Been using this product since 2012;this product works well, to activate product faster I recommend watering daily. But it's also good to use as a natural pest control. So try it.... And you tell me Only downfall is that Scotts don't have a huge variety of natural products and doesn't say on the label what pests it controls.

Put this product down because it had mild ratios and have pets and small kids. Applied per instructions on bag. Lawn yellowed several weeks after application and weeds have been worse than normal this summer. Did not get any of the desired strengthening and greening- the exact opposite. Would not recommend this product for St. Augustine lawn in SOuth Florida.

Super easy to apply and best of all safe for kids and pets. Go natural and works.

If you do a bit of Google searching (I wish I had before using this product) you will find many many users have the same experience. The product stinks. Literally and figuratively. I applied it yesterday and later int eh day it rained. The smell created is nauseating. And today came the flies - too many to count. Many dog owners claim their pets cannot stop eating this stuff. We have 2 cats and we spent a lot of time and money turning our backyard into a "kitty park". Before yesterday they would spend hours and hours outside - often times we had to round them up at bedtime. Ever since this went down they refuse to even go out back. A disgusting product that deserves 0 stars, if possible.

Two cocker spaniels, one year old and a five year old, were sick with licking the ground & grass after using Scott's Natural Lawn Food. In spite of watering and attempting to dilute the fertilizer, my dogs have been vomiting black goo for two days. Is it the meat meal in the product? Please clarify what is meant when stating "Safe for Pets." As it is, it can be interpreted anywhere from "No adverse reactions" to "Well, it won't kill your pets."

I have been using the "Natural" for several years now, wonderful, no burn, emerald greening. Twice a year I also use this (heavy) on shrubs, trees, palms, citrus. I use it when planting the flower beds.and every 4 weeks when gowning. NO burn, wonderful. Finicky Zoysia grass thrives on this stuff, one thing I've learned is consistency about every 8 weeks year round. I live in Florida, I put it on fairly heavy during rainy season. Never a burn- Several of my neighbor's now use it also, great product., we are happy :)

This product has a triple purpose on my lawn and garden; Fab-tastic as a lawn fertilizer, unbelievable at keeping the irritating squirrels out of my garden (they hate the blood meal smell ...) and good around my borders for restoring my clay soil enrichment. Fabulous...highly recommended product !

This is supposed to be pet friendly and safe for my dogs. All 3 of my dogs got sick from this product. My puppy ended up in the emergency vet with vomiting, diarhea and dehydration. This is NOT a pet safe product!!

Switched from the non-organic Scotts fertilizer to the organic/natural Scotts fertilizer and found this product being much better! First, it is very forgiving - if you apply slightly too much of it in some areas, it will never burn your lawn. Second - with the regular non organic fertilizer, I could always see the areas that I walked through with my spreader on the Kentucky Bluegrass grass that we have in Illinois. It was never applied evenly, no matter how much I tried and how accurate I tried to be with my pattern of spreading. The natural fertilizer solves this problem. You can never see the walking pattern, it always looks like one uniform, clean blanket of green grass. Third, this product is safe for the kids, pets and the water sources. Always important and great feature. Overall, don't expect the grass to become "green" as quickly as you would with a non-organic fertilizer. But trust me, it will become green AND it will be healthy! This is because the nitrogen in this natural fertilizer is a slow-release nitrogen and it takes a bit longer to give that green color to the lawn. It will also be a bit lighter green, not that dark type of green. But that dark green that you get with non-organic fertilizers burns the lawn when it gets really hot and water supply is tight. One suggestion - buy a separate weed killer/preventer, because this does not kill/prevent weeds. This is only a fertilizer. Overall, spend a bit more on the natural/organic version and invest in your lawn. You won't be disapointed with long term results of this product. This is my third year using it and it works like a charm.

We bought a foreclosure and the neglected lawn was in very bad shape. Weeds had taken over but l didn't want to start from scratch. I started a program of weed control, over seeding and routine fertilizing. I tried several fertilizer products before I found Scotts Natural. The safety of the product appealed to me. Scotts Natural Lawn Food works very well so now I buy no others. Its taken a couple of seasons of work, but We now have a healthy green lawn. The safer Natural fertilizer just works.

I think the lawn looks better than before application.

I have used a lot of lawn fertilizers over the years...this one seems to really do the job well (and is safer for my dogs). The yard of the house we purchased probably had not been fertilized in years and looked quite neglected. We tried this one because we have two dogs (they love to sniff it). It has really done a great job of thickening the grass, making it more green and just overall look much better....I am very pleased.

After a hot and very dry summer product really helped my lawn bounce back to life

Having tried almost every product out there for decades, Scotts Natural Lawn Food is THE only choice to produce a healthy, green lawn that just continues to look great. Having birds and a dog on the lawn constantly, Scotts Natural Lawn Food is a safe win-win situation. My lawn has never looked better, and I know this is the only product I'll use from now on to keep my lawn looking great. Thanks Scotts!

I used this seed in hard places to grow grass and it work great. I love Scotts.

Having two dogs I started to back off on the use of fertilizer . This led to a drop in the quality of the lawn even with the over seeding and some erosion occured due to the slope of certain areas of the yard. I started using Scott Natural Lawn food this year with the plan of feeding every 8 weeks to repair damage . The yard is greening up very well even with the lack of rain we had in the area this spring , the grass is coming in thick and lush with the combination of the lawn food and the over seeding . The product won't help with weeds but the lawn looks great and it's safe for the dogs which is what counts for me.

We purchased this product as we have four dogs and wanted to be sure they were not exposed to dangerous chemicals. The fertilizer really greens up the lawn and we know for a fact that it does not harm our dogs since they love to lick the leftovers. Just be sure to water it in well or your four legged friends may eat most of it!

I am glad to have a choice to cut polution to our planet for a good price. I use this every year. once in spring and once in mid fall and my lawn looks wonderful.
