We finally decided to replace our dreary old white range because even though it was still working, it was ugly as sin. We realize the primary function of an oven/range is to facilitate meal preparation, and while we are finding this range both easy and intuitive to operate, and seemingly energy efficient, it is also stunningly attractive. What we like: 1. The controls are up front – no reaching over a hot surface, or large cookware to get to them. 2. The controls are informative – LCD touchscreen is easy to see, well-marked or otherwise intuitive to use. 3. The cooktop surface is black – hiding spills or stains between cleanups. 4. The cooktop surface is smooth glass – easy to cleanup with a damp sponge (or special ceramic cleaner) and withstands light scrubbing without scratching. The manual advises using a razor blade to remove cooked on food. 5. The oven capacity is large – no worries about accommodating large cookware. 6. The two shelves provided were easy to arrange – with typical “stops” to minimize accidental full withdrawal. 7. The heating is consistent and reasonable – it took 8 minutes to boil a medium-sized pot of water, and 45 minutes to bake a banana bread. Browning was uniform. 8. Large oven window, and good interior lighting – not much guesswork about the state of your meal preparation when looking through the large window surface. 9. Convenient pan storage drawer beneath the oven – for storage of lightweight cookware and pans (but see limitations below). 10. Safety feature of cooktop – A warning light on the cooktop surface stays lit as long as the top is warm to the touch, even though the cooking element no longer glows red. The small red indicator adjacent to the cooktop control knobs only lights up when the knob is set to the “on” position. 11. Safety feature of open door – automatically shuts down the oven burners if the door is left open a couple of minutes. 12. The interior cleans up easily using the electric “self-cleaning” feature, but occasional spills also clean with soap and water if not yet hardened. 13. Installation of the appliance was reasonably straightforward. Some folks may elect to have their appliance professionally installed. We did it ourselves: a. Install the appliance cord ends to the easily accessible electric panel at the rear. b. Add an anti-tipping clamp (supplied) to the back panel. c. Adjust and level the four appliance legs to allow the edges of the surface plate to ride just above the adjacent counters, d. Plug the power cord into the receptacle e. Remove (unscrew) the plastic protective tabs under the ceramic top edges at the back corners, which will allow the glass surface to sit just above the adjacent countertops. f. Slide the appliance into place between the base cabinets toward the wall. The range fit perfectly in between my two stationary base kitchen cabinets. The glass top surface overhangs the sides of the range by just a smidge (perhaps 1/4”), enough to conceal any space between the sides of the range and your counter, so it is necessary to raise the height of the range slightly so that it sits just above the adjacent counters. This design helps to make the range look like it is “built-in.” Also, a narrow matching black “panel” is supplied to attach to the back wall, where the range-top meets the wall, that is intended to fill any gap that may exist at that location. If you have a back-splash, you might not have a gap between the range top and back wall, however, for those that don’t this is thoughtful design addition. We did not install this strip since we plan on changing our back-splash. What we don’t like: 1. The bottom storage drawer is lightweight, and a bit flimsy. In order to make room for the extra-large oven capacity, the drawer is very shallow (perhaps 6”) which limits storage to a couple of flat pans and some cooking mitts. If the drawer is removed (say for cleaning), it is a bit of a hassle to put in back into place. 2. The extra-large oven capacity also means that when the door is open, it sits very low to the floor, and therefore, resting a pan on the door or pulling out a lower shelf, could mean bending way down. 3. The stainless surfaces are not fingerprint resistant (see picture), although they cleaned up easily with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. But for this minor irritant, we think the product quality would be outstanding. Overall, this is a feature packed oven/range with design features that make it an attractive addition to our kitchen. It is modern and convenient to operate. We like it very much and would recommend it to a friend.

This stove is a dream! It is very attractive in a combination of black and brushed stainless steel with a black glass cooking surface. It heats up almost instantly and the front heating elements can be adjusted for full heat small circle or full heat large circle. The oven door has a good weight to it and the oven light can be switched on to check on the contents while cooking. It has a number of great features, one of which is the automatic shutoff timer for baking. Just set the temperature and time for a recipe and it will automatically turn off when finished. It has both a self clean and a steam clean feature for smaller clean up tasks. As an energy saving feature when baking, the oven can be turned off 5 or 10 minutes before the end of the required cook time and the residual heat will keep the food cooking to completion. So far I am loving it! The only thing I can find as a negative, is that the control panel is not backlit and would be easier to read if it were. But overall, this is a winner!

Never thought changing a stove could add such ambiance to a kitchen. This is a slide in design with the controls in the front, how nice ! This the stainless steel version which matches my other Samsung appliances. One big plus is now the bake element is enclosed, easier to keep clean. Having used the steam feature before you can add a little water in the base of the oven, set it, wait, then wipe it down. For tough baked on stuff use the self clean option, It has a nice safety feature which locks the door while cleaning. The wide widow and bright light does make it easier to see what's cooking. And the glass top having the 2 dual 6" and 9" ring elements in the front gives more control too. I will never go back to the old style cal-rode heating elements, besides the cook top looking nicer it is 10 times easier to keep clean. Use the Manufacturers recommendations for cleaning. The digital touch controls are informative easy to use.

We got this range to match other appliances in our kitchen from this brand. Like the others this is a very nice appliance. The smooth surface is very nice and easy to clean. The instructions were easy to follow about adjusting the legs, adding the filler piece on the back. Since this fits over the counter top, the legs adjust to cover it nicely. The 5.8 cu ft oven is large and self-cleaning. The stainless steel finish is and black trim has a great look. Nice addition!

Very nice! Samsung has come a long way, at this point, imho with their appliances. Probably took them a little time to work kinks out when they first started out years ago but now, I like Samsung appliances! They're part of the appliance world at this point and I don't really see them ever going away. This line of stoves/ovens are def quality, prob won't need to buy a new one for years and years to come! The one we liked wasn't their most expensive but for us, it's exactly all we needed! It def looks like one of their most expensive! Like really "high end" so to speak but didn't have to pay as much for that benefit! Ours has the black with border/trim being the stainless steel/silver. Very, very nice black glass cook-top, large dials to cut burners on/off with and has the digital pad(face), for ACCURATE, oven controls! The cooks around here all agree the pre-heat is one of it's best features. Saying it preheats in minutes where as our old stove took "forever", as daughter put it! The oven's light is bright as one should be, you can actually see whats cooking very well! The oven has two cleaning methods, a quick "steam" clean and the more traditional self clean! Inside oven has six rack choices! Oven part of this appliance is top notch, imo! Stove dials are BIG, big round dials and easy to turn. A little too easy sometimes as I accidentally bumped one of the dials other night and it turned on but I didn't realize it. Few mins later someone asked why stove was on, it was me, accidentally bumping the dial! That hasn't happened since, it's certainly not a deal breaker to be "sensitive", I guess is the right word? I like it being able to turn dials on smoothly, easily and not fighting it like my one of my old dials! The burners are ex as far as accurate heat goes. One cook here explained that they could now set something on cook-top to boil but that they could set it to where it didn't boil all the water out anymore! Like when the old stove would boil the water down(with something in it cooking) to nothing, this one boils things perfectly, the water don't boil away yet stays boiling. That's best way I know to describe it! I'm not a cook that really knows a lot but this feature was explained by my mother! Not sure exactly what she means! Anyway, the glass cook-top, it's amazingly easy to keep clean! There have been messes after messes since we got it and some we even thought no way was it going to come clean, all the way. Nope! It cleaned up to just like new, like the day we got it! Couple of times we thought we had def scratched it, but nope! Not a scratch on it! I have to assume the glass top is of really high quality! It still looks new today! After a month of all the cooks over here, intentionally cooking everything they can think of to put our new stove to the test, it gets 5 out of 5 stars!! Only thing is if it's going to last a long time. My grandmothers stove was still working after 30 years, when we got her a newer, updated stove. I've had a couple that were pretty, pretty old and still worked! If in the future this none has working issues, I'll def update my review. But for now, there's no way to know how long it will last, until something happens, FIVE stars with this one! Stove looks high end,doesn't cost high end money and hopefully lasts long time.

The SAMSUNG 30 IN. 5.8 CU. FT. SLIDE-IN ELECTRIC RANGE WITH SELF CLEANING OVEN IN STAINLESS STEEL, SILVER is an excellent stove. It has lots of nice features like a steam clean and knobs on the front so you don't have to reach over pots to change settings while cooking or baking. It is a standard four burner stove but must be handled carefully when installing because it has a glass top which extends beyond the sides and can be broken if mishandled. Since it's a slide-in it can be easily be installed by a do-it-yourselfer.

We have two kitchens in our house. The downstairs has a banquet kitchen that had an old free standing stove left by the previous owners that was well beyond its prime. It was time for an upgrade. We selected the Samsung Model # NE58R9311SS slide in range as it has many features that we wanted and has a price point well within budget. We had Home Depot install the unit and they sent a top notch team to do the job. It was installed quickly and efficiently. The left side of the old range did not have a counter and we ordered one, with counter top, but it has not arrived yet. The stove works flawlessly. Only negative we have is that the oven shelves are difficult to rearrange, as noted by the installers. The drawer under the stove is pretty light weight and so we won't be keeping heavy pans there. It looks great and has a nice front access that avoids the need to reach over hot pots to reach the controls.

I replaced my old oven that came with my house when I purchased like 10+ years ago. My wife and I do a lot of cooking and baking. So it was good to get a new oven. Our old oven was getting worn out. Overall its a nice looking oven with the stainless steel finish and the large knobs that reminds you of commercial ovens you see on TV shows. I like the modern look it has. Here is what I noticed for this oven when I started installing and using it:: 1) the oven controls are at waist level and not at the top back of the oven. So guess what, if you lean over or touch the touch screen a bit, you can accidentally touch the broil setting and you will have to touch the oven off button to clear it. 2) if you have little kids,don't get oven with these oven controls that can so easily be reached by them. They may turn on your oven or broil feature by accident unless you set the lock feature which you hold down the start/set button for 3 secs. 3) the oven controls are a glass touch screen and they are sensitive. My older oven was a touch pad. 4) I didn't like the kitchen timer which had a low two tone chime, and it would stop chiming after about 2 minutes. My old oven would beep and keep beeping until you turn it off manually. So this is one feature that I didn't like on this new oven. 5) The cooking rings, the front ones and the back ones are too close together. So if you were using a large pot on the front one, you can't use the back ring right behind it, you have to use the one diagonal from it. So it's a bit limited for really cooking several things at the same time. 6) The preheat really does take some time to really be at the right temperature. I tested it with my oven thermometer, so your best bet is to preheat the oven for baking and wait for some time for it to really be at the right temperature. I would say give it 15-25 minutes more. 7) This oven has a cooking top overhang of about 1/2 inch on each side. So it will fit a normal 30 inch opening but you have to adjust the legs of the oven to make sure you can slide it easily above the 30 inch width so that the cooking top is about 1/16 inch clearance above the surface of your counter. So this is a bit of a pain that you can't just slide it in. You have to adjust the legs to increase the height. This takes a bit more time than normal 30 inch ovens that doesn't have a 31 inch wide cooking top. I used a wood block to help me prop up each side so that I could adjust the legs more easily. 8) What was nice that they provide is this edger piece that you can install in the back side of the oven in situations where your counter back edge piece will keep you from pushing your oven all the way back because of that 31 inch wide cooking top. See my pic. Overall a decent oven which I can only give it an average rating due to some shortcomings and extra time and pain to install the oven. I also wouldn't recommend for families with little kids, unless you diligently use the lock feature of the cooking controls.

This is a simple, easy to use, understand and clean range. Not loaded up with fancy features I will never use but does everything I want it to. Controls are easy to understand, timers are straightforward. Installation was a bit of a challenge for us but that was only because we were replacing an odd, drop-in style range so if you already have a slide-in you should have no issue. We wanted a slide in for the front control panel. Always hated reaching over the hot burners to reach the controls of a conventional range and since there are no children in the home, their safety is not a concern. Like having the two front burners that can be used as either large or small size so I have more options when cooking. Also appreciate the covered lower oven element for cleaning. The top is wonderful for cleaning though be sure is has cooled enough as the glass tops do retain heat for awhile. Our largest pans fit in the lower storage bin and that is a nice benefit compared to the old drop-in range. Our old range was hard-wired and so we hard wired this one too. The instructions are right next to the connections so it was pretty simple. Obviously don't do that yourself unless you know exactly what you are doing.

This SAMSUNG 30 ICH ELECTRIC RANGE IN STAINLESS STEEL has a nice color. The glass top s very easy to clean. The RANGE has a bottom storage drawer, which makes it nice and convenient for cooking pan storage convenience. The RANGE has two cooking racks that are moveable to accommodate different size pots. It has a bright light inside the RANGE. The controls are conveniently positioned on the front of the RANGE so you don’t have to reach over the hot stove to turn it off.

A great range whose looks matches it function. Everything about this Samsung slide in range is first rate. Very nicely finished stainless steel and black glass .And a huge window to see inside the oven ..Not the top of the line but a great performer. Two of the burners adjust from 6 to 9 inches and are both fast boil.. and they really do get your water boiling quickly. The oven itself is huge and with the bottom element hidden so if something falls while baking you dont get a smoking little blaze in your oven. The touchscreen for the oven is fantastic. Super easy to set your oven to the desired temp and you can set how long to bake at that time. . Also a easy to use timer.. Besides the regular self cleaning setting this oven has a "steam cleaning" setting..you pour some water into the bottom of the oven and set it for steam clean and after its done steaming you just wipe off the interior.. handy for a quick clean..Unique feature is that the touch screen lets you see the temperature rising to where you set it and then it chimes a tune to let you know its ready to go.. And a great safety feature on this oven is a lock button ton the touchscreen that not only keeps little fingers from turning on the oven, it locks the oven door..Overall the nicest range i have ever owned

Samsung 30-inch Slide-In Electric Range with Self Cleaning Oven. Stainless Steel and Silver finish. Beautiful built-in is an excellent update. Oven capacity is 5.8 cubic ft. Two Dual elements 6 & 9 inch plus two 6-inch elements on back row makes it easy to use all sizes of pots and pans. Glass touch controls are conveniently located on front of range. The hidden bake element is a welcome feature for easier cleaning. Range has a self-cleaning system that will burn off grease and food and be ready to use again after wiping off residue. Wide view oven window gives you full view of your food. Bottom drawer feature gives you more space for storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We renovated our kitchen and ran out of money so we had to buy our oven off of craigslist. It cooked inconsistently and covered our marble backsplash. We had a party recently and ordered out instead of cooking because we were not confident that our stove would cook consistently. When my father came for a visit, he looked at all the work we did in our kitchen and all he said was, "your kitchen won't be complete until you get a good stove." We are so happy with our new range. This Samsung range is sleek, modern and beautiful. Even better, it cooks consistently. I can now predict with accuracy when my baking will be completed. The ceramic top cleans up easily. We've burned a few things that splattered on the top and it scrubbed right off and looked perfect again. I did a test with my old range and this new one. I timed how long it took to bring one cup of water to boil. This Samsung cooked almost 20% faster! We are in love and I am so proud when I've shown the pictures of the range around the office and everyone's reaction is always the same, "wow, that's pretty."

i had pretty high expectations as i’ve had all sumsumg appliances since purchasing my home in 2009. i had to replace my stove in dec 2019 so i went with samsung since the stove i was replacing lasted 10yrs. here i am just passing the 2 yr warranty window and both of the front burner on the stove have stopped working. i’m so disappointed in this product. i choose this stove specifically since my mom has trouble lifting her arms due to arthritis and the knobs are on the front which made it easier. also the oven temperature seems to be off.

I would not recommend this oven to anyone. I have had two incidents where my house almost caught on fire. The knobs are very touchy. And I've had the cook top turn on from the knobs being bumped. Also my oven turns on daily from being bumped. Its a beautiful oven and I was so excited to get it. But because of the issues we've had I DO NOT recommend to anyone

i love the look of this stove. the only problem was the glass top scratched right away. i have smooth bottom light cookware and it scratched. i clean it with the cerama bright. the repairman was out today and told me they wouldn't cover it. so, now i have a new stove with a couple of scratches. i would recommend this to friends if they fix it.

upon using the oven, i noticed the temperature displayed on the oven was very inaccurate. when the oven says its preheated to 400, it would only be around 250 inside- verified with an oven thermometer. Temperature is also very inconsistent. shameful for samsung quality assurance

Love it so far!

This stove has a significant safety design flaw. If you accidentally bump the control knobs the burner immediately goes to high.The Samsung service person said they had the same problem and there is nothing they can do about it. We accidentally set a bag of groceries on fire. Samsung refuses to make any changes.

Very even cooking temperatures, classy clean look.

Nice looking and works well. Had to figure out how to lock front panel because it Is very sensitive when cleaning it and also if you lean against it. My only disappointment is that the range faces a window and the center of the oven door is not black and the inside racks are visible even when the inside light is off. Bottom drawer a little flimsy.

We were hesitant about getting another Samsung after our Samsung oven of only 4 years stopped working for the second time but went ahead and purchased one...after one week we are already experiencing problem. Fan is running all the time!! Will AGAIN have to deal with getting service to come in.

Looks far more high-end than its price point for sure. Other reviews re how sensitive oven control is if you lean on stove is correct but not bothersome at all to me now that Ive seen it. Love that glass top extends over counter on each side to prevent spills down side.
