I replaced an older controller with this. It is great if you want a basic system without all the bells and whistles. I had a 7 zone system a 7 channel system and this was a good fit. easy to program also. I ordered on line from Home Depot and picked up from the store. Great Service.

Didn’t last a full year
We bought this mid summer last year and just had to unplug it due to a very hot electrical smell. Glad we were home to jump on it before it became a dangerous situation. Pretty scary.

The unit seems fine. I did think that the instructions could be clearer. For example, if you have a 9 station timer and you only have 8 stations, when you set the days to water, be sure to go to number 9 and turn all days Off or it will come on every day.

I bought one of these about 10 years ago, it got hit by lightning a few months back and you couldn’t read any of the info on the screen. So I bought another Rain Bird since I had such a great experience on the last one. Definitely a keeper. You can set up to 4 zones and you can set what days and times to run, very easy to set up and understand.

Installation instrux enabled 30min total time to install 9 zone controller and run active tests. Flawless performance in 2-1/2 weeks since. Exceeded all of my expectations for functional simplicity.

Easy to install and program. The program method is less intuitive for those used to the bulk of other indoor timers, but seems to work better for my tenants who were not familiar with programming one. It has a lot of one button settings. This is probably best for first time users.

I received this item very soon after ordering it. This is a great product and so easy to install. I was given a “professional quote” of $500.00 for replacing my old unit. I chose to do it myself at a savings of $475.00.

If a watering cycle(s) does not shut off, it's likely due to debris trapped in the valve diaphragm, not allowing it to completely seal off water from your lines. To remedy, flush the valve by temporarily opening the bleed-screw on the valve itself and re-tighten. If you're still experiencing leaking water, you may need to remove the valve bonnet and inspect the diaphragm for any small tears, and replace as necessary.
