Works great
If your installing multiple micro-sprayers, this little tool is a must have. Its simple but effective, big enough to get a grip on and I advise putting a lanyard on it......if you drop it, its difficult to find.

Makes a nice hole but is a little hard to grip. So you have to pinch and push at the same time.

These things usually are junk but this one works and as long as the little thing doesn’t get lost should last years. A big surprise

Have only used it to make two holes so far on ten year old 1/4" tubing, but it did a great job. Very easy to insert to make hole.

It will punch a hole in the line, though it takes huge grip strength since the body is so small. Ended up using locking pliers to hold it to punch the hole.

This item is simple and well-designed for the type of plastic tubing indicated (1/4"). It's flat and has grooves on its body so it won't slip while using it. It seems the pointed end stays sharp for multiple uses - over 10 times so far. The depth of the puncher is designed to be long (or deep) enough without going through the other end of the tubing. The body including the puncher is durable and long-lasting. The whole is meant to insert a finger to give leverage in punching. The design of the whole tool is well thought out. This is a great but simple tool all around for such a small item.

Duplicate of tool in drip irrigation kits
This little punch works well to puncture holes of the correct size in the stiff 1/2" distribution tubing used in Rain Bird systems. However, there is a similar tool included in the Rain Bird drip irrigation kits that both punches a hole and inserts a dripper, as I found out when I bought one. So no need to buy one if you're buying a kit.

Tool is good but why are they BLACK - why not a higher visibility color?

You didn't send the Rain Bird drip hole punch. You sent me a 3/16" concrete drill instead. So, no it doesn't do me much good.
