We bought this in an emergency situation after I accidentally sucked up a stray dryer sheet in our grandson's bedroom, which burned up the motor in our old one. We had exactly the same model, but an earlier edition. So, we have observed a few minor differences from the old, which we are still adjusting to. However, suction is excellent, noise is low, cleaning after use is easy. Overall, an excellent product. No complaints.

Have had Shark products for years, best one yet!

I bought this same vacuum (in blue) about 8 or 9 years ago and it's still going strong. I wanted a separate basement vacuum so I knew I had to buy the same one. Home Depot had the best price with free delivery to my house. I'm very happy with my purchase and love my vacuums!

I had a Shark vaccum that I used for 10 years! I loved it so much that I purchased another one. Still a great vaccum with great attachments and easy to use! I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable machine!

The vacuum has alot of suction and works well at picking up debris, with th exception of shag carpet. It has no way to adjust the sweeper head and it bogs down to the point of shuting off the sweeper. We are very disapointed at the lack of communication about the shortcoming on shag carpets, what a waste of our time! We returned it and bought a Bissell with an adjustable sweeper for $100 less. Suction isn’t ss good but it works for the Shag carpet!

Got this model Shark again since this replaces my old one. Confident that this one worked great and I was sure of the quality. But usual there are no guarantees !!! Noticed a piece of plastic was missing from the place where the hose is attached to the wand!!!! Apparently a reject !!!!

We have all hardwood floors with area rugs covering a lot of surface. The suction on the vacuum is so strong, even on the lowest setting, it was sucking up all the area rugs. I even called Customer Service and we had a video chat and she could see it was not going to work. I had to return it. If I had carpet it would’ve done just fine. And it was great on the hardwood.

The only reason that I only gave it a good rating was because of the number of LEDS. My old navigator had 10 LEDS and this only has 6 and is considerably less illuminating in dark areas.

The Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Upright Vacuum (NV 501) is an excellent vacuum. We did significant research, and received it very quickly. We are very impressed at the convenience and operation of the machine. It is very easy to use, light and workable. The dirt canister is easy to empty (I would still recommend that you empty it outside - there will always be at least a little dust). It is quiet compared to other machines. The front lights are great. We really like how easy it is to detach the wand and the canister. The ease of detaching makes this two or three great vacuums in one. Being able to turn off the brush is a big plus. It automatically turns off the brush when standing upright. There is also a button to turn off the brush. Excellent. Work is much easier and cleaner. We like the machine. One question I would have for Shark - why are there three attachments but two connectors for the attachments on the machine? It is really no big deal, just odd.

It does't pick up on tile floors

I had a shark vacuum before really liked it it last for five years so I decided to stick with the shark brand and so far very satisfied with this brand the only thing I wish it had, is a longer cord like my previous one did, but other than that great vacuum it has a lot of power, and worth money
