[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am usually skeptical about the effectiveness of many residential-grade weed killers. Usually it requires 2-3 applications just to get a decent performance. After trying this weed killer, I will say it’s better than products I’ve tried in the past, but it definitely didn’t kill everything the first go around. A subsequent application does finish the job though. Again, not the best, but pretty good for a hose-end application product.

Knocks out creeping ground ivy. Kills Virginia button weed. The violets curl up so nicely..... I have only spot and small area sprayed so far. Even in the hot mid-south temps the fescue holds up if you don't soak the area what you are spraying. Always add some surfactant with the mix to make sure what you spray get into the weed. Here is a picture from a small area that was sprayed yesterday.

Total disappointment. I spent a lot of time and money since purchasing my home to bring my lawn back from thin patches of grass and weeds. I applied the spectracide over some clover and a other weeds and the result was a completely decimated lawn. I mixed according to instructions and a few days later the grass turned brown and completely died. If I did something wrong, I have no idea what it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easy to use. You just hook the bottle to the hose, pull the red tab, turn the hose on, and flip the switch on the sprayer. This killed the weeds in the lawn within days and we’re completely gone in 3 weeks. You don’t need to be really accurate with the sprayer because it’s not going to kill the grass. I would spray flowers or anything but you don’t have to be super precise. This is a good product.

It is so easy to apply to my lawn, thanks to the Hose-End Sprayer! Nothing could be easier, just attach my hose and we're off! I saw results the next day, with some wilting of dandelions, and after a few days the clover that wanted to take over my yard was turning yellow. Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns + Crabgrass Killer is a winner in my book, highly recommended!

We hooked it up to the hose and just started to spray the lawn and within 5 hours weeds were dying. I would definitely buy more Spectracide products and tell others how well it works

I used the Spectracide Weed stop for Lawns+ Crabgrass killer and although skeptical I have seen good results. The weeds appear to be retreating and the grass coming through strong. Always read and adhere to the safety warnings and cautions when applying and good results should follow.

I feel that with this product it saves me time and aggravation. The nozzle lock is a great feature. Every other product has a narrow spray, where this product has a nice spread.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns + Crabgrass Killer Concentrate is an excellent addition to my lawn care arsenal. I love how easy it is to connect to the water hose, move the lever and spray. The results are quick and kills weeds with no issues. It's nice because it doesn't damage my lawn and I feel comfortable using it around my trees, flowers, and shrubs. The bottle covered my entire lawn which is on the medium size compared to other neighbors and I still had a little bit leftover. The only hard part was waiting for a dry day recently as we had storms moving in through the area. It does require 24hrs of no irrigation so be advised. The crabgrass adder is a bonus as majority of my lawn was hijacked by crab grass. I'm glad to win the weeds battle at least for this season for now. Excellent product plan to buy more as weeds grow.

The bottle is easy to attach to the hose and is a generous size. The release button is so much easier now that it is a sliding lever. One bottle covers my entire yard and kills weeds plus it keeps them away for months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for my honest opinion. The Spectracide weed stop for lawns is a game changer. You can rid of crabgrass and Yellow Nutsedge. You will definitely see those pesky weeds dying off, gasping for air after a few hours of application. After about a week or so you will notice how gorgeous your lawn is looking. Definitely a great addition to the lawn care regime.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were excited to try this product to kill crabgrass, but not our Bermuda lawn. The product can cause some yellowing of the bermuda when used, but the grass has recovered nicely. The directions say not to use on Bermuda when temperatures are over 90°. Other reviews reported having difficulties with a nozzle, but we did not experience any difficulties at all. I would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our lawn is a mixture of grass and non-grass. We were looking for an easy to use and effective way of reducing the non-grass growth. This product was the perfect solution since it easily attaches to the hose and is easy to use. Being cautious we tried it on a small area of the lawn first. We were pleased with the results and after 24 hours did the rest of the lawn. Recommended.

I'm read the instruction.om apply in the lawn and that product kill 90% of st agustine .burn and dry that product is so bad the label says kill the root no the lawn .and the final kill all lawn my lawn is very green before used that and now wow I'm upset

Do not buy this product if you are looking to kill crab grass. I used on bermude grass and didnt get away with crabgrass. At first, it burnt the crabgrass by changing colors to red, yellow and eventually brown. But after few days crabgrass grew in all the areas I spot treated. It was a waste of money and more important time, spent hours doing it

This is a pretty good product but it does have one shortcoming... On some types of weeds like spurge and clover it doesn't spread out on the leaves, it just kind of beads up. As a result it doesn't completely kill the plant and it has to be sprayed several times. I've discovered that by adding a sticker/spreader or even a few drops of dish soap to the mixture the effectiveness is improved a great deal.

After three applications there does not seem to be any improvement in 90% of the weed types in my yard.

It kills the GRASS and weeds even when used at the lowest dosage. Look at the pictures as I was just trying to kill some clover and dollar weed but it kills the grass also. Not good at all on Florida Grasses.

Not sure why people are having issues with this product. I may not be following the instructions completely but here is what I did... - 2 Gallon Sprayer. - 2 Orange cap fulls (this is probably OVER KILL...) - DAWN DISH DETERGENT... - And fill with water... (Water is better filled prior to putting dawn in... Otherwise it will get foamy real quick...) Within 8 hours I DID see a change. Day 2 clear signs of death... Now here is another problem. It says to not use in temperatures where the day gets up to 85-90... Well to combat this I did it in the evening when the temperature was below 80 and in the low 70's. I have bermuda grass and so far do not see any death or yellowing of my grass. Just the CRAB GRASS... Not sure if the DAWN or if the Weed Stop did this, but something else I noticed was that the areas I sprayed I could easily tell by a different coloration. Almost wet, but not "dewy." This helped in making sure I got the crabs! Attempting another product in my front yard to see if its as good, but likely will have to come back with this method on top again. Going to give both a full 7 days before completely deciding. Picture is day 2... Crab Grass is a nasty bugger and super hardy. So for it to show this level of "weakness" my mortal enemy will be dead soon. Next year I will make sure to do a pre-emergent.

Works well, I mix a little stronger than recommended. Does take about a week or more to see good results.

It does eventually kill off different weeds growing in the grass but my weeds need 3-4 passes and a few days apart. Its a 3-4 week slow kill.

This stuff should be tried for murder! Because it murders weeds dead! I love this stuff! Just apply it twice each spring and summer about March and July and bye bye weeds! I would not recommend if you have pets, however, if you spray it down and let it dry and keep your pets off the lawn until it rains, once the rain flushes it all down into the ground for a good long day of rain when the water dry it safe for your pets to walk around one in mind as I had dogs and never had an issue. I buy the concentrate and pore it into the sprayer to save myself money! Works great and not too expensive. I highly recommend once using it you change your clothes and take a shower afterwards because it is in fact poison. I wear rubber gloves and I rinse the bottom of my tennis shoes. But they are old tennis shoes that I use and I normally don’t use them in the house.
