What Siemens offers that others do not is 2 usable circuit breakers. Typically when installing a surge protector you loose the 2 spaces it takes up in your circuit breaker panel. With this device you do not.

I bought this because of having to buy 3 dishwashers in 10 years. Panels fried. A friend said to do this. How can I write a review on something that I just installed. Ask me in 5 years.

Brand new unit and one of the leds does not light. Instructions say to replace unit if any leds dark. Wasted time to return and reorder. Wasted money on 2nd trip by my electrician.

Great piece of mind comes from putting a whole house surge protector in. This one is especially nice because you don't lose 2 spots in your panel because it is both a breaker and surge protection.

This Breaker was picked because it was a direct fit to my Siemens Breaker Panel. Easy to install and it takes up twp normal circuit breaker slots. Highly recommended if you have a Siemens Panel.

Perfect solution to having a recessed panel in a finished room. I will have to admit that I am an electrician, but it was an easy install. If you are not confident on what you are doing, please turn off the main breaker. Remove two 20 amp single breakers, snap in the surge protector, replace the wires from the old breakers and turn on.

This was the only home improvement project I can remember the took the time I estimated - about 10 minutes - start to finish. It could have taken less, but I had to relocate a breaker from one side of the panel to the other, in order to fit this. It should be noted that this is intended to be installed at the service entrance, where the ground and neutral are combined, not at a sub-panel. It is also best to plan on installing it on whatever side of the box the G/N buss is on, as the current dump wire to G/N should be as short and straight as possible. Will it work? Will it help? Who knows! But since my house is on a ridge at about 7,000 feet in the Rockies, where thunderstorms are usually experienced from the inside-out, it sure can't hurt. We'll see. But for the low cost and easy installation (if you have the box space) it's a must-buy.

The unit was defective. I tried it in two different electrical panels and only one of the protection lights would light so I have decided that it was DOA and will be returning it to my local store. It may still be working but since both lights are supposed to be one indicating protection, I can not trust it with only one showing on.

I looked at several whole house surge gaurds, and for the Siemens box I have, this was a perfect solution. Got hit with 2 lightning strikes last year, burnt out the lights and the furnace motor. Hopefully this will stop that from happening again.

Purchased Siemens circuit breaker/surge protector for my home and I love the features and ease of installation.

If you have ever replaced or added a breaker, then this is a no-brainier. If you haven't, just YouTube it and keep focus while you're working in your breaker box. This is easier to install than the units that need to be attached on the outside of the box and is so much easier to wire since it's one wire. The instructions for another unit I was considering (brand "L") were written for a master electrician and that helped me make up my mind to purchase the Siemens. Cons for this unit would be price (twice as much as other units) and the joules rating is 3 to 4 times lower than other units. I still have surge protecters on all my electronics and the Siemens just adds another layer of protection.

I had a customer who needed a supplemental SPD on a Siemens sub-panel. This product is perfect. Installs quickly (I'm a pro). HD had the best cost on this product (online or local). My only complaint about this product is that it does not have N-G protection. I would gladly pay more for this device with the added protection. Saves on labor cost, no additional wall mounting required.

easy to install. i used this to replace 2 single breakers. 1 microwave breaker and 1 garage breaker. i ordered this on a saturday and received it on wednesday .

Fit perfectly in my older Siemens panel from the 90's. This is a great solution because you don't have to give up breaker spaces. ((the "6.5 inch" in the description is gibberish))
