nice concept BUT the screws holding the screen in were tighten too tight. Made an indentation in ALL 6 places on the frame. Then when I took screen out and lifted the door the wood frame came apart in 3 corners. The glue was there but did hold and the nailed shot into the wool only pultruded an 1/8 of an inch into the the other pieces of wood to hold together. I would not sell these. Imagine had I not taken the screen out and took the screen out years later the whole door would have just fallen apart. I would not use if it was free. Im glad the MFG told me to take back to HD since that is where i purchased. I installed an Anderson screen door I happy with.

4 pieces of wood and a screen.
I liked the look, but it is basically 4 pieces of wood quickly put together. The screen is very cheap and pretty loose in the frame. I bought the Kimberly Bay one at the same time and it was WAY better quality of wood and screen and was less expensive.

36 inch meadowwood screen door
The door I picked up was nothing like the one pictured. The wood was gouged, a tear in the screen a nail protruding. Just awful workmanship and wood for the amount of money charged. I did not accept delivery, nor would I recommend this door.

The carpenter we hired had a hard time installing the door because it was irregular. The door had to be cut in order look level with the existing doors. If we would have known the door was crooked, we would not have installed it but the contractor did it while we were at work. It is NOT the work of the contractor, the door itself was 1" out of square.

The door was poorly constructed I would have returned it that day, but it was packed very nicely so I could not see what poor craftsmanship there was.

I was replacing similar looking $60 door that warped in the sun and fell apart prematurely. Silly me, I though that spending $200 would get me 3 times the door, but alas I should have bought another $60 door. The mortises are amateurish at best. I can move the joint with my hand. One corner of the door has a crack in the lumber that should have never used but there it is, part of the mortise. As with other reviews, the door was not square and required "truing up". Bad door, bad value. To me, this falls into the category of "premium" - you pay 3+ times as much as the door that HD stocks but with no better quality. I wonder if HD actually has any quality screen doors - haven't seen any yet.

Build quality very cheap, was embarrassing to present to client with such poor quality, large slivers of wood missing on the door, for $200 I would expect better.

screen door ok for price
a few shortcuts were taken manufacturing this door- the joints were not all glued in, and the screen insert channel were sloppy, but for the money, and availability- worth the money.

assembly line
the door was in good shape, and worth the price. upon close inspection, some attention to detail was lacking.
I would buy again though.

Mediocre at best
I ordered 2 of these. One came out warped beyond use. I am ordering 2 more with the hope that one of them comes out straight. I will be returning the extras. I would look for another solution if I had more time on this project.

a total waste of time and a serious waste of money
we ordered two screentight doors from H D for our remodeling project o6en 30 meadow and a different model I was hoping that they would be decent serviceable doors...I was totally wrong the 30 inch meadow door came and was warpped and sprung out from top to bottom almost 3/4 of an inch ..no wheres near flat....I had to spend a lot of time and money to try to make what should be a flat piece of wood with a screen in it serviceable...I would never buy this again and urge you to not do so

Marginal Quality
Poor attention to detail - checks in wood, heavy raised grain in areas, separating joint at bottom, small rip in screen, routed-out area for screen frame was very rough, which made removal of the screen frame very difficult.

Unhappy
Poorly constructed had to install screws to reduce sagging torn screens. Would have returned bit needed screens for summer heat. Waited 26 days for shipping. Would not recommend.

Uneven corners and twisted
The quality of workmanship is poor. When gluing up the pieces, the corners were uneven requiring the carpenter to square up before hanging which resulted in a reduced height. Additionally, the door does not lay flat and it is slightly twisted.

Pretty but poorly manufactured
While this screen door makes a good first impression out of the box, it is poorly constructed with joints that appear to contain no wood glue so they are unable to support the weight of the door itself. Immediately after hanging it, I had to add a metal brace to the top corner closest to the side on which it is hinged because the weight of the door caused it to sag so that it is no longer square and created a gap at the top between the door and the door frame. If I had it to do over, I would have bought a metal framed screen door even though I don't like the appearance of those.

Simple unfinished wood screen door
The reviews on this product were accurate in my experience. The door arrived in need of another level of sanding prior to finishing and one of the four joints was broken. I spent some time repairing the joint in order to make the item work.
The door has a nice clean look but the quality of the product is not too good and it is relatively expensive. After my work to make the door functional I am satisfied with what I have.
