Difficult to install

I purchased this head to replace a regular string head because who likes replacing string on those heads anyway? It has plenty of different bolt sizes and fittings that allow it to be adapted to many different weed whackers manufacturers. It works well enough as long as you keep up the speed of the head, especially on those thicker more stubborn weeds. However I would try to keep it away from plastic pipes or vinyl fences, because it will crack more brittle plastic items. (Especially those lightweight downspout extensions - ask me how I know). Additionally I used it to cut the grass in some tight spaces where the mower would not reach, (like on hills, and narrow spots you can’t get into) but the blades seem to dig into the ground while trimming grass in that way. It definitely worked well on the back side of the fence along a wood line keeping the overgrowth down. I liked this head for certain trimming, however I would not recommend this as the only option.

This rating is not due to quality of item, this rating is due to no video, explanation, or customer service availability to help with installation. The product has a list of string trimmers it works with/for which was an incentive for me to buy it, it took the guessing out as to will this work for my string trimmer or not. I looked up plenty of videos and even attempted to contact the company as the request/instructions on the box says please do not return to store for any questions or concerns please call the company customer service. The Ryobi is listed as a compatible product however the ryobi is not made like any string trimmer video I have seen so there is no way to really know how to install. I actually ended up just buying a ryobi blade head.

wILL NOT FIT THE STRING TRIMMER

The product looks great but didn’t fit. I was quite disappointed, it only costed me 20 dollars guess I’ll just take the loss!

Did not fit Stihl weedwacker as outlined on the back. Need receipt to return.

This thing smokes the Ryobi head that costs twice as much.

It indicates that Ryobi is one of the brands that it should work on. However, none of the nuts fit the Ryobi bolt that holds the stringer head.

Easy to install on DeWalt brushless trimmer. Cuts way better than standard line. Manual says not to use blades as an edger which is the only downside

Easy to install, is working great, haven't changed blades yet. And most inportant, loved all the extra parts to make sure it fit my trimmer

Worked on my dewalt cordless trimmer and cut a lot of brush and bamboo

installed on a stilh machine really easy and works well. Really nice for the mustard week and easy on the taller grass - will have to see now long the blades last. so far hold up really well in this crazy growing season

Does not fit onto my trimmer (Oregon 275)

The plastic blades break faster than cord.

"universal" did not fit my trimmer, returned it

Was very easy to install as well as change out a broken blade - worked well for the tall grass and weeds -

Had a little tough time finding right nut to go on my machine. Once I found right one and assembled, it would not turn. After fiddling around with trimmer I found out that I tightened too tight. Once it got spinning, worked amazingly... Cut long grass and brush with ease. Pay attention to not use vertical as instructions stated. I did and one blade snapped off. My mistake. But over all very happy with the results.

Does not fit DeWalt cordless

It works on my battery-powered trimmer and does the job. Be careful. Even with plastic blades it’s more dangerous than string.

cuts well and easy to use

Dulls quickly and breaks easily. If you have anything you want to trim that is thicker than 3/16” these aren’t going to work for you. I gave them a try because I have battery powered trimmer. They got me through the job and were cheaper than renting a gas powered trimmer so I don’t regret the purchase.

Installation was pretty self explanatory and easy, don't really like how fast the plastic blades wear out.
