I installed the RINO_TUFF Push-N-Load 3-blade Universal Trimmer Head on a Ryobi RY253SS straight shaft trimmer. As per the instructions for a straight shaft trimmer with a shaft extension, I removed the left-hand shaft extension and checked for fit the appropriate left-hand nut. I then installed the trimmer head as noted. Tighten the head to the shaft and then used it to trim heavy grass and weeds in the green belt behind my house. Worked well at all engine speeds. Be sure to wear long pants and appropriate safety gear as the clippings where flying.

The Rino-tuff universal trimmer head is a great option for those tough weeds and brush. The blades are made from a durable nylon and can cut through anything your yard can throw at it. It will fit just about any trimmer that is on the market, due to the adapter kit that comes with the trimmer head. If you end up breaking one of the blades, they are very easy to change out. Its as simple as pushing a button. Im sure there are other more durable blades on the market, but this will not set you back very much.

A good option to consider if you want to stop loading trimmer line into your weed eater. The install should be straightforward and only require basic tools. The plastic blades seem reasonably durable, and easy to replace (3 spares included in the package). Be aware that this trimmer can't be used in a vertical position per the packaging (see photo).

I have a Ryobi gas trimmer. It would not connect up to the straight shaft expand-it attachmet but it did connect to the curved expand-it shaft I have. As far as cutting it works as expected I believe. It comes with 3 replacement blades. The blades are very simple to change out when needed. It also comes with a variety of nuts and bolts to attach it to various trimmers. Would get again. Made in China

I was on the prowl for an attachment for an older weed eater that would replace the difficult to reload the string mechanism when I found the RINO-TUFF PUSH-N-LOAD 3-BLADE UNIVERSAL TRIMMER HEAD. The trimmer head design looked interesting so I decided to see how the install would work out. The package provided a number of different size bolts and nuts to adopt the trimmer to a number of different brands of weed eaters. The installation instructions are straight forward with sample pictures to guide you through the install. The product appears substantial enough for use and I would recommend it to update an older trimmer.

I have a very old Craftsman line trimmer. The line mechanism was broken. This thing is a powerhouse and I did not want to part with it. I purchased Rino-Tuff Push-N-Load 3-Blade Universal Trimmer Head. I needed a (Jam nut) in addition to what the kit came with. I got one at the hardware store for .69 then put it all together. I am amazed! Seriously. I can edge the yard like a pro! No not trim but edge the yard! Yes of course you can trim it also. Absolutely a 5 Star item. Dont let anybody stand in the spray path of this thing. Cant say enough. Be careful next to a wood fence as this thing will scar the wood. Amazing!

After 3 uses on Ryobi trimmer, ruined the shaft bushing. Trimmer is now leaking grease from the shaft. Going back to string.

Don't waste your money! I would rather rate this no stars.
Broke the yellow plastic head 15 min into using it. took it back and exchanged for another oe, the next one lasted 20 minutes before the same yellow plastic head broke in the same place. You would think they would use metal when you have a part that impacts hard objects on occasion.

      Less than 1 star.
Disintegrated after 60 seconds. Replaced the blades, reduced RPMs, changed from thick brush, kudzu style weeds and thick crabgrass to only light weed and grass with the same result. Except it lasted 2 minutes before disintegrating. I have a gas powered Stihl weed trimmer. The blades were very easy to replace. Good for a small lawn with light grass only. Look out for the edges of sidewalks, concrete borders, pavers etc. the blades will disappear.

WORTHLESS, COST ME MORE MONEY THAN ITS WORTH
put this on my Stihl trimmer, seemed to work good at first and that's about it. the grass would wind up on top this head between the head and trimmer. it would wind it self so tight and get so hot, it cooked the bushing in the shaft and made it all pull apart. now i had to buy $60 in parts plus a few hours of my time to fix my trimmer...
