Purchased online March 2021, installed April 2021. Recommend as a strong, rust-proof standoff base for posts. The Simpdon Strong-Tie appears to be just as presented and advertised. It supports the replacement corner post for our small 6'x6' elevated "porch"/entry cover/roof extension. Obtained to elevate the post above the terra cotta tiles over concrete of the porch base. it will not rust, and keeps the post from wood rot. Perhaps other than weathering hurricanes and exposure to our more intense than most UV-rich sunshine, the only reason for giving the product 4, not 5, stars, we expect the composite material to perform well for years if not decades.

It’s too early to say if it’s really going to stand up to the test of time and prove as durable as I’m hoping. But so far it’s meeting expectations and arrived as advertised. Really good delivery service from Home Depot

Raised up stron Woulod have liked drain hole on the bottom on all FOUR side - has 2 easily fixed.

We used these as a base for our cypress porch posts. Excellent quality and very durable!

I just wish that they where a stock item!

Product is excellent. Delivery driver left package at back door in the rain directly under a sign saying not to do so and directing driver to go to front door. Simple instructions on back door not followed and package left in rain.

Worked perfectly as intended, raised my treated post bases 1” off ground, reasonable price and look great. Longevity to be determined with time but I currently have no reason to question that they will outlast the posts they support in the Northwest climate.

I was going to cut them up and use them for standing 2x7 up against an exising post. To my disappointment they are not solid as I assmed from the picture. They are usless to me

Keeps the post off the pier 1" as required by code like the steel ones do. But unlike the steel standoffs, this one, once painted, is virtually invisible. Makes for a nice clean look!

Easy to use and sturdy. When I bricked in a planter area and found the column base had been set too low for the new patio level, I was able to jack up the beam overhead and remove the post to cut off the lower inch, thus maintaining the bolt hole alignment. This Standoff screwed right to the bottom of the newly treated post and all was replaced with nice clearance above patio level.
