I have used many different fertilizers on my yard and my sprinkler system maintenance man suggested this one. It is a little more expensive but so worth it. My yard was back to beautiful in two months.

Ive lived in my new house for 4 years, 3 of them years ive been with True Green and they’ve done a great job, but during the Covid 19 we thought that we would save the money and do our lawn ourself, this is the first time that we used this product and we read all the directions and now our yard is burnt, its dead, very disappointed that i left True Green, we will be going back and ill never use this product again, and letting every one esle reading this review to not buy this product, it will kill your lawn!!!

I used Scotts Bonus S on my lawn to get rid of all the weeds that started to pop up. I used a hand spreader and was able to spread it in no time. Within a week the weeds were turning brown and my lawn looked greener.

I have used The Scotts Bonus S Florida Weed & Feed on our St. Augustine grass for many years. Usually purchase one large and one small bag for my lawn. I apply it every Spring & Fall. Always worked like a charm except for the application last Fall. The grass was nice and green. There was a little yellowing of a few weeds, but it didn't kill them. Now they are really bad and I am debating whether to give Scotts another chance.

I applied this product as instructed. I know have more weeds that ever. My grass didn't grow at all, but the weeds are flourishing. I don't know how I'm going to fix this.

Despite the prevalence of dollar weed in southern lawns, I haven't seen one in years since using this product.Unfortunately, since I use a drop spreader, instead of broadcast, I run the risk of striping my lawn. But, I can easily tell that the product works. Especially, early in the growing season.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Six weeks ago I spread Scotts Turf Builder Southern Weed & Feed on my lawn. The result is very good. The grass recovered nicely after the winter rest benefiting from the feed component in the granules. There were many weeds in my lawn and the majority has vanished as a result of the included weed killer. There are a few persistent kinds of weeds remaining, which I hope will perish after a second treatment with the product.

The closer the grass gets to undeveloped lot next door the more weeds appear. Not the fault of the Weed & Feed, it’s the proximity to “bad seed” Happy with results, may try another application sooner than recommended in “problem” area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have saint Augustine grass which at one time looked like carpet but weeds and under fertilization had taken it'a toll and it looked scraggly. now it is looking nice again. much easier than putting out weedkiller and also fertilizer too... I take pride in keeping my lawn happy and it really helped to have the dose of Southern thrown in. This fertilizer sure made my St. Augustine grass perkup and got rid of the weeds in one application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this product about 3 weeks ago. I have a few bare spots in my front lawn, some dollar weeds in other places throughout the lawn. I was really hoping this product would eliminate the dollar weed, make my grass greener and build the turf in the bare spot. The bare spot has filled in considerably and I can see the dollar weeds turning yellow and dying off. I do believe I will need to add another application of the product to eliminate all of the dollar weeds. Overall I am very happy with the results!

I use this with my Scott’s spreader and the appropriate setting. 4 applications a year keeps my South Florida St Augustine green, thick, healthy and free of most weeds.

Very surprised by how effectively this is taking out the weeds. Can't wait for the feed part to fully kick in. Will use on regular basis going forward. Was paying a company a lot of money to come out quarterly to fertilize lawn...no more!

I put it on almost a month ago using a Scotts spreader, and I am very pleased with the results. My yard is a combination of Saint Augustine and Zoysia grasses. My grass looks greener than it did last year and the weeds are a lot less. I can see where it has affected the crabgrass and that is dying. The only thing I did notice was that it did not kill off the wild carrot. All of a sudden my yard has been plagued with this invasive weed and I was hoping that the bonus S could control it. I would definitely buy this again.

Think I had better let my neighbor in on the secret... but then again, he could win lawn of the month too! Follow your Scott's application on your phone app - tells you when to apply and what to apply. Your lawn too will be the envy of the neighborhood!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a difficult product to review because it takes patience and some of the targeted weeds this product is designed for is harder to kill than others. I used this product with dollarweed in my cross hairs. As anyone who has waged war against hydrocotyle umbellata knows, this is one of the hardest weeds to get rid of. Too little product and nothing happens. Too much and you may kill some of the dollarweed but most likely all you will do is kill the surrounding St. Augustine grass. The product was applied on April 4th and when I went back one week later on April 11th there was definite improvement as some of the dollarweed was browning and in the process of dying without any negative affect to the surrounding grass. This is going to be as multi-phase, ongoing process to get as much of the weed killed without damage to the rest of the yard. Overall, I know of no other product that is as effective as Bonus S in killing and keeping my St. Augustine yard as healthy and weed free as possible. I recommend it highly but strongly advise everyone to use as directed because as with most products of this type, more is not always better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scott's products have never failed me. Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed has always given me one of the greenest lawns in the neighborhood. It helps me with weed control and has never been patchy coverage when applied. I don't even consider another product when I am ready for lawn care. Trying to save money by purchasing a "cheaper" product isn't worth the effort .

I applied and watered per the instructions. Even used a Scotts spreader and had the appropriate exact spreader number. After 2 weeks nothing, but weeds were doing great. I called Scotts customer service and they told me it is a great product but slow to kill weeds. They told me to wait 2-3 weeks more. After I waited 3 more weeks nothing. Grass was okay but weeks were thriving. Called again and they apologized and they offered a refund.

what was once a nice lawn ,, now looks like garbage, i followed all the directions and this is the result... I will not be endorsing this product.. huge thumbs down.. thanks for nothing Scotts..

I’ve been using Bonus S on my south Texas St. Augustine grass for over 25 years in early spring . It keeps my lawn green and eliminates the weeds. I’m very satisfied with it and have received many compliments on my lawn over the years. The picture was snapped 5 days after its application. Soon, the lawn iwill be beautiful with few, if any, weeds.

This was the second application in 6 weeks. My front lawn has St. Augustine struggling to grow through the weeds. The first application took about 2 weeks to see some browning of weeds. The frail weeds were most affected, but dandelions, even the dollar weeds and clover touted on the packaging were minimally effected and seemed to be very happy with the fertilizer. The day of this writing is day 10 since the second application. The clover is a dull greed in comparison to the grass which is a brilliant vibrant green, this is indicating the clover is beginning to show signs of distress, but still growing taller than the St. Augustine. As of this morning, the dandelions are still healthy and growing. I'm manually digging them out of the lawn. Overall, I rate the product as "Average". The greening is awesome and the St. Augustine runners are multiple and growing strong, hopefully they will choke out the weeds! However the weed killer is minimal and per my lawn, requires some manual digging in addition to the product application.

Absolutely worst bag of Scotts Turf Builder I have ever received product was so clumped up I had to use a two-by-four to smash it to spread it. Clumps jammed the feed door open and spread excessive product. then I had to walk my front lawn and pick up all the clumps. Excessive moisture in the bag when it was packaged because the bag was sealed tight

Every single bag of this at Home Depot was wet and soggy and unusable. I had to return it.

Very good product. Does exactly what it says it will. Just make sure its for your grass type.. will kill almost anything else other than what its specified for. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. The picture attached does not justice I should have taken a before picture!!

I bought some Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed Fertilizer at Home Depot last week and applied it per the directions. It was super easy with my Scott's mini Edge Guard Broadcast Spreader. I had quite a few weeds and a lot of hard to get rid of clover. Since a picture is worth a thousand words I've included one: The hard to get rid of clover is turning yellow already and the grass is turning super green and thickening up nicely. I used to think Scotts fertilizers were expensive but it wasn't expensive at all at Home Depot. I'm very happy with the results!
