Easy to install and no door modifications were needed.

Unable to close my door. I tried it on all my exterior doors but still don't fit. You need a wide gap on your door to be able to put it. I wasted my money on this product

If you don't have a iron screen door. Then the Strike Master is a must. Keep you love ones safe. Buy it , easy install, done .

Easy to install. Many break-ins with just kicking in front door. Gives some peace of mind but don't know if it works unless someone tries to break in...which I don't want!

Broken door jam. This kit easy to install. Looks and works great. You would never know the jam was kicked in. Highly recommend!

I had my contractor install the Strike Master II. It fit the frame perfectly, he said it went in easily. I had it in for a week. Hope I never have to use the security, however, I sleep better knowing it's there.

Looked like a good thing to have but unfortunately, there was insufficient clearance between my door and the frame to install this. Would have liked to use it but had to return it.

I haven't had an attempted break in so I can't say whether or not it works. But the door is definitely more secure. You can feel it in how it opens and closes. Looking at the flimsy plate that was there before, versus this one I can say I feel a lot safer with this one.

It took my handyman about 1 hour 15 minutes to install both of them. He watched the video and shared that it was very helpful.

I did not like the product, since the cutouts on the metal plate did not match my frame. As you can imagine, it is hard to make cut outs by the customers. I returned the product. Probably Home Depot lost money, and I lost money (hired a contractor to do the job) and time. The vendor should have specified the exact dimensions of the cutouts and distance between the cutouts.

I recommend this on all your outside doors, or any door that you don't want kicked in. Period. It's almost as if doors and door frames were made to be kicked in...and in this day and age, that's a huge oversight. Number one way burglers/robbers/home invaders get into homes is kicking in an outside door (front or back door usually). This will slow them up, or make it so hard for them to get in that they'll probably give up and go after an easier house. Just make sure YOUR house is NOT that easier house to kick a door in. A few weeks ago our back door was kicked in...we have a metal door. We weren't at home during the break in but our alarm went off, and they took off without stealing anything. Chaulk one up for a good alarm. But they tore up the door frame. The door was fine..some small damage, but basically fine. We have since reinforced both the front and rear door frames with this kit. Seriously, go order 1, 2, or 3 right now. You can't afford not too.

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my girlfriend. It fit my door, which was professionally installed, perfectly and it only took a few minutes to install. You definitely want to predrill the holes as recommended. The nutjobs on youtube who say you do not need to predrill if you have a hammer drill are missing the point of predrilling. You predrill to keep the wood inside the casing from splitting and you will get a more secure and stronger installation. My girlfriend's door was installed by a handyman and the space between the door and existing strikeplate was too narrow and I was not able to use the StrikeMaster II. I took it back to Home Depot and returned it, took me all of 5 minutes to return the online order.

although I hired a professional to install, it was much more difficult then I expected, took him much longer then he estimated and it is much harder to get the door closed and locked. I bought the product for the security it promised and I would recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of security . the opening for the dead bolt in the part that attaches to the door was to small for my keypad dead bolt lock and interfered with smooth operation

Excellent low cost perimeter security measures with very low profile .No ugly bars or obvious deterrent. Simple to install and provides immediate effective results.

2nd one went in a lot easier than the 1st, but both doors lock up solid. They seam to have strengthened the doors substantially..............

After watching the video on you tube it was very simple.
