I first attempted to buy in store but it wouldn't apply my military discount when it would online. I purchased online and picked up in store to find the product was missing the battery. The box didn't appear to have been opened before and most likely something at the factory. I take the unit back to the store for exchange and the second unit didn't appear opened either, yet when I asked for us to check everything was there it was missing packing the other one had and the unit had marks on it and didn't have the tie wrap holding on the chain over like the other. It seems the factory is putting out inconsistent product. I would recommend if you buy this unit, have them open it up and check the contents all there before you leave. It will save you a drive back. Overall the saw works well but the charger takes three hours or more to charge from empty to full. I love my Ryobi 18 volt products but my first experience with the 40v items didn't go well. The store people were nice enough and ultimately got me working. While I have had it a few days, it has done a lot a cutting with fallen trees from a storm.

used the saw twice last summer and then didnt use it for a year and when trying to use it again this year nothing worked. Battery doesn't engage. i had a neighbor who is a whiz with chainsaws take a look at it and he couldn't fix it. said it must be with the battery and an internal flaw. looking at the other reviews it doesnt appear im alone on this. great saw if you want to use it once or twice, otherwise its a dud.

I didn't bought this tool new I bought it with few uses,still looks like new at a very discounted price.It did make my life easier,The chain came off about 3 times after I find out What the problem was I was able to complete the job very fast And now I know how to deal with this tool It is a great tool I bought it at a very discount price Love it.

Could not be happier with this chainsaw. Use it on my lot to cut 8" to 2" limbs for approximately 11/2 hours. Battery has 4 power bars, and the chainsaw ran strong up to the last bar. The downside is that it takes approximately 2 hours to charge the battery. This chainsaw is easy to use, clean when using and strong throughout use.

Poor blade and chain quality. Did not make it through a full day and was cutting items well below the suggested cut diameter.

Works great! For a homeowner just trimming their own trees this is a good saw. No mixing gas or fouled plugs to deal with.

Works great so far. Like not having to carry a gas can around in my car.

Battery is always resetting. After a couple of minutes it shuts off and takes about 15 seconds and resets. Used other older batteries and have no problem. The battery sold with this product was used on other tools and had the same problems .

Powerful. Great saw for smaller jobs.
