With strong tie screws worked just as described.

These were used to attach an extension post to an existing mailbox post that had broken. Put one on each side and used the recommended galvanized nails For each plate…better than new and was easily paintable…nails worked better than screws.

The plate worked great attaching the 2x4 wood pieces together in my heavy-duty 4ft high fence building project.

Very handy plate for tying/mending pieces of wood together. I used these during a fence installation where some of my posts were off due to very large tree roots. I basically sistered 2x4s to the fence stringers to so I could secure the fence panels to a post that was about 6" too far away. The fence has panels on both sides, so the plate and unsightly work was hidden. The plate is a relatively thin 20 gauge but together with a 6 inch lag bolt, it was a solid mending of the two wood pieces. The plate has 32 staggered holes, I used 16 with Simpson Strong Tie #9 screws. You can also use 8d nails. The plate and screws are galvanized so they will outlive the fence itself.

This worked very well for my project.

Simple Simpson, I used this plate to fix a broken chair member on the underside, so it is not visible. I likely did not need to use the screws in it. I could have just used the Gorilla glue. I am confident the plate will simply hold a couple hundred pounds of stress. These plates are a staple in my shop for many things.

Nailed it to tie wood pieces together

I didn’t end up using them decided to do the project a different way, but the straps were very high quality.

It’s a metal rectangle with holes. Not sure why it needs a review but hey, here it is. If you need a metal rectangle with holes, this might just do the trick.

they worked great and price is nice

Easy to install and is holding well so far. Only drawback is how small the holes are and had to press the metal hard with screws to install flush.
