    I am a techie and I love this refrigerator, all of the settings are accessed via the main display, I can control my Ring security system, view a video feed from my door bell camera, surf the web and so much more. Oh and its not a bad fridge either, the flex-zone drawer is great for adding drinks, etc., the bottom freezer drawer is very spacious and adequate for a family of 3. Some folks stated that you can't fit a gallon of milk or cartons of juice without laying them on the side but there is a retractable shelf that you can slide back to make room for those items. I have also had no issues with the ice maker. Lastly I was pleasantly surprised that the finish is actually fingerprint resistant stainless steel. That's all, thanks for reading!

    Horribly difficult to clean.
    Something spilled between the shelves and I’ve tried every way possible to remove the glass tray to clean it and it’s impossible.

      Wow, what a fridge, we have never seen anything like it before in our lives!! We have had this refrigerator now for almost a month and can't say enough good things about it! We have never enjoyed a fridge so much!! A fridge is made to keep your food preserved, this fridge does that as well as creating a functional entertainment and organizational kitchen centerpiece!! Our old fridge was a French Door refrigerator and honestly we didn't like it, but this version has the "Flex Drawer" which we LOVE!!! I has it's own thermostat and is great for anything!! For us it's perfect for our kids to grab their own drink, yogurt or slice of cheese without needing a chair to climb up on! There are 3 separate thermostats to control 3 different areas of the fridge - Main fridge section, flex draw and freezer and you control all of these by the touchscreen. There is plenty of LED lights throughout the fridge which makes it nice and bright when looking for things! All the doors and drawers open very smoothly and easily, however you need to close them firmly they will not close on their own. If a door is left open you will hear a gentle musical sound to alert you. The water dispenser is touch activated with 3 options - water, cubed ice and crushed ice. There is no waste when it comes to space in the fridge! It seems larger than our last one and yet is the same overall size! Ice cube tray is very big which we love since our old one was smaller and we use to run out of ice all of the time! It is the quietest fridge that we've ever had you don't hear it running at all! The new black stainless finish is a dream!! I just love the way it looks in our black kitchen, it looks so smooth and sharp!! The touchscreen is both amazing and fun! While a computer on your fridge is unnecessary, it is an awesome feature if you have the money to spare! It includes many features and apps built in. My husband set up a Samsung Account, downloaded the Samsung Family Hub on his phone and linked his g-mail account in 15 minutes and just loves it!! We love the picture slide show feature so we can see our family photos rather than taping pictures to the fridge! We love the calendar app which helps us to stay organized (my husband can't wait for me to take down my paper calendar but I'm not there just yet!!) The sound system is of course not better than my Bose speaker but it's pretty good for a small speaker and it's perfect to just have a little music playing in the background while your working in the kitchen! It has a 3rd party music app included, as well as the ability to play music from your iphone library or you can link to Pandora. There are apps to take notes, set timers, plan meals, save and create recipes, make lists, search the web, check the weather, link to other smart devices, as well as use voice activated Bixby. Bixby is easy to set up and use and a nice "hands free" feature. It also has a Smart View feature with camera inside the fridge to see what's in the fridge from a location outside your home (like the store!) Many of these things are not necessary but they do make this a really fun focal point of your kitchen, which if you are like us we are always in!!!

      Great refrigerator for a growing family
      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is perfect for a growing family who requires space for weekly shopping trips and at times leftovers. This appliance is well designed with a two-drawer freezer on the bottom. Because there are two drawers it’s easy to see what you have or place more delicate items in the top drawer. The top French doors open to a large area with a well-designed interior with plenty of shelf door space. It’s easy to see and plan weekly meals. And yes, a large pizza box can easily be placed on any of the shelves. The flex drawer is great for party planning or pre-prepared meals for school or work lunches. There is so much technology incorporated into this appliance. The refrigerator is well lit by the led lighting and the cameras are helpful during shopping trips. Do we have any milk left? Did I remember to pull the steak out of the freezer? The tablet embedded in the door is great for a family to share schedules on the included calendar application and having Bixby available to add items to my shopping list or even to ask questions about recipes or anything in general. I have many times planned my weekend using the weather report I obtained from my refrigerator. This is a high-end appliance and one I will enjoy using for years to come.

        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 12yo model we had and wow, the 28cu. ft. was really needed for our growing pre-teen kids. This fridge is large and just barely made it through the front door. (I had to remove our front door so that it cleared) It was really easy to setup and works very well. It’s very bright inside with the LED lighting. The flex door comes in really handy for our deli meats and cheese. It makes it easier for the kids to make a sandwich without having to open the big door every time. It has a very deep freezer with plenty of room on the top drawer and has a door pocket for smaller items. The ice maker works and supplies the usual cubed and crushed ice and water. It doesn’t seem to take too much room in the fridge. There’s still plenty of space on the door with the ice dispenser for small items and the other door has gallon bins on them. We use the touch screen to make a shopping list that get's sent to my phone. It made my trip to the market so much faster since I didn't have to call my wife several times to ask what else was needed. She was able to update the list as I was on my way to the market. Another great feature is being able to look into the fridge (not the freezer) and see what you have inside while you’re out. The items I crossed off from my shopping list stay in a reminder list with expiration dates based on when I crossed it off. It sends me a reminder when certain products might be expired which is really cool. I’m able to play (Pandora and iHeart Radio) from it and stream the audio to my Bluetooth speaker. I can stream from my Samsung TV over to my fridge, for example, a cooking show that you had recorded on your DVR can be played back to your fridge. A feature that I also liked was that we can send notes from the screen, for example, I needed my son to do an errand and from my phone I wrote a message that came up on the screen on the fridge. My son also loves to draw pictures, so he is always drawing images on it. One thing that I noticed was that the front doors aren’t magnetic, so you can't stick anything to it, but the sides you can. For my kid’s accomplishments from school, instead of sticking them to the fridge, I take a picture of it and sent it to the fridge to display. I don’t have any real issues with it other than it leaves some finger prints and that sometimes I notice that the screen doesn’t time out and have noticed that it was on overnight. I guess time will tell if this will cause any screen burn in down the road.

          Smart refrigerator!
          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this fridge as its huge and has great features. I like how I can browse youtube on it or listen to music. I loved the Bixby feature which answers your questions. I have put up my pictures on the fridge which gives it a very customized feeling. I like how the storage is huge and love the deli tray as that where my chicken and meat goes. Only thing I do not like about this fridge as the French doors don't close on their own and we have to press the doors hard to shut it.Well at least there is an alarm when the doors are not properly shut so you know they didn't shut properly. I wish the door had more storage to keep the paper cartons of milk. There is not much place for high cartons or packages in the inside shelves. Overall I love product as it fulfills its purpose of a huge fridge and has lovely lcd features to use. Also we can download their app to see what is inside the fridge when we are out of home.

            Amazing!!!
            Our refrigerator was delivered yesterday and I love it, the lighting and flex compartment is great for dairy items, and it is really cools great, but most of all, for my husband is the digital screen, a computer, another fun toy for him!!!

              I was undecided on how to rate this Samsung 27.4 cu. ft. Family Hub 4-Door French Door Smart Refrigerator in Fingerprint Resistant Black Stainless. When it arrived, it would not cool, no matter how much we messed with the settings. It was a Saturday, so Samsung customer support was not available. We spent the better part of the day trying to figure out the computer software, and get the computer working. While I was able to make it work, there were some glitches in the software that left me skeptical. Monday, I called Samsung, and after much time dealing with their less than satisfying telephone support, I was able to get them to commit to sending a service technician out to fix the refrigerator. I was told to expect their service department to call me and arrange for them to send someone out. I never did get that phonecall. Instead, I got a couple emails saying that they would be out Friday between 8am and noon. Their service was being handled by Dish Network. I'll admit that having a satellite TV technician come work on my fridge didn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence, but I figured that surely if Samsung was confident in them, I should give them the benefit of a doubt. In the meantime, the computer on the fridge notified me that there was a software update available, so I authorized it to download the update and install it. The update did indeed seem to stabilize the Family Hub software, so it interfaced with my phone better. It didn't make the fridge start cooling like I hoped, but it did improve the software. Friday morning, at 8am, the repair technician from Dish Network showed up. He looked things over and we discussed the problem, and what I had tried, to make it work. He went through the computer and verified that was not the issue, and I mentioned an error code "84C" that it had briefly shown. Error code "84C" means that the compressor is not working. The technician opened up the panel on the back of the fridge, and we saw a blinking red light on the circuit board. He explained that the blinking light indicated a problem. He looked around, and almost immediately spotted a wiring harness that was not plugged in to the circuit board. And what did that wiring harness control? That is right, it controlled the compressor. Evidently, someone at the factory had left it unplugged, and that explained why the compressor was not working. The technician plugged in the wiring harness, and the compressor kicked on, and the blinking red light went from blinking to a steady red light, indicating that the error was gone. I must say, that the compressor is very quiet, and you really have to listen close to even hear it. Compared to our old fridge, it really is quite amazing how quiet it is. The technician set the temps on the fridge to cool down as fast as possible, and then stuck around for an hour to verify that it was cooling properly, so he wouldn't have to make a second trip in case it didn't. Once we were satisfied that it was now working properly, I signed the work order, and he left. I spent the rest of the day going through the computer, finishing setting up our WiFi, Bluetooth, etc., and trying out the apps that Samsung installed. About half the apps installed are totally useless to us. Some, only apply to someone in certain geographical areas, some require joining or paying a subscription to the app company to reap its benefits. The other half of the apps are okay and useful to us. My 6 year old granddaughter especially likes the white board app, and she spent some time drawing pictures on it. She also likes the memo app, and used it to practice her writing. I was very disappointed that the Smart View app only works with the latest Samsung phones. So too, I was also disappointed that none of the apps allowed me to stream music via Bluetooth from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I am able to do so with my car stereo, and a stand-alone Bluetooth speaker in my shop, but for some reason, am unable to on this fridge. The Bluetooth on the fridge seems to be unstable in general. It will recognize my phone, and pair up to it, but then forgets that it is paired up, yet my phone remembers that it is paired to the fridge. In order to get them to pair up again, I have to unpair it from my phone, and then pair it up again. I do wish that Samsung had thought to include a File Manager app, and the ability to install apps from Google Play. For instance, using the Internet App, I was able to log in to my Google account, but not able to access my Gmail, or other Google services, other than my settings for purchasing from Google, etc. Supposedly, you can stream audio and video through the fridge computer, yet I cannot, since I don't own a Galaxy S9 or later. So, it would be nice to be able to use YouTube or some other method of streaming audio and video to the fridge. As for size, we absolutely love this fridge. It is nearly twice the size of our old one, so having all that space is wonderful. It does take up a lot of floor space, so be sure to measure your kitchen space to make sure you can accommodate it. Luckily, we just barely could. In summary, at first, when we had trouble, I would have rated this fridge as a 1-Star. However, considering the great service we got from the Dish Network technician, that went a long ways towards redeeming this fridge in our eyes. I cannot praise that technician highly enough, and he really went a long ways towards improving our opinion of Samsung. As for the computer issues, since it is update-able, I hold out hope that Samsung will continue to make improvements in that regard. Being able to uninstall useless apps, and to install ones that the customer finds useful would be very nice. If you get one of these refrigerators, and have a problem, know that Samsung's customer support and repair technicians will be there to make it right. It is for that reason that I now give this fridge a 5-Star review. Thanks Samsung, and Home Depot!

              Another high quality product from Samsung. Black stainless finish is beautiful and smudge resistant. I find it so much better than plain stainless and easier to keep finish sparkling with sloppy teenage boys. The smart screen fits in well with design and the screen savers add to the look. Smart screen is awesome and was easy to set up after Family Hub app. download to my cell. I have yet to master all the options and tools available on the hub but have been impressed with connectivity and intuitive design. Everything you need to organize your day is a simple sweep and point. I had my doubts about how much I would use but I find myself using it more each day. The fridge and freezer offer plenty of room for a typical nuclear family.Plenty of shelves which adjust to your needs and compartments for different food. Third door which Samsung calls the flex zone is great. Adjust temp to particular product separate from the fridge. Ice maker works quickly and produces a good deal of ice in a short period of time.Ice and water dispenser perform great without dripping after dispensing. The fridge is super quiet ,in fact the only noise I have heard is when Ice dumps. Impressive. Samsung quality and innovation is the best.Worthwhile investment.

              27.4 cu. ft. Family Hub 4-Door French Door Smart Refrigerator in Fingerprint Resistant Black Stainless By Samsung. Samsung has put together a complete smart home kitchen appliance that the whole family can use and enjoy. With ample refrigerator space, two doors to give easy access to contents and storage and adjustable shelving inside and on both doors is just the beginning of the practicality of this unit. Two large drawers with humidity control and the water dispenser filter in between them for easy change out. The ice maker is also tucked away in its own little corner, very small footprint. Just below the refrigerator is a large slide out drawer with an adjustable separator and a four setting temperature control for contents stored in this convenient drawer. Then just below that is a two bin (with removable separator) a sliding drawer and a small door length basket freezer. All three sections are well lit with LED lighting. The refrigerator runs quieter than any refrigerator I’ve ever owned. Now for the fun. There is a large touch screen tablet on the outside of the right refrigerator door. It is jam packed with all kinds of apps. It also hooks up to WiFi easily and run quite fast. There are way too many options to share on this tablet but it does hook up via two different apps to your smart phone for multiple operations. The instructions are easily understood and operating the programs are all explained. Samsung has set up the computer portion of this refrigerator to be forgiving and can be easily rebooted. The appearance is beautiful. The fingerprint resistant black stainless doors and chrome pull handles are a perfect addition to any kitchen decor. I just can’t give this enough stars. Excellent job Samsung.

              This smart refrigerator is amazing. It's like having your smart phone on the refrigerator. You can connect to the internet. We have played videos and music all day. You can pull up your recipes from All Recipes. You can add your photos all through the free downloadable app. There is so much room in the refrigerator. The shelves are adjustable to accommodate tall or large items. The ice maker dispenses cold water and crushed or regular ice. There is a cold drawer and a large freezer in the bottom. There is also a divider you can utilize in the freezer. It also has an assistant similar to Siri called Bixby. You can ask it questions such as weather. You can also sync your calendar to it. This refrigerator is nothing short of remarkable.

              DO NOT BUY
              Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is constantly dropped, the voice command does not recognize our voice (yes mic is on and verified through memo app), you cannot download other apps, and the touch screen is worse than a cheap tablet. VERY DISAPPOINTED

                Worst fridge ever
                This is the worst fridge I ever owned in my life. Worst than the cheap fridge you’ll get at your apartment. 1. Have lot of issues with ice maker. Stopped working with in first 6 months. The entire ice makers freezes and the ice breaker can’t move. I had to stop the fridge over night, break the ice etc to fix it. I did it like 4 times and now stopped using ice maker. 2. After 3 years the control panel keep on warning me about the water filter which I replaced 3 months ago. Then the LCD started to stopped responding to touch. It works after Turning off and on the lcd power button. After couple of Months now it completely broken.

                  Just replaced the ice maker for the second time
                  Everything was fine until the warranty expired and the the first ice maker had to be replaced. The replacement ice maker lasted just over a year. I also purchased a Samsung electric stove about the same time and the display started flickering shortly after that warranty exciter and it has gotten progressively worse until now I will be forced to replace it. Theme to consider a different brand for new appliances.

                    Ice Makers on all the samsung refrigerators SUCK
                    we purchased a whole samsung kitchen appliance set. when we remodeled. we have had nothing but problems with the samsung ice maker and so has several of my friends who have a samsung refrigerator. they keep coming out and putting parts only to keep having the ice maker freeze up and quit working. this was not a cheap purchase to continue to have these problems. will not recommend a samsung refrigerator to anyone.

                      so we love the refrigerator. but the ice make is no good. weve had it worked on 5 times. ive now run out of free repairs. had to resultto buying a counter ice maker due to refrigerator is not working. no fix.spent so much money please be fully worned this is màjor issue.

                        each feature of this fridge we enjoy includes the tablet to search for recipes or music or videos while you are occupied in the kitchen. the freezer is adequate, unfortunately, we have to use the freezer space to keep bagged ice. the reason, the ice maker is horrible. the ice maker constantly frosts up into a block of ice. even when cleared of the frost, the ice maker gets clogged with ice freezing to itself instead of ejecting. i have sealed up the chamber and somehow, moist air is still getting into the icemaker to cause the frost. and yes, it is out of warranty and extended warranty. don't know why suddenly it started to frost over. just have to live with it and break down and have a technician try to fix it.

The touch screen never, ever works and the ice maker freezes up constantly. I wish I'd have not wasted money on this and just bought a regular refrigerator and a separate device with a screen for kitchen use.

                            led light went out at the 1 year mark, warranty wouldn't cover it. save the big money and go less so you can afford the samsung repairs
