This couldn't be easier! I didnt have to cut the shades down as the 30" were the perfect size for my windows. But the directions to cut the size were simple and easy to follow. I get direct morning sun which causes my livingroom/diningroom to heat up quickly in the summer months. I am hoping these will greatly alleviate this during this summer. My windows have a "lip" at the top so I had to play with the placement of the shades first before removing the adhesive strip covering. One placed, they do not move! The quality of the shades were nice. Substantial and not flimsy material. Highly recommend!

I had no trouble installing this by myself and it works exactly as intended. Blocks view into bathroom from outside, but lets in lovely, diffused light. Simple adhesive strip on top of shade holds firmly to top of window opening. I did NOT cut to size as the standard size fit my window.

Overall a nice fairly inexpensive shade. I had a very cheap paper shade in my home office window that I replaced with this shade. I spent less than 5 minutes removing the old shade, cutting this one to size, and installing. My only gripe is this shade looks like it was beat up pretty bad before it was even shipped. The box was not damaged at all, but there are several dents in this bottom of the blind and even a crack. I ended up cutting the cracked portion off and was able to turn the bad dent to the outside. There's a small dent facing inside, which isn't a big deal. Compared to the paper shade I had before, this is a major upgrade. Just a note, be sure to get yourself a very sharp knife when trimming, no serrated blades. Follow the instructions on cutting and you'll end up with a nice looking shade. I would certainly get more of these, but I would have to go into my local Home Depot to make sure I am getting ones that are free of any damage. This shade will not be getting a ton of use, so I think it'll last a while, but otherwise, I'm not sure.

The Shade comes with simple installation instructions, trimming scale and trimming guide. All that is required is to measure to size needed, cut with a sharp knife using the guide and install. We installed the Shade in our master bedroom and we are very pleased with the appearance and function of the product.

Could not be any easier than this shade. I got this for my husbands new music room where he wanted filtered light but privacy as well. It was a new reno and we have spent hours just hanging things . This was super easy just remove the strip cover and stick the shade to the window frame. It can easily be cut to custom fit your window and comes with a handy cutting guide. Also easy. Our shade was a bit smushed in shipping but it easily un smushed and installed perfectly.

I have just finished installing the "Easy Lift Trim-at-Home Natural 9/16 in. Cordless Spun Lace Fabric Light Filtering Cellular Shade - 48 in. W x 64 in. L". I am very impressed with this product. At 1st it seemed to be a medium quality material but after it is installed you will come to the conclusion that it's production is extremely efficient. The shade is very light and easy to handle. Installation was a breeze. The self measurements which were attached to the shade itself makes it so easy to cut it down to size. They also give you a plastic sleeve which you slide onto the shade and it becomes a guide for cutting a straight line. They really thought of everything when it came to installing the shade. It uses adhesive strip which is attached to the top of the window. The only drawback I see from this is if the under portion of your window seal is finished with knockdown or some type of rough texture the adhesive strip may not hold as well as it would against a flat smooth surface. This can easily be remedied by a small application of glue or a few tiny screws. I will attach a few pictures. My conclusion is that I will be purchasing 4 more of the shades. I love the way they allow the light to come through but no one can actually see into the home.

This is the easiest shade on the planet to install, it’s cordless so it’s safe for kids, and the cellular fabric helps with the bills. Redi Shade has created the perfect window treatment. Our original shade was damaged in shipping. I made a call late in the afternoon, left a voicemail, and within two minutes Redi Shade called me back—wow! I explained the problem and she said they would get a new one out to me right away. The next day I got a second call letting me know the shade has shipped and should be here in two days. This is exceptional customer service!!! These shades are genuinely easy to cut to size. I had doubts the double-sided tape would hold the shade because I have knockdown texture on my walls, but it is sticking up just fine. The privacy is great, and the cellular shade helps with heat/cold transfer through the windows. If you’re a landlord, do your AC unit, and your renters, a favor and put these up. They’re a great value, and house flippers would do well to list this energy efficient upgrade on their listings. These shades go up and down smoothly, though at the top it takes a little work to get it totally flat—mine goes up about 1/16” off, which is not much, but I want to point it out. When the shade is down partially or all the way I don’t notice them being out of level at all. Cordless makes these look so clean and neat! The visual clutter of strings and a pull line has been eliminated, and, more importantly, my kids can’t get hung up in the strings, so these shades are safe for kids. If you live in the great Southwest, at the very least put these up on your west- and south-facing windows and compare your cooling bill against last summer’s charges, and I think you’ll be impressed and find that these already aggressively priced shades are even less expensive. This is a genuine custom fit shade for a bargain price, and I’ve had both. I’m surprised that I don’t see the difference between this shade and one that I spent several hundred dollars on. I would have saved $500 on the shades for our Scottsdale house and saved time installing them. I wish I knew about Redi Shade a long time ago!

I regard these as temporary shades. However, given the requirement they can be the perfect solution. I installed these in a room where my grandkids stay when they visit, so I didn't want any cords which pose a safety concern. They're extremely easy to install. It takes about 5 minutes. The instructions said to use a smooth kitchen knife to cut them. I found the equivalent of a bread knife worked best. I kept the protective cellophane on them, measured and marked with a sharpie, cut them, removed the cellophane, re-attach the decorative endpiece, and push them against the upper window sill. Mine stayed at the opening I selected. Keep in mind these shades come in different light filtering capability, from simple low light filter to complete blackout. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a temporary solution to blinds.

    Read & Follow Instructions
So I thought I would be clever and order a 48 inch wide shade to cover a 22 inch window and a 26 inch window. I was not concerned about the fact I would be missing two end caps but that wasn't the issue. The instructions CLEARLY indicate that the shades must be trimmed an equal amount from both ends and there is a limit of around 8 inches per end for a good reason. . It should have definitely occurred to me that this is a requirement based upon how the shade is constructed and operated. The mechanism that is used to hold the shade in place as it is raised and lowered requires that you cut from both ends to balance the shade. So this was "my bad". I tried to be too clever. My ill-conceived idea aside this is a great shade. The adhesive works well to hold the shade to the window and is forgiving enough to allow minor adjustments to get it perfectly centered and located front to back on the jamb and the fabric looks elegant while allowing filtered light though as advertised. I was skeptical about getting a clean, even cut using a knife but that went well too as you will see in the pictures. The only issue occurred as I ran into the heavy plastic AND METAL mechanism right where I made my cut--where it should not have been. STILL, to my own amazement I was able to salvage the two pieces that I made. This is by no means an endorsement of doing what I did. My result still means that one of the shades will always be in the down position except when the window is cleaned and that will require a special provision. It is in a bathroom shower area so that isn't an issue. The other half required actually adding some weight inside the bottom rail on one end to make it at all functional so DO NOT follow my lead. Buy one shade for each window and cut both ends an even amount as instructed. Your results should be a good looking custom shade at a good price point. Installation should be an absolute breeze with no tools required except for a screwdriver to remove any old shades or blinds that have brackets on the ends. Now that my experiment taught me what not to do, I look forward to adding more shades--following the directions. (Okay folks at Easy Lift. You can stop laughing or shaking your heads now.) BTW, all the pictures were taken after dark or around dark so that don't really indicate the light filtering of the product.

    So EASY to install!!
Wow, these blinds were probably the easiest thing i have installed. It's as simple as peel the plastic off the top and stick it up! It does come with a handy cutting tool its used to make sure you get an even cut when you size these blinds down to your appropriate size needs. The materials used seem top notch. I have no doubt that these will last for a very long time. If the two sided tape does fail, i would just replace it with another piece...but I don't see that happening any time soon. I do wish that these filtered a bit more light, but that is a personal preference thing. It does cut glare while adding privacy. lf maximizing privacy with out giving up natural light is what you are looking for, this is it! And it nicely difuses the light as well.

    Like this blind!
This was the easiest blind to install of all the blinds I’ve ever owned. Here are some specifics about the blind that I noticed: • There are no brackets to install or line up. • No permanent holes to drill at awkward angles • No measuring and waiting for the blinds to be made • No chords to get in the way. • The blind does have to be measured and cut off each end. Measuring was easy. • The cutting takes a little getting used to and does require some force and a sharp knife. • The adhesive application seems to work well. I have used the blind every day for several weeks and the adhesive is still stuck on just fine. • I did have a problem on the second time I used it where the internal mechanism locked up and would not allow the internal chords to retract. I followed all the help documentation which says to pull it all the way out and give it a tug (or three) to get the mechanism to release but this did not work. I ended up emailing customer support who got back to me the next business day. However, in the meantime I figured out to give the bottom of the blind a tap (more of a slap) which jarred the mechanism enough to allow it to release. It has worked ever since. Being unfamiliar with this product, I think I might have been in a little bit of a hurry when retracting the blind which caused it to lock up. • Customer service was responsive. • The blind can rest a little off kilter if you’re not perfectly level when raising it back up. In my opinion, this blind rivals many of the other blinds I have used which were much more expensive. That said, it will be interesting to see of the lifespan rivals the more expensive blinds but so far, so good.

    Easy to Install and Use
The shade comes with markings on the bottom for easy cutting. Each side on the bottom has a ruler with the same numbers on both sides. For example, my window opening was 33 inches, so I cut on 33 inches on both sides. I didn't have to measure it on the shade. You cut it with a sharp kitchen knife through plastic and styrofoam. This model didn't have any end caps so you can still see the styrofoam interior (see photo). It installs easily with sticky tape that is already attached. It pulls down easily and raises easily. It filters the light nicely.

    Easy up, easy down.
These Easy Lift shades are great, especially for the bathroom. I have a small window in the bathroom, right next to the toilet. Having 2 children who are often in there, not having cords hanging down is safe and aesthetically pleasing. Installation took about 5 minutes, but you need to use a very sharp blade to get a straight cut. I used a kitchen knife as shown in the picture and it worked great. It comes with double stick tape for fastening to the top of the window frame, but I also attached two small screws to assure it does not fall down. The shade is light filtering, but does not allow someone to see through it. Overall it is a nice shade that compliments the rest of my bathroom.

Easy installation, easy operation, safe for kids
We just moved into our new construction house and put these shades on every window we have. We have a combination of cellular and pleated, light filtering and blackout. We're happy with them all. In a matter of a few hours, I had shades for 28 windows cut and installed. it really couldn't be easier - just trim them to size and stick them on the window. The instructions say to use a straight blade to cut them, but I went a different direction to save time - I used my band saw. I think it cut (pun intended) my installation time in half. The shades look great in the windows. The light filtering shades allow plenty of light to pass through while providing privacy, and the blackout shades do a better-than-expected job of blocking light. As long as they are cut to the proper size, the only light that comes through is around the edges of the shades. When the shades are up, they are virtually invisible on white windows. Side note: We have a 3 year old and a 5 month old at home, so the cordless feature was a must-have for us. Dozens of children are killed or injured by corded shades every year. If there is any chance of having young kids running around your house, whether you're a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, babysitter, etc, do not take the risk of using a corded option. Actually, to be extra safe, don't even buy the pleated version of these blinds as it does leave some cords exposed. Go with the cellular.

    Amazing shades!
Exceptional product, especially for the price. I was nervous that the instructions actually require cutting with a kitchen knife, but it was really that simple! Their patented trimming scale make it a breeze to cut after measuring your windows, with the pre-marked measurements allowing for correct spacing to 1/4 inch intervals. But I wanted one of these cellular blinds specifically to help stop a draft occurring from a stairway window, and another for privacy through a window with a very narrow frame, so I cut those two at much tighter measurements. The blinds must be cut evenly from both ends to function properly, so I took my measurements, located the center of the blind, and measured both sides at 1/2 length from the center. My cuts were precise and the blinds function exactly how I anticipated. The stairway window draft is very much stifled and the other window now has privacy behind a perfectly cut blind! I did however, damage the plastic bottom on one, but it is hidden since the blind lets in enough light, and the window is so difficult to reach, that the blind may rarely, or possibly never, get raised. This could have been easily avoided if I had started from the bottom and cut more gently (take your time). The only issue I now find is that the folds don't lay evenly from top to bottom. It begins to flatten at the top with more prominent folds remaining at the bottom. I also had to put some double sided tape on the bottom of one to keep it from raising slightly. But the crisp white look, allowance of natural light while still providing amazing privacy, thermal protection, no need for hardware, and ability to custom cut these blinds make them a pretty amazing product!

    Good and Bad
They have a scale on the blinds which is in both inch and metric. Unfortunately the metric seems to be incorrect. My window was 26” which is 660 mm but on their scale it is lined up with 644 mm. So if you use metric be careful. Also I installed two of these blinds with no problem but the third one I put up fell off multiple times. I finally returned it and bought another one. That was the third one I had returned for various reasons. Besides the above issues I do like these because they are so easy to install. You can install them in about 10 minutes. They are also reasonably priced.

Good Looking shade .... but make sure you order the correct size!
The shade arrive on time and was packaged well for shipping. When it arrived, my husband and I realized it was too long for the window. We decided to use it and commenced to cut BEYOND the recommended cut line. DO NOT CUT ANY FURTHER IN THAN THE GUIDE TAPE INDICATES! Once cut, we realized why the guide tape was at the top of the shade .... there is a plastic mechanism inside to assist with lowering and raising the shade .... we cut right through it! Had the instructions told us that little secret, we would have followed them more accurately .... so please, order the correct size needed for the window and follow the cutting guide .... Even though we cut too far in, the shade was easy too install and looks attractive in the window .... an inexpensive way to add a shade where needed .... BUT, the instructions say it can be cut with a knife in a "rocking motion" , we found this very difficult to accomplish and had to result to a hack-saw blade .... All in all, I would recommend this shade.

Easy to Install .... but NOT Easy to Cut
The shade arrived in good time and was packaged well for shipping .... no bends in the carton when it arrived. It has a cutting guide that REALLY helps .... but, the instructions need to indicate the measuring guide tape on the top can be removed and repositioned to help with trimming. I did not discover this until AFTER cutting. Also, it indicates one can use a long knife in a "rocking motion" to cut .... my husband and I found this to be hard to accomplish with a knife .... a hacksaw blade was needed to cut through the plastic housing. Once cut, it installed easily, and look nice and flush in the window. It is a two (2) colored shade .... one side is cream or tan-ish and the other is white .... your choice as to which side shows in the window. I would purchase this item again and I do recommend it .... we are using it in our garage and it is an economical way to add blinds to a window.

It went on super easy, and it works super great. Everyone should own one!
I love this shade. It's a no-nonsense 5 minute installation for a great looking and working product. Here's what I liked about it. Instructions are easy: 1.) Measure the width of your area, divide by 2, cut off an equal amount from each side of the shade 2.) Comes with rulers taped on each side for easy measuring 3.) Has a cut guide tool that slides over the shade to setup and guide your cut 4.) Can use a sharp knife to cut right through it 5.) Pull off the double sided tape strip then stick in place It has both a dark and light side and pulls down, pushes up easily. It'll stay at any height you leave it and it blocks a good amount of light. Made it incredibly easy to put a privacy screen on an awkward window in the kitchen.

    Wow...What a "COOL" shade
This shade is so simple....but amazing. It will fit INSIDE MOUNT windows that vary in size from 19" to 36" wide. All you need to do is use the simple template that comes pre-installed on the shade. Slide the template to the desired width and slice it with a sharp kitchen knife and you have sized your shade to your window. The shades are white on the outside and your color of choice on the inside. That way....when you look at the shades from the outside of your home, they all are matching white, but when you look at the shades on the inside of your home, they can compliment the particular color of your room. There are no screws needed to mount this. You simple peel the adhesive strip on the top and stick to the top of your window. There are no strings "attached". Simple grab the shade and slide it up and down to the desired height. (This is the only thing I don't like about this shade. If you are short, you can only open the shade as high as you can reach. So if you want to open the shade the whole way and you are unable to reach the top of the window, you will need a foot stool) I would recommend this shade. Very simple and very slick.

    Really great idea
These are really good if you don’t want to put a lot of work into putting up blinds and need some to fit an odd shaped window. You just get a sharp knife and use the knife guide that is already attached to them to cut them to size. The blinds already have a guide on them with the width marked on both sides, so you just cut to the size on the scale. The dimensions on the scale already take into account the clearance that you need on either side. When you have them cut to length you can install the plastic end (shown in photos) in the cut end. To put them up you just take the cover off the adhesive strip and stick them up to the top of the window. I haven’t actually installed them yet so if I have more to add I’ll review again later.

    Real Bargain
Sure, the quality is good and you can't beat the price, but the thing I like most about these cellular shades is how easy they make it to custom fit the shade to your window opening. There is a nice, transparent plastic cutting guide that comes slipped over the shade (see photos); you just get your measurements from your window, slide the cutting guide to the appropriate number (in inches and mm), take a sharp, straight edged knife and cut through the shade like you're cutting a piece of meat. Simple and clean. Do both ends like that and you're set to hang, which is accomplished with two sided tape already attached to the top of the shade. And these shades help reduce heating and cooling costs by insulating your windows!

    A nice temporary shade
I have other cordless shades throughout my home that use brackets to hold them up so I was curious about the kind that uses double-sided tape to hold it in place. The tape doesn't hold very well when it comes to pulling the shade down. If anything, I'd recommend getting some stronger tape, especially if you're planning on using this as a permanent shade. Make sure you're using a very sharp knife to make your cuts or you risk tearing the plastic on the frame like I did. My knife was sharp but it didn't take much to rip it further than the cut. The fabric itself is very thin. Keep that in mind if you have pets because cats could easily poke holes in it or claw through it. It feels similar to a dryer sheet, just softer. My order was for the natural color but they sent me white. It's a light filtering shade that lets in just enough light in case I don't feel like raising the shade. I'm using mine as a temporary shade until I get a new window and new trim so this works for me.

Beautiful shades at such a great price. Purchased for a new home build. Great spending under $800 for my entire home. Custom would have cost me $5000.00. They were easy to trim and install.
