We have only been living in our home for about 8 months and this countertop is already chipped in multiple places. It’s just my husband and I (no kids, etc being rowdy and slamming things on them) you would think for the price this product would be durable but it most certainly isn’t I would not recommend

Nice to look at. For something that was sold to us as "indestructible except heat and very harsh chemicals" it sure doesn't perform. Drop scissors? Drop fork? Let anything sit for a while? Damage and stains. Not durable and the warranty is a joke. We thought ours must be defective...turns out, they just kinda suck.

Looks amazing, just enough to picure rhe whole countertop. Full piece is exactly as I imagined with the sampe.

This was installed in my kitchen in three pieces, and the seams do not look good. They collect dirt.

The sample was exactly what I needed to be able to choose the best countertop for my kitchen renovation.

Was glad that I received sample - just wish it had been larger. Did not get all of the colors of the silestone that I had selected. On the other hand, was able to determine that the background color was very different than what I had seen on the silestone website.

In the process of selecting a kitchen countertop, it was extremely helpful to be able to get samples that I could use in my kitchen itself, to see in my lighting and with my other colors in the kitchen. This sample was exactly what I needed.

It took a while before our countertop got installed. But it worked for us since we have need to repaint our cabinet by ourselves and it was just timing by the time it was ready to be installed. There were three seams but when they installed it, It looks like it was i one piece. It was very nice.Our installer was San Luis Marble and they really did a great job on it.The process was just ok.After we order the counter we just hve to wait for the template and then the install.I would recommend hd if you dont want the hassle of going to a fabricator and let hd do it for you. By the way we also did the demolition coz its expensive if they do it for you.We also did our plumbing.

The sample I received did not have any of the "gold" color I was interested in. Disappointing

Wrong color vein. I thought it would be gold because of the name.

Was able to find a comparable quartz product at very lower price

We had this in our bathroom. It looked upscale and very elegant. Used for one year prior to selling the apartment. No issues and there were children that also used the bathroom. I am considering it for the kitchen in our new home, which is undergoing renovation.

I have silestone on part of my kitchen counters, and I love it. I highly recommend using the bullnose edge, as it is very sturdy and resists chipping. I have NOT had a problem with any chipping, and Silestone is very durable.

Having Home Depot replace our countertops and backsplash and Ordered a sample to make sure the colors would go together we’ll.

It holds up very well. I would highly recommend doing a bullnose edge for strength and to avoid chips. Mine has held up great and is anti-microbial.. very sanitary.

This is not like Calacatta Gold. What distinguishes real Calacatta Gold marble from other Calacatta marbles and even many other marbles in general is that it has both grey veining AND gold/beige-toned veining. This is only done with grey veining, which is pretty much just traditional Calacatta--or even similar to Carrara, since I find the background not as white as it could be.
