The mat was very easy to lay out with the double sided tape which came installed on the mat. I also used a hot glue gun as an added precaution to insure the mat was secure. I installed the thermostat and everything worked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this product.

Worked great make sure you have Sun touch do a heat mat floor layout for you. You can provide them with a hand sketched accurate dimension drawing and they will provide a professional accurate layout of how to assemble the heat mats.

Installed per instructions very straight forward easy install. Unit works as advertised great project

Heats very well, but needs better products to find faults and shorts.

The heating system stopped working after about 2 years. I contacted the company and they wanted me to rent a piece of equipment from them for $100 and a $3000 security deposit to see where the issue was in the heating mat (also a licensed electrician is required to run the equipment according to the supplier). If I was able to find where the issue was they wanted me to remove the tile in the affected area, cut the mat out and send it to them to see if the mat was defective and covered under warranty. Obviously, all the time and money involved in doing this isn’t worth whatever I would get back from SunTouch if it was defective and covered under warranty. Also, it would be likely that the mat would be destroyed during removal, so it likely wouldn’t be covered under warranty, so I guess SunTouch wins. Save yourself the trouble and install a baseboard heating system instead.

Installation was easier than I ever thought it would be. Turned it on to test and the floor warmed up quickly. Can't wait for winter when we really need it.

Simple to lay out, but had to hot glue under two center rows to help prevent it from from floating up through floor leveler.

PLEASE read before you buy. Bought 11/2017...14 by 30 Mat installed Tested 3 times with meter as we went , All accurate readings. Bottom line is make sure you install thermostat and TEST heat up! BEFORE you set mortar or floor. Was told by customer service some mats have this defect in connection of wires... Installed tile floor and after Thermostat turned on kept getting GFCI error, call Tech Support at Sun touch . Ordered tool call the fluke90 to test where disconnect was in Mat. Paid 100$ total to get quicker. The tool was useless kept giving a reading of 337 feet! of where the break was. our mat is only 14' long. took several calls to get 'qualified'' Tech on phone who stated there was another tool we could try Which worked! THANK GOD

We've used this product before in a bathroom. It's easy to install, and we were able to cut it apart to re-shape how it was applied. It warms the floor nicely and has been operating well for the last 2+ years. The biggest challenge was that the sensor and the connection between the mat and the wire to the thermostat are a bit big, and therefore a little difficult to hide between the tiles. We put the connection under the baseboard. The current installation will be on a concrete basement floor, so I'm considering ways to keep the heat from warming the concrete instead of the tile! Current thought is to use the thin metallic-covered insulation used in HVAC applications. Or the new plastic grid underlayment.

home depot would save themselves a lot of inventory warehousing if you made your mats in a fashion that long lengths could be cut to length and a thermostat wire could be attached to heat wires. I was told by home depot chat line that I could cut to length that is not entirely true. you have to cut mat partially and fold over and continue in opposite direction. Now I have to return this 32 ft mat when I find time !

The warming were easy to lay down. The tiles were installed over them without a problem.

I wasn’t impressed with this product as it wasn’t the most efficient floor heating product not very durable. After installation I had one part of the wires get damaged and the entire system stopped working. I had to remove my entire finished floor to get this system out. Luckily I was able to find a way better solution in then TruHeat system which was much easier to install, much more durable and the best thing of it all was that it consumes half the power!

Decent product - does as described. The instructions are a little daunting but actually easier to install than expected. Just remember you need thermostat ( sun touch) to go with it to make it work

Product works great and is fairly easy to install but keep all sharp objects away as it is delicate and your can cut a wire easily. It takes 20 minutes or so to heat up but it feels great once it is. The only down side is when power goes out it defaults to on even if you had it shut off so when installing for a vacation house beware. IfI install it again.
