Installed the Square D Wise Energy Monitor, Which is actually the Sense, re branded. It uses the same app. I was able to grab this off home depots page on a one day sale. I really didn't need it but since it was on sale I grabbed one. Installing it was simple, again if you are not familiar with electricity have someone that is install it for you. It has been running for a few days and it is starting to recognize devices with in the house. As mention in other post, I wish it would allow you to add devices that you can identify as using power on/off. I did connect to my smart home devices that were being support by Square D/Sense. So for so good. It will be a while before it determines most things in the house. It great to see what is using power and how much.

They should be giving this product away. I have had it installed for four months and it has accurately figured out one appliance. It simply does not work. You can see your energy consumption in total, but it does not identify the source of the consumption with any degree of accuracy. I was skeptical when I installed it and its poor performance is evident every day. I'm a master electrician and I wouldn't sell this product to my worst enemy.

Excellent product!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy to have found this wiser energy !! My brother is an electrician and he helped me install it, he says it was easy! How did wiser energy help me in my economy? I had to download the sense application on my cell phone and connect to the device via Wi-Fi, super easy! Once connected I began to identify the different appliances that I have in my house, (washer, dryer, stove, ac, refrigerator, and others) and in that application it tells me the energy that each one is consuming and where I can start saving !! It tells me that devices are on, I can also turn off and on lights and see how much energy it consumes !! I can see my energy consumption away from home and if I mistakenly leave something on! so I am happy that I will be able to reduce my electricity bills thanks to this wonder, this month it helped me reduce my bill by 40%, I live in Arizona and in the months of July-September my electricity bills are very high so It's hot here, and the air conditioning does not stop turning on all day, the wiser energy will help me reduce my bills!

What an awesome product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very unique gadget! We can finally track which appliances we own uses so much electricity. Installing this is pretty easy. We did it ourselves and my husband guided me on how to connect the wires properly. But first, turn off all the main power source! Installing the app is a breeze. Once we have it installed, we created an account and paired it. It actually didn't take a very long time to recognize the appliances that we own. I think in 10 days, it identified a lot of the appliances already. The app is very easy to use. It will show you all the devices that you own and next to it is how much watts is being used. Under the "Now" tab, it will show you all the appliances or electronics that are currently running and you can see the status per electronics such as estimated cost/year, average cost per month, etc.. Now our home is has a lot of appliances, gadgets/electronics so our electricity is always high. Under "Trends" tab, you can compare your usage with other sense users in your state. Mine is scary high! So with this device, we can finally figure out which ones are eating up electricity and then we can start making changes. It will really save us money once it recognizes all of the appliances/devices we have running. Oh and I also want to add that my other favorite thing is that I can turn any of my smart devices using the app. There's so many other great features here but I cannot stress enough how much it will help us in the next few weeks save electricity and hopefully lower our electric bill. Best part is, my husband cannot blame it on me leaving the lights on all the time because thank goodness, sense said it barely uses electricity! We highly recommend this neat electric tracker!

Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, my husband is a commercial electrician. He installed our Sense unit. I watched him install, and it ony took about 15 minutes. Mainly because he had to drill through the metal panel into brick, lol. The install was easy and straight forward for him. When I mentioned to him we were getting one to test, he knew immediately what I was talking about, and was excited about it. First off, this monitors your energy usage throughout your home. It does not save you money, unless you adjust your usage becaise of what the unit shows you. It really is neat to see what energy your units use. For example, when our room air conditioner kicks on, I can see how much energy it's using. We have whole house air, but we like it cold in our bedroom. As the Sense app notices new items in home, you are given the opportunity to name each unit. I like being able to personalise it. The app is free to install. We are running it on our Note 10s without issue. Overall, it's been a well made unit. It runs smoothly, and lets us keep an eagle eye on our energy usage, which we like. I received this to test but all opinions are honest and my own.

This device is for patient people! I've had mine installed just over one month. With time devices are learned and identified. Mine has discovered six devices so far: refrigerator, refrigerator light, microwave, water heater, dryer igniter, and bathroom vanity light. Some commonly used things like a tv, oven, computers, garage door opener, and washing machine haven't been discovered. Any incandescent lighting has been discovered, but no energy saving bulbs have.
I would say Sense has not saved me any money. It has made me aware how much or little electricity devices use. I was surprised opening my refrigerator used 132 watts when the light turns on. It uses a 40 watt appliance bulb! I thought my desktop computer with 700 watt power supply and monitor would use much more than 170 watts! I also discovered my "always on" draw is 68 watts. Surprisingly low. On the surprisingly high side I discovered my refrigerator turns on EVERY HOUR for 35 minutes and uses at least 36% of my total electricity use.
I wish I had the option of installing solar panels as Sense would support them. Overall I have no regrets with my purchase.

Well unfortunately this would not work with my particular Breaker Box set-up. I think the normal breaker box has the necessary wires available for you to clip the amp draw probes but mine had a non-wire solution that prevents proper installation. I'll post a picture of what I'm talking about here. I think the idea and product is a great tool and idea to monitor your system and electric use but prior to install be sure it will work with you system.
