i have it for 2 years. the bottom of the oven is cracked, and i have used it not often. i did not use chemicals for cleaning. see pictures

We’ve had this model for 4 years and we’ve tried to use the broiler on exactly 2 occasions. Both times the result was a broken display. The first time we had it repaired we were told it was a product defect. The electronic controls on the from of the range simply aren’t insulted well enough from The oven itself to withstand the heat. Two years passed and I forgot... went to broil something again and BAM. It’s broken. Saying this thing can broil is false advertising!

I replaced a freestanding range that had a cabinet only on one side. I wasn’t too sure how the exposed side was going to look as the pictures didn’t have a great side view. It turned out looking pretty good. The side is solid black with a few imprint lines. Eventually we will redo our kitchen and put it between cabinets, but for now it’s fine as a stand alone. The stainless steel look really brings a modern touch to an older kitchen. Even with just one cabinet beside it the edge covering the cabinet is great. I hated how stuff would fall between the crack of the old oven and the cabinet. This is our first oven with front controls. What i did not know is that front controls require a fan to keep them cool if the oven is on and until it lowers to a certain temperature afterwards. What this fan amounts to is hot air blowing out of the front directly above the oven door heating up the person running the stove and the room. The fan is a little tricky as well. Let’s say the oven has cooled down enough for the fan to shut off but the stovetop is still on; the fan will stay on until i turn the stovetop off. I found that out on a day we used some stovetop potpourri that our neighbor had given us for Christmas. The fan kept running and running, and i thought “what the heck?”. I turned the stovetop off, the fan stopped, then i turned the stovetop back on. This oven heats up very quickly, same as the stove top. It has all of the oven features i feel are necessary and it’s easy to use. Additional features such as delayed start and an oven “keep warm” feature are a delightful bonus. The top is very easy to keep clean. With some good foam cleaner the gunk wipes right off of the glass that is about 3/16 of an inch thick. Another part that is glass is the front of the door. That glass is about 1/8 of an inch thick. Part of the glass can’t be seen through but the window to the oven is huge with a bright light aiding seeing inside. Inside, the element is on top, so anything that falls down is easier to clean out. It falls into the steam clean area where water can be placed to steam clean. The range comes with two racks that can be placed in seven positions. Inside dimensions are 24w x 18.5h x 18d. Operation of the burners is controlled by knobs while operation of the oven is controlled by a touchscreen. It takes a little getting used to as far as running the buttons. Some options have to be turned off to move to other options. Such as bake and broil can be changed without pushing the “oven off” but it needs to be pressed to go to “keep warm”. Also, self clean and steam clean can be toggled between but have to be turned off to go anywhere else. Unfortunately, the touchscreen can be activated by belly so every now and again i turn on the oven and have to shut it off. There is a lock feature to the control panel though. The stovetop is great with the two front burners adapting to pot and pan sizes and there are heat indicators. What i noticed after a couple months is that we were having some temperature issues. Baking times were taking way longer than they should. So i got an oven thermometer, 2 actually. The temperature was pretty spot on but i knew there was an issue. What i noticed one day when i opened the oven to flip something is that after i put the food back in (i left the door open while flipping, but nowhere near the 2 minutes the manual states) the oven didn’t start heating back up. While the oven temp read 430 my thermometer said 380 many minutes after putting the food back in and closing the door . So i pushed the temp button on the oven, entered the 430 and pressed start. I was amazed, the oven temp started climbing back up from 380 on the panel. After it reached temperature it held it until the cooking was complete. What the problem was, when it was cycling, on its downward swing it wasn’t engaging to heat back up. Of course , this was not right. i got ahold of samsung and they replaced the unit. So, second day in we’re trying to bake some cookies. Set it to 375 and put the cookies in when the timer went off. After 10 minutes we looked at the cookies and they are nowhere near done. I look at the temperature on the thermometer, 310. i punch in the temperature again and it starts climbing from 309 on the oven screen to 375. It is absolutely infuriating. Basically we have to babysit this oven to make sure it’s not up to 80 degrees below the desired temperature. Now this surely must be what samsung thinks an oven should do since 2 of 2 do the exact same thing. And I understand that ovens swing a little bit but we have had multiple ovens in multiple residences and never experienced issues like this, but we’d never had a samsung. What’s so weird about it is the first night we got the replacement i watched the thermometer for a half hour and it never fluctuated more than 10 degrees above or below. It even regained temp from 350 to 375 on its own when my wife opened the door to check what she was cooking. And I thought, “oh good it was just a lemon”. It turns out it is just the way this model is. An option is to calibrate the temp. But let’s look at that logically. Currently when the oven heats it can get up to 50 degrees above the set temperature. So if i calibrate for +30 degrees to bring the low temperature up that makes it +80 degrees on the high end. Sometimes it will hold that high end temperature for quite a while. That’s not a viable option on sensitive baked goods. Did somebody say burnt cakes, cookies and an angry spouse? Another thing i dislike is that the beeper is not very loud. But i guess if we have to babysit the oven to make sure it’s not 100 degrees off, monopolizing our lives, we’ll be close enough to hear it.

I upgraded from a previous Samsung and absolutely love my new oven. The flat top is so sleek and it looks like it was made for the kitchen. The rapid boil burners are just incredible for needing to boil water in a short time. The under storage is wonderful and the oven itself doesn’t take much time to heat up. The only thing I do not like so much is how touchy the cooktop is in regards to finger prints and cleaning. Hard to make it look clean once used.

The oven cooks things evenly and is much easier to use with the digital temps. I like the stainless steel with the glass top is so sleek and clean.

My wife went out bought everything we needed for Thanksgiving and we invited the family over to our home this year. It definitely gets the job done and the convenient self clean helped make cleaning up after a breeze. It seems like it just burns everything to a crisp on self clean so you just wipe everything afterwards. So far I have found it harder to scratch than my last glass top and love it due to having kids that like to cook breakfast. I even love how it shows when the surface is hot and which burner it is. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Besides that I have had no issues and no other scratches, I’m thinking the scratch was there and I just didn’t notice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother recently got this new stainless steel Samsung NE58R9311SS Slide in electric range and I am in love with it!! It is absolutely gorgeous!! When delivered, it slid right in flawlessly and lies flat on the counter with no gap for food/debris to fall into. The electric blue led lights match seamlessly with our new Samsung fridge and microwave (which I love as well). I love the fact that you you can lock the control panel to keep the oven from being opened by small children. I also love that there is a burner within a burner to accommodate big or small pots/pans... The temperatures are totally accurate and with me baking alot I need that. I also love that the dark blue interior of the Samsung oven match the interior of my Samsung microwave perfectly!! The aesthetics of this appliance are stunning. There is only one tiny thing I've found a slight issue to....is when you brush up against it, perhaps to put something in the microwave... it chimes at the slightest touch... Just wish it wasnt quite so sensitive..but that's a tiny flaw I am willing to overlook in the grand scheme of things....lol I've always loved SAMSUNG they excel in everything they create.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've really been enjoying my new stove! This Samsung range is a high end, sleek looking with state of the art features. I like that you can select the exact temperature of your oven instead of in increments. I have noticed that water boils faster than my previous range. I like the dual feature of the front burners. One drawback is that even though the stove top is sleek looking, if I have a spill over it can be a little time consuming to get out the spot from the stovetop.

I am disappointed a 5th warmer is not on there as that is pretty basic these days. The oven space is quite large and cooks very well. I have not had so much experience using it but with the holidays around the corner it should get some great use. With the oven being so large, the bottom tray ends up being very small. This is ok with me since the oven is quite large, but the build of the tray itself is not very amazing. It comes off the rail right away and barely holds anything. The reason for 4 stars are the lack of warming burner and quality of bottom tray. I love the rest!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My range was one of the few items left in my house that werent from Samsung so I jumped at the chance to get one and I haven't been disappointed. I ordered the 4 burner instead of the 5 because I have had a 5 burner before and I just never used the 5th burner so on this one, I chose the 4 and I am glad I did. We have alot of decent cooks in our family and having a wide work surface is important and this range delivers that. Each burner has a larger ring of heat and a smaller one. Nice when you have several different sized pots and pans on the burners. Less likely to reach over and burn yourself as cooks tend to do when things get busy. I feel like the burnders heated evenly and they come on almost instantly so be sure to already have your pan in place The stove cooks evenly and seems to be true to temp as I have cooked several items from cinnamon rolls to cakes to cornbread and all have cooked perfectly. I like that there are 2 timers, one to remind you that your food has cooked a certain amount of time and one to actually shut the stove off at the end of the time. This is great if you tend to get busy and forget the bread in the oven. Now, my only drawback that I have found in mainly for shorter folk, as most of my family is. If you lean to stir a pot on the back burner or reach for something, the pad on the front is very sensitive and if your shirt touches it or your body, it is easy to turn on. It gives you a beep to let you know that it has comes on, so that is a life saver for us short peoples. Otherwise, I am completely happy and satisfied with my Samsung electric range and I would buy it again without hesitation.

So clean and high end looking with its large stainless knobs, smooth black ceramic glass cooking surface that overlaps the counter-top creating a built in look, and super slick and easy to use glass touch oven controls. I love that the controls are in front of the range instead of in the back like on some ranges. No need to reach over a hot stove to adjust the controls! The oven controls are very easy to operate, simply enter your temperature with the number buttons and hit start! It has a door fan, presumably to keep the front glass cool, that comes on when you turn the oven on and runs until after the oven cools down at the end. It heats up quickly and everything I cooked came out evenly baked and was ready at the exact recipe timing. The stove-top operates pretty much like any other ceramic stove-top. It heats up fairly quickly and maintains temperature well. I didn't notice water boiling significantly faster than my old range, despite having a rapid boil feature. It only has 4 burners. Overall this is a nice upgrade if you can get a good deal. It looks and feels high-end though it is missing some popular features, such as convection, induction, etc. If I had to do it again I would probably save up another $149 and get the next model up that includes an additional burner, convection and other features. If you are looking for design on a budget perhaps this range is for you, at this price point there are a lot of options and more features can be had for very little more. Definitely do your research as a new range is a big investment. I can definitely recommend the Samsung line of ranges if you find the model that meets your needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first brand new oven EVER, and I feel lucky to have made it a Samsung. There were a few things for me to get used to......first of all, the knobs being where they are is new to me. I leaned over the stove a few times and once accidentally turned a burner on, which melted a plastic tray that I had sat there. So I learned not to set stuff on my stovetop. I also bump the broiler on, but it won't actually come on unless I hit start, so that is not a big deal. I've used the burners a few times so far, and everything seems fine to me. The oven I've only used once, sadly, to bake a store bought pizza. I usually put it right on the oven rack, but not wanting to get my new, clean oven messy, I used my pizza tray instead, which made me cook it longer. I definitely plan on using it more often but lately it's been hectic around here. I am a little disappointed in the size of the storage drawer. Its more shallow that my older ovens I've had, and I have lots of stuff to store, which makes me use the oven itself to store a lot of my baking sheets and things. I do love the timer and the timed cook timer, although I haven't used that feature yet. All in all I'm happy with our new oven, and my 15 year old ( who loves looking at appliances with me at Lowe's) is happy as well. UPDATE 11/16/19....Now that I've used my oven more I will say that I love the timer (and the music it plays when times up) However, I dislike how touchy the screen is and how easy it is to accidentally turn on a burner and other functions on the panel that I have to constantly turn back off. Fortunately it beeps whenever I have accidentally pushed a button, but still aggravating. As for cooking food, I have no complaints whatsoever. Everything comes out great and I love the "keep warm" feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to have a new range, the old one just didn't cook my food evenly. It has a modern, stylish and clean look. The stove top is large and sleek but I wish that one of the big burners was in the back along with a small burner because if I'm cooking something in a small pot, I don't want to have reach across just in case I have something cooking on the big burner and because I like having one of each in the front and back. It's very easy to clean. The display is very clear and easy to read. It tells you the time, how hot the oven is, even when it's pre-heating, time left to cook, and I really like that it tells you when the door is open. The knobs are big and easy to use and read. The oven is spacious but the lip on the back of the shelf is bigger than I like because some of my pans just barely fit. It's nice to 2 options of self cleaning, one for the lighter messes and one for the heavier messes. I also like not having the coil on the bottom which makes the oven so much easier to clean. The drawer on the bottom is smaller than I like because I can't fit all of my pans in there but it isn't bad because it's only 2. The drawer pulls out and closes very easily. The sound for the timer is a little quiet, don't always hear it. I love all the features, the way it looks and especially the way it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome! We previously had an oven that was not old but it did not cook consistently. If I made chicken breasts, one day it took 20 minutes and the next day it would take 25 minutes. It was always a guessing game. This range cooks totally differently. Firstly I actually think it cooks more quickly even though the temperatures are the same. Secondly, when I open the oven door, the heat blasts out like a huge wave that really smacks me in the face. I suspect this range is doing a better job of holding in the heat and I think the heat moves around in the oven, which is why our food is coming out cooked consistently. Besides how beautiful this oven is, I love how predictably and evenly it cooks things. I hate dry chicken and now that I know exactly how long it takes to cook, I now get juicy chicken that is perfectly cooked, every time! Now on to a benefit that I was not expecting...this range's cook top extends beyond the range so it covers the gap that would normally exist between range and cook top (see my pic for detail). (be aware of this when measuring your space for fit) This makes things so much easier to clean up. We can just swipe and the crumbs etc sweep into my hand and don't get caught in a metal seam like on the other ranges I've have had. This edge detail also makes the kitchen area look sleek too.

samsung design the range with convenience in mind . the oven has 2 wire racks that adjust to 8 different shelf heights. the inside of the oven is baked dark blue enamel . the oven light is well placed and automatically turns on when door open. there is different self cleaning option for the oven and steam cleaning to. there a light button on the front control panel. so you see inside without opening the door while cooking. the glass top has 4 burners with 2 rear smaller burners and 2 large dual size front burners the front twist knobs are easy to read and understand there a red led lights to let you know if there on/off. there a well placed front center hot surface warning light that stays on till the glass top cools down. the glass top will extend about 1/2 inch pass. the normal 30 inch stove opening on the right and left sides of the stove .it stop spillage from dropping down the side of your new stove. the stove is design with a optional metal plate that can be attached to the back. if you have a counter top that 25 inch deep. the bottom stainless steel storage tray is about 3 1/2 inch high x 16 inch wide x 24 inch deep .for storing cookie sheet or pans . the stainless steel finish and black finish is perfectly matched . there is also a built in Sabbath feature for baking

An absolutely beautiful electric range. I like the controls along the front, eliminating the traditional raised button controls along the back. The flat surface is ideal to position the stove against a tiled backsplash. However there is an insert/spacer if it doesn't fit directly against the wall. The controls are very intuitive and simple to use. No need to run for the manual to figure out how to complete normal tasks, such as, set the clock, oven, cleaning, etc. It has two types of cleaning. The more traditional hi-heat burn everything off style (user settable to 2,3 or 5 hours), and the more modern 20 minute steam cleaning for quick cleanup. The control knobs are marked indicating turning it one way uses the larger element and the other uses the inner element. All very intuitive. Overall, well built, feels solid and stylish.

No review of this range can begin without saying that it's absolutely beautiful. Having the controls in front and the smooth cooktop all the way to the wall is a definite step up in design and function. The cooktop shows four "burners" but there are actually six. Two of the burners have a small diameter and a large diameter which makes it much more versatile when cooking large meals. My wife is a baker so we tested the oven temp readout vs. the actual temp. They were spot on although there is a function to adjust the temp if they are not synced. The control panel is pretty intuitive and easy to learn. The glass top has about a half-inch lip that extends over the countertop. It makes it seem seamless between the two plus eliminates food from falling between them like most other stoves do. If there could be two improvements they would be, (1) backlight the tough controls (they are difficult to see in a dark kitchen(, and (2) install true roller bearing slides on the bottom storage drawer. These are minor things but would be improvements. Finally, did I say that the range is absolutely beautiful? Paired with the matching Samsung microwave we bought, it's gorgeous.

All-in-all, this is a great range with just a few quirks. If you only use your oven occasionally and want something sleek and modern then this is the perfect range for your needs. We have been using this for a few weeks now and we have a few loves and a few quibbles. The good: it has a great minimalist style. The glass top is easy to clean and offers two double size heating elements (choose the center for smaller pots/pans or both rings for larger pots/pans) and two smaller elements in the back. These get very hot fast. Plus, these seem to work at a higher heat compared to our old range - so around 4 (not 5) is medium. The oven is nicely sized and offers the steam cleaning option for times you may have something bubble over when baking. I can fit my 18" X 13" half sheet pan in there without issues. The oven keeps pretty accurate temperatures according to our BBQ thermometer. The light is nice and bright so you can clearly see how your bake/broil is doing without having to open the door. The controls being in the front are great so you don't have to reach to the back over any hot burners. Plus, they beep at you when you turn them on - just in case you accidentally catch one and turn it on without realizing it. The oven's digital controls are relatively easy to use. And this may seem dorky - but we love the way it chimes when it reaches temperature! Now the not so great: you have to be very careful regarding any boil overs! There is no lip around the edge to help catch any liquids, so if you do have a boil over (see above about how hot this gets) it will be all over your counters and floor. The oven is not a convection oven so you do have to remember to turn your food around to get proper browning. This does have a fan that vents the oven to the front just behind the handle. The handle doesn't get hot but it is odd. Plus, the fan makes a low frequency hum while the oven is working and about 15 to 30 minutes after you shut it off. We're getting used to it, but it was rather annoying at first. The digital oven controls are easy to hit with some clothing articles - especially apron ties. The knobs for the stove top are very silver-colored plastic with a stainless look grain to them. They look alright, but not sure how they will age over time. This is a great basic range and should last for a few years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the New Samsung NE58R9311SS. 5.8 cu ft. 4 element slide in electric range in stainless steel and I am beyond thrilled! This Samsung range is absolutely gorgeous and I have recieved nothing but compliments about it and how amazing it looks in my kitchen...I have since purchased a Samsung refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher to match. I have always loved Samsung products and this one did not disappoint!! The black and silver stainless steel design with the electric blue digital keypad is gorgeous, as well as the interior of the oven. The look of this range is very high end (which I love) and it is a breeze to clean! I love the self cleaning options as well as the fact that the front 2 burners have different size options for big pots or smaller pots with the fast boil option. My 2 favorite things are: #1-The temperature is very accurate (which is a must for baking.) #2- The LOC (lock) feature is a wonderful option especially if you have small kids or pets running around the house...so, they cant accidentally bump the keppad and turn the stove/oven on. Samsung appears to have thought of everything. I actually like cooking again! I hope this range will last me for years to come. My only issue is that I wish I had made this decision sooner and got the convection model...but this one works so well that I havent even noticed. And that the hardest part about the whole process was the waiting for the delivery day....lol

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove is absolutely amazing. The stainless steel finish is sleek and looks very nice in my home. The stovetop has 4 electric heaters of which two are high power (3000W) which make boiling a pot of water very quick, and two are standard heaters 1200W. The open is probably my favorite part about this stove. The heat is circulated inside the oven and helps keep the entire oven evenly heated and helps cook significantly better than my old oven which had electric coils. The digital display and controls are responsive and the dials are sturdy, well labeled, and feel very nice. I recommend this stovetop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using our new Samsung electric range for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. The range has a sleek design that makes it look like it is built into the counter top and cabinets. The range top has 4 burners two of which are adjustable for large or medium size pans. In the rear there are 2 more smaller burners perfect for keeping soups or sauces warm while focusing on the main dishes on the front burners. All four heat quickly and evenly and the glass surface is easy to clean. The oven comes with 2 adjustable shelves and a "hidden" bake element. The hidden feature is actually one our favorite features since it leave a smooth easy to clean surface on the bottom of the oven- no more trying to wipe around the element! It also heats evenly and accurately. I would highly recommend this range.

Very nice stove. Install was straight forward. Ensure your counters are level because the sides of the glass top sit ON TOP of your counter. A curious design, but it keeps debris from falling between the side of the cabinet & stove. Once installed the stove looks great. Modern and sleek. The knobs are a little cheap feeling; light and little tactile feel when adjusting the burners. The control panel is clear and easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, it works just as good as it looks. It is a very sleek, fancy looking stove. It makes any kitchen that much nicer. I think it's a well made stove. I have noticed that the fast boil burners in the front actually boil the water faster than the range I had before. Also, the oven does a great job at baking all my food to perfection. If you like touch features for selecting the oven settings, this is your stove. I do have one negative for this range, though. The burner surface is prone to showing finger prints when touched or spill overs. Sometimes spill overs are hard to clean. You have to apply some pressure to remove them. Finger prints you can remove with a quick wipe. I have tried to be very careful not to drop anything on the burner surface because I'm not sure right now how durable it is on a drop test. Overall I would recommend this range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been thinking about upgrading my tired,old oven for a while. When I found this one, I had no idea how much I needed an upgrade. This oven heats up evenly and quickly. The timer function works to shut the heat off, or you can just use the timer if your cooking on the range top. The oven is spacious, and the self clean function is awesome. It has a detented area in the bottom of the oven for putting in water to do a steam clean. And that really helps get the baked on gunk out easily. The glass top is a god send. It has rapid boil. and that works way better than I expected. The front to burners have two sizes you can use them for, whether you have a large pot or small pot. And there is plenty of space on the range top to use all 4 burners at the same time. The glass top is smooth, so it cleans really well. The glass top also overlaps your counter so it really makes it look like its built in! I definitely recommend this oven if you're in need of a new range.

My kitchen according to family looks classy, new and bright. I think it is a well made stove with a good reputation. I have noticed that the all burners heat up faster and the range then warns you when you are to close by beeping. The oven does a great job when baking everything is leveled, very well calibrated. My family likes touch features for selecting the range, oven settings and the beeping it does to warn you if it's being turned on or off.. We just clean the range with soap and water. Finger prints you can remove with just a wipe. My family knows to be very careful not to drop anything on the glass surface because I don't know if it is covered by the warranty. I have not tried the self cleaning, but I am sure I will after Thanksgiving..Yumm  I would recommend this range to my friends and family. Thank you Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have now been using our Samsung electric range for a few weeks now. The appearance of the range is quite stunning. We went from a standard eye, 23 year old range and the difference it makes in how our kitchen looks is amazing. Very sleek black top set off by the stainless steel and the blue light display. The four cooking elements on top heat very fast. The two front burners are duel element that are six and nine inches. This accommodates pretty much any type of pot or pan we use. The 5.8 cubic feet capacity of the oven allows us to cook numerous items at the same time which saves a ton of time if you are cooking for a large family. The glass touch controls are very easy to read and are easy to use. I really like the fact it shows the temperature of the oven as it is preheating, On our old one I had to turn the temperature knob down till it clicked off to see where it was at. Overall this range is a great upgrade to a modern range and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a capable, easy to use range.

I really like that the knobs are at the front of the range so that you don't have to reach over a hot stove to adjust. The audio feedback is also great. Let's you know that you started the stove and alerts you when it reaches temperature. The oven is huge and with the convection feature it cooks so quickly. I can't be happier with my range and looks fantastic with my other Samsung appliances!!

It is amazing, the burners heat up everything very quickly. Made pizzas in the oven and clean up was a breeze using the steam clean feature. This display is very clear, easy to understand.
