Product Details

Flush your drip irrigation lateral quickly and easily with DIG's Q58 Compression End Cap. Install the End Cap onto the end of the 1/2 in. (.700 OD) poly tubing. To flush the line, unthread the 3/4 in. cap for periodically flushing dirt, sediments and debris that have accumulated within the drip lateral or dripline, keeping the system clog free. It is recommended to flush the system each time you add or replace components and at the beginning of each season.

Q:How is this product different from model Q60?

A: The diameter is slightly larger on the Q60 0.710" The Q58 is 0.700" So you really need to verify your supply hose size. I think the 0.700" is the most common size. All of the fittings that are 0.710 have the blue insert in the connection sleeve.

Q:I need to plug the sprinkler itself at the source because I no longer need that station for tubing. The little plug I have now is 3/16" in diameter and 1/8" long.

A: It sounds like you are trying to plug a 1/4" line. If that's the case this will NOT work. This is meant to plug the ends of the 1/2" main lines. The primary use for these is to open the lines and drain them during winter in cold freezing climates.

A: Maybe you can take the end cap to cap off the soaker hose. I used it to cap the end of drip irrigation line that’s on a timer. I have also used the end piece to replace the cap on the irrigation valve that works on my timer. Hope this was helpful.
