This is not like Calacatta Gold. What distinguishes real Calacatta Gold marble from other Calacatta marbles and even many other marbles in general is that it has both grey veining AND gold/beige-toned veining. This is only done with grey veining, which is pretty much just traditional Calacatta--or even similar to Carrara, since I find the background not as white as it could be.

Good sized sample. I'm putting this piece through a lot to determine if it's right for my countertop. So far, no scratches or scrapes. I've tried to stain it with avocado, mustard, catsup, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, pasta sauce and red wine. No stain yet, Looking good

Not suitable for kitchen area. Edges chip and in most cases repairs still show. cracks easily and cant be repaired. Ours is only 3 years old. and in bad shape. need to replace. their customer service both locally and headquarter in Fla is unresponsive and unaccommodating. Ask around, read reviews and know what a 25 year warranty exactly covers. their warranty is useless.

What can I say, it is a sample. It showed me what the quartz looks like.

I would like to have had a larger piece of the sample. A 2x4 inch piece is quite small if you are trying to visualize an entire counter.

The sample was really small, but sufficient enough for me to determine it was a match with my current quartz counters. I liked that it was actually tile - not just a cardboard print for color matching. I recommend trying to get a sample in-store as they offer those for free. Purchasing online was $10 - seems a little expensive for a tiny sample that would otherwise be free. Luckily I was able to return it when I was finished with it.

It is versatile because it looks good with several different shades of white cabinets.

I wanted to match my bathroom vanity and this piece does that. It came fast. Home Depot had it in stock, where others didn't.

I waited a decade to do my countertop because I have a huge counter. I chose Home Depot and quartz because of the quality. less than 6 months later I have 2 chips on the edges of counter and we have plastic silverware! I reached out to Silestone and they said while rare chips are not covered. I also used Home Depot for installation thinking they would be care about the work and product from end to end. Well the installers ruined my cabinets by separating the wall for 2 cabinets when installing countertop. I had to call home depot over a dozen times and the store manager said he would put in an insurance claim and no one has ever followed up with me. Do not waste your money. It is a nightmare and I wanted to love it so much as it was such a big decision.

I bought this because of sellers raving about how it’s better than granite. It’s “durable and strong like granite without being porous”, they said. I had this quartz installed over a year ago and wish I would’ve had granite installed. This quartz is beautiful don’t get me wrong but after spending thousands of dollars more than granite and reading up on do’s/dont’s, it’s basically like Formica in the sense you can’t put anything hot directly on it and you can’t chop on it because believe me it DOES scratch and easily. You should check out what is NOT covered under Silestone warranty. This calacatta gold again is beautiful but is so white (which is why I loved it) stains very easily especially with aluminum and natural foods with a lot of color. I’m meticulous in cleaning and maintaining my countertops. If I weren’t so diligent, there is no telling what it would look like. My dissatisfaction with this quartz boils down to being too much work when granite (which I’ve had before) is so much easier to maintain. I hope this helps! I know my review is wordy but I wish I would’ve done more research and had read reviews like mine before spending so much money on something so expensive.

The reviews pertaining to the sample are very unfair. If you don't want to pay $20 for the sample then don't but also do not give this beautiful quartz countertop a bad review. I almost did not purchase it based on the average being 3 or so stars. So unfair!

Came quickly and I was able to see more of the veining in the calalcatta gold in oder to make my final decision on the silestone counter tops. It also enabled me to put it with all my other colors for floor/cabinets/backsplash..etc to get my final color palette and textures. Thank you

Very nice. I’m collecting samples I like to aid me at the builder’s design center. Having the samples now aids me in seeing them in different lighting, etc to make sure I really like the color selection.

The quartz is beautiful, however....the installation company Home Depot goes through is awful. We are very dissatisfied with our counter tops, we ordered squared corners and were never told that this was something they were unable to do, even though it is offered as an option when u place your order. We’ve contacted both the store and the installation company to let them know we are not happy with our counter tops and neither are will to do anything to make it right. We spent thousands of dollars on something we are not happy with.

Sample is too small to compare it to the backsplash I wanted to purchase.

The sample I received had very little color/veining through it, compared to the sample I saw at the store. I have a hard time knowing if it is the one I really want, since I had so little of anything but white.

First of all, the sample is not 2x4. Just like lumber -- it's nominally 2"x4". The sample is large enough to get the gist of what a counter top will look like. Especially nice are the flex of mirror-like quartz. Gave it a 4 because of sample size. For the price -- the size should be 2x4".
