work, I finished the hard part but needed to sand off the rough and un-scrappable spots. I picked this Ryobi because I love their battery tools (I LOVE my Ryobi lawnmower) but I went with corded on this tool due to the size of the job. I gave the whole deck a once over with this sander and some 80 grit pads. It quickly finished the job allowing me to get it stained literally in the nick of time for cold weather, saving my weeks worth of work. It took care of all of the splinters and my deck looks like a pro did it. It even did a pretty good job between deck boards. This sander doesn't kill your hands with vibration and it doesn't run hot even with extended use. Pads stick great, and I went through a LOT. The dust catcher is wonderful, but is a little hard to empty and will blow off if it gets too full. When I am done, I just brush the dust off of it with a dustpan brush. This sander is a great quality tool. I'm sure I am going to find plenty of other projects to use it for.

Love this orbital sander! Bought it for a project I was working on and have to admit it was better than I expected for the price! I have many Ryobi power tools and bought this one based on the performance of the other Ryobi's in my workshop. The dust bag is easy to remove and cleanout. No tabs to line up, just twist and pull! Only down side - Wish it would have come with a carrying case.

This product was very easy to use and the perfect tool to refinish my cabinets. The dust trap on this tool is awesome!! Less mess to clean up!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using my Ryobi sander. I purchased mine from Home Depot for woodworking projects at my home and I haven't regretted the decision to purchase this sander. For the price I paid and the quality I get out of it, I do not regret it at all.

I believe this sander to be quite a bargain. While not the least expensive nor the most feature rich, it delivers big time. I had to sand a boat's cockpit coaming to bare teak. This coaming is roughly a total of 33 ft. long and 6 inches wide. It had been blistered badly and needed to be stripped down to bare wood and re-varnished. This sander did the job and never balked. I used sixty grit, then eighty grit and finally 180 grit before hand sanding in the grain direction with 220. I'm very happy with the results as seen in the photo. I would buy another one if I needed to for a bigger job.

She wanted a wine rack stained and this sander made it so simple to do. It's ergonomic handle made it fast and effortless to complete it in no time. Only problem I have now is that the "to-do" list just got longer

Great sander! Great value for the money. I used this to refinish a 70 year old boat. Don't know what I would have done without it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement to a much older orbital roybi sander. First one sanded our stairs and the entire second floor of our home. It revived a very abused hard wood floor. Unfortunately the original was stolen from my sons dorm room. But the new one offers a whole lot. Its light weight , it collects the bulk of the dust and most important it doesn't give you that vibration numb hand when using it. Seeing is believing. Attached is our new patio table. My orbital sander was the only sander used. Clean crisp edges, a flat smooth surface and unlike other orbital sanders this leave no circle marring. Quality of product, safety ,and cost this hits a homerun by its self

This sander just can't be beat for the price, I needed something to use around the house to sand down wooden plugs from the kreg jig I was using. Comes with three sanding disks (80, 120 and 220) to help get you started. It's vuukt solid and has a good vibration. no bogging down, even of you add a lot of pressure to it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i cant complain...while i used to sand by hand and its a hassle. But this guy gets the job done! i recently re-purpose 2 night desk from my master bed room and this sander took on the job. The one on the left is the original color, the one on the right is the finished job using the sander. the coats that were on them appears to be spray paint. soo i used 120 and 180 sand paper with the Ryobi. And it took the pain out very easy!

Great sander. Stay with me here. First time I bought this sander and used it on a small project and it was fine. The next time I used it the disc became loose and wobbled. I took it off and there is a screw under that, that had come loose. I tightened it and within a few minutes, it was loose again. Terrible sander. But that must have been a lemon. I received a new sander and it purrs like a kitten. Much less vibration and seems to be more efficient at sanding. I happy to be using it. I would buy this sander again and I am very pleased with it.

this tool is essential when working with wood. it's easy to use. very quiet and stable. good grip and handling.

Great orbital sander for the money, I built this with it...

Horrible purchase.. after 10 mins sander went out of control shaking and screaming. so..... back 1 hr trip to home depot easily replaced it. about 5 mins into same project, same song same dance.. called customer service, and they say they haven't heard of that issue but please feel free to take it apart and try to diagnose. the screw that covers roller bearing was loose and of course stripped. complete junk. ryobi used to be quality but now more on the quantity side. i dont really think this could even be one of those 1 time use tools..

Another good Ryobi product for the home owner at a great price! I bought this belt sander to refinish an armoire that had a thick layer of paint over the wood. My palm sander was taking far too much time to get through the paint. Unboxing- The unit was already assembled; just install one of the included sanding pads. Usage – The bag on the sander does an okay job at collecting dust. The sander works very well and isn’t overly loud.

This is a great little sander that can handle just about anything. The only complaint I have with it is the dust collection bag really doesn't collect much dust. The dust is still all over the place.

Not a top of the line but in my opinion best bang for the buck. I purchased this about a month ago to help with a kitchen remodel. I used the sander to sand maple cabinet doors I had made to glass smooth before painting and also used it to sand a 10' Beech butcher-block countertop. I had it continuously running except for pad changes for a good hour+ with no problem and was very happy with the results.

This was the first time I have ever used a random orbit sander, and I will say on first impression, I am very impressed! it is easy to use and I purchased it yesterday for a project that involved prepping cedar boards for staining, and this thing made quick work of the project. I will find other uses for this tool in the future, and i feel that it was a good purchase at it sale price of $30. Only negative, which is likely true of all sanders, is that I wish the dust collector had caught more of the dust, but it seemed to catch the majority of it.

Good product. Satisfied with the quality. Will buy it again.

I am well pleased with my orbital sander. I have a small, garage, workshop and use the sander often.
