Used in the past with great results . However this time I was trying to use tape in a way it was not designed for. Did not work. My error.

Used on stair treads and seems to be working perfectly....
Used on stair treads and seems to be working perfectly. Solid oak treads that I restored in this 1927 twin with 4 coats of oil based polyurethane and didn’t want a damaging adhesive. This looks like it may be the best balance.
