You get what you pay for I guess. Expensive but doesn't last.

I had it fully charged before using it in brand new chain saw. I didn't get more than 6 cuts of some trees that had already been cut down before it ran out of power. Had to keep going back to smaller electric saw while both batteries recharged.

Did not last it’s two hour power I have to wait for recharge three hours for recharge and it was over heated did not know what was going to happen the battery that originally came with the electric mount lasted only three week’s

This battery has really good power for its size and weight. I much prefer to have two of this size battery instead of one larger more powerful one. I find having this lighter battery makes the work easier and if I have two of them I can have one in the charger while I am using the other one. I have had it for a few weeks and used it with my hedge trimmer and it provided all the power I needed to do the job. I wasn’t sure how long the battery would run when it is fully charges so I tested it with my Ryobi Jet Fan Blower running continuously and it ran for 12 minutes before I heard a change in the pitch of the blower. It probably would have run a little longer, but I feel this represents the amount of time the battery would continuously run this blower at maximum performance. I tried recharging the battery right after shutting the blower off, but the charger wouldn’t charge the battery. I checked the instructions and it said the charger wouldn’t charge a battery if it was too hot. After the battery cooled, I tried again and the battery took a full charge.

I have used this battery for only a few weeks. And so far I am very impressed with its capability to deliver the power required to run my RYOBI tool to its maximum capability. I am also impressed with its run-time between recharges. To date, I have been able to finish every task before the charge ran out. So I do not have available a good time estimate of how long a full-charge will last. After finishing a job where I am using the battery in a tool I place it in the recharge base to bring it up to full charge in preparation for its next use. However, I have timed how long it takes to fully charge the battery pack when only one of the four charge level indicators are lit and that is approximately 1.5 hours. The battery comes with a three year limited warranty. And like all the RYOBI products I am currently using it appears to be well-built, so I expect it will provide many years of issue free service. 40-VOLT LITHIUM-ION 2.0 AH BATTERY, these new Lithium batteries really pack a punch now a days. Battery technology is leaps and bounds from the 1990's and these batteries are it. The batteries have a button and you can press to see how much JUICE is left which sure is a bonus now! For such a powerful Lithium battery but yet very light when adding to your tool.

Could last a little longer

Very disappointed in the performance of this battery! Only used in my chain saw and only last barely 2 minutes of working time. Needed it for a large project. Actually had to use my 18 volt chain saw to finish the project.

Battery I purchased replaced battery that would not re-charge. I am not happy with these batteries as they should be dependable for more than 18 months. I have over 20 tools of Ryobi that are dependable and I enjoy. Batteries should have same quality, disappoints. This is 3rd battery I have that has failed to re-change in last few months

The battery life is more limited than I thought it would be, but I can work with it. I was just too interested in saving money.

Battery were hard to find . I am having to replace my 40 and 18 batteries every year . Very satisfied with all tools performance but battery life and battery cost are making me question if this is the right platform for me . Also had 4 people in orange aprons watch me check myself out .

I have a 40V 4ah battery and I bought this thinking I could swap this out while the other is charging. However, after being fully charged, this battery lasts less than 10 minutes in a leaf blower. Then it takes over 2 hours to charge. Not worth it! Spend the extra money to get a 4ah - I typically get 25-30 minutes of leaf blowing and/or weed wacking with that one.

The 40v system is very disappointing

I got this battery with the Ryobi 40V handheld pressure washer. In that tool, it doesn't last all that long (maybe 25-30 minutes of intermittent use), but it delivers enough power for smaller jobs. I have also tested it in a 600 CFM leaf blower, as well as the 20-inch self propelled lawn mower. Worked fine in both, but you do get less run time than the bigger brother 4AH and 6AH batteries, but on the flip side you also have less weight to swing around.
