The color didn’t quite match what it said or was on the splotch on the lid, a little bit lighter shade, but the deck looks good and the important thing is that the product did a great job in covering and protecting the deck.

Worth 6 Out of 5 Stars--Great Product for Us!
This product turned out to be the greatest covering for our deck that I have tried. It is very thick and has a gritty feel that makes for sure footing. I was so happy with it that when I realized how it worked so well I thought it was worth 6 out of 5 stars.

This super thick paint (hint: 6x means it is 6 times thicker than normal paint) is tough work to apply. Use the recommended roller AND primer for this product. Hand brush the cracks between the decking boards and work on TWO deck boards at a time. It is ugly for awhile until it self-levels and dries to a nice thick layer. Plan well for an "escape" upon completion -so you can get off the deck with stepping in the product. Follow their directions well --INCLUDING deck preparation before getting started painting. I hope it has the LONGEVITY it claims it will if applied according to directions. We are loving it so far (less than 30 days)

My review- ok well the product didn’t cover well- that’s because when they gave me the item in the box it came in when I got it home some half asleep person hadn’t noticed the box was leaking- so when I got it home one third of the product was leaked out of the can- the can was a mess also from all the leakage- does anyone there know how to replace a lid on a paint can after tinting the product?

          HORRIBLE
ZERO STARS Followed directions precisely. Looked GREAT on my wood decking for three days. Woke up on day 4 and the entire deck was bubbling and subsequently popped leaving the wood surface. DO NOT buy this garbage

                      Very hard to use
Too thick to be used on anything besides a flat surface will not work on banister or stairs. Seems to add texture & durability to the surface of my older wood deck but as stated prior it was very hard to use and will not work anywhere that is not horizontal.

We understand your frustration. Please keep in mind that the Rust-Oleum RockSolid 20X Deck Resurfacer is suitable for use on horizontal surfaces only because of the thickness and texture. It is designed for use on very old, weathered decking to fill in and refresh the surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum

I soaked in to my dry wood so coverage was minimal for a gallon... I like th texture but sure makes it expensive to do my whole deck.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Janna! Each gallon of Rust-Oleum RockSolid 20 Deck Resurfacer has a recommended coverage of 40 square feet with a single coat. Older decks may soak up more product, so the coverage may be a little less, depending on the condition and application method.

                              horrible
Chipped in first couple of months and by following summer it looked horrible. My deck looks like crap and it cost a small fortune that was basically flushed down the toilet.

                                Sorry, can't recommend this
First of all, it's crazy expensive. But....after doing some research and talking to a local painter, it came fairly highly recommended. Unfortunately that was not my experience. My deck was old and covered with several layers of old paint, so I had it blasted to get down to clean wood. After they cleaned it, I washed it with the Rocksolid deck wash and allowed it to dry completely which happened fast since it sits in the sun. I primed it twice because the first coat soaked in quickly and waited until the next day to paint. I used a tarp on my railings to keep any dew off, but there was none and no purple-ish color so it should've been dry. Then came the application, it went down on a cloudy day, so the deck wasn't hot to the touch. This stuff's thick. Really thick so it took a long time to apply and get a nice coating on the deck and fill in any large-ish cracks and keep it mixed. As a prior review noted, the roller doesn't hold much so you have to go slow or risk pulling it off. My deck is just under 500 square feet so again, it took a while. Let it dry for a week as we left that night. Looked great once it was done and lasted the summer with the traffic from 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs and a good number of guests. Then came the next spring. The pics below are what I found when I opened up in the spring and are about what it looks like now, minus some more paint. It basically came up in strips and bubbles up when it gets wet, so I'm having it blasted off and will try a good epoxy laid down by a pro. I was hoping for more than one season out of it, but the response from Rustoleum was to re-coat and it's too expensive to do every year. Can't in good conscience recommend this to anyone unless maybe if a pro puts it down to be sure it's done right or it's done on new wood, but even the newer planks on my deck bubbled and stripped off so I don't know.

Product is great. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do by providing a repair and refinishing your deck. It spreads like tar/cement. We found it easier to use a regular roller. The roller the video recommends does NOT work. I ordered online, then took it to Home Depot to have to shaken professionally. Worked out great!

REDWOOD..20X I have done a lot of painting inside and out including my deck and with that being said, I have never used paint this terrible ever. I followed the instructions to the T and put down my first coat to have it over grittng in areas and very little coverage. Started the second coat and it was horrible. Paint is almost yellowish looking / Transparent / Very difficult to roll an even coat. I returned the balance of paint and got a different brand.
