[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Summary: This is a a big, solid, and fairly good-looking storage box, with build quality that is rough around the edges, and a sometimes-frustrating assembly experience. At 134 gallons, this thing is huge. It is well-suited to storing a variety of yard items, from furniture and cushions, to towels, to gardening tools, and more. It looks decent. The single hue design leaves something to be desired, but the woven wood effect pattern makes it look probably as good as it can look for a big plastic box. The assembly process was a little annoying due to small inconsistencies in the instructions, and slightly shoddy build quality. For example, there are several holes that the instructions indicate should be pre-drilled, but aren’t. It’s not always super clear which specific piece should be used at each step, nor how to orient it, but presents no problems that are insurmountable. Once it is assembled, it feels quite sturdy. It can be carried by one person with straps or long enough arms, but I would recommend getting someone to help. Moving it solo can get tricky, especially in tight spaces. tl;dr: Assembly and quality aren’t perfect, but it’s a good storage option despite this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this deck box! It hasn’t shown any signs of wear. Just the other day a tornado passed through, I’m in Kentucky, and it was fine! It holds all of our cushions for when it’s windy and was relatively easy to put together.

Lots of screws and hard to get the screws into the plastic. I still need help putting the lid on, but overall great product! This will be great to store outdoor items/gardening materials. The box also says you can use as a bench for extra seating - win win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 134 gallon extra large deck box is extremely easy to put together and very well-made. I love that it's all Weather construction provides water resistance, and UV protection. It's perfect to store pool equipment or toys. It's able to be padlocked and the lid is easy to operate because of the spring assisted mechanism. It's also very easy to keep clean. I would highly recommend this deck box to my family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was super easy to assemble! I did it by myself while being 7 months pregnant. I did have my 4 year old kinda help. I only needed a screwdriver. This seems very strong and i think it will last for a very long time. It is very heavy duty and very nice looking! I am so inlove and it will fit so much stuff inside. It also has very smooth shocks that are so nice! It even has a spot for a lock. Highly suggest getting one for any outdoor stuff. Thank you for reading my review! Please like & follow!♡

I have four of these deck boxes as well as two small ones. These are perfect for holding all of my outdoor pillows and seating cushions to all outdoor furniture. I am very pleased! Thank you

While the plastic/resin parts of this box have held up, it is another story with the metal parts. They rust fast. This fell apart within 2 years. For something that is meant to be in the weather, that is unacceptable. I personally will stay away from SunCast. The warranty does not cover rust. I wonder why.

The lid doesn’t line up to close top with latch put in place. Also putting a square object the latch into a round hole on front doesn’t work well. The hinges are made of plastic now compared to metal previously. Quality definitely has gone down.

Works well for keeping the clutter of small pool toys, etc. off the patio and looks good. Directions and assembly were a bit tricky but with a bit of patience was able to figure it out.

This deck box has lasted less than two years in the Arizona sun and heat before one of the hinges has completely collapsed (see photos). Contacted Suncast under warranty to be told this is NOT a manufacturing defect! They DO NOT stand by their warranties. Will never buy another Suncast product again and I suggest you don't either!

Was a great deck box for 2 years before the pistons rusted & broke. Suncast was responsive to my warranty claim but instead of sending replacement parts, they sent me a $97 check (prorated value)…which will not get me a new deck box. They don’t make the parts for this item anymore so your 10-yr warranty is worthless. I wouldn’t by Suncast again. Only problem is other brands only come with 2-year warranty.

This box fits my needs and looks great on our patio. The instructions were a little confusing as there are two version of build but nonetheless got it accomplished. Very happy with the purchase!

Worked great for ~2 years, then all of a sudden the inside hinges rusted and broke off. I gave it a star for each year it lasted

A little pricey but well worth if to keep storage dry

Purchased at Home Depot, Followed the instructions perfectly, Then we finished and the stupid thing does not close, it’s about a quarter of inch off, so frustrating now I’m stuck with a box that does not close. There are several other reviews like mine they need to recall this product or figure out what is wrong.

Side-panel plastic molding was not molded correctly. The instructions for assembling shocks/lid springs are poorly written. There is a nice youtube vid to help if you find it. Frustrating spending 2 hours putting together only to find the side-panel plastic molding defective. Lid doesn't shut correctly either.

I bought the same box in 2021 and was surprised that the shocks for the lid are really cheap compared to the ones in the past. And the lid stiffener angle used to be a painted part and now it is unpainted steel. I probably would not have bought this box again if I knew these things beforhand

The latch does not come close to fitting into front panel to lock. The front panel does not look like pictures, the panel is not correct or it needs a different latch. I am waiting to hear back from Suncast

This box was incredibly difficult to assemble. It’s urgent you determine if you have parts box A or parts box B-they are not marked definitively. Pics & instructions are challenging. If you don’t have common sense & minimal engineering skills, don’t buy

Suncast deck boxes won’t even last you a year. They refuse to honor their warranty and claim the warping of their product is due to extreme heat. Apparently Maryland is an extreme heat climate.

Great product. Took awhile to put together. Two screws missing for the top. Called Suncast CS. And they sent it to me.

Bought this to place our deck furniture cushions in, which were too large to fit in our existing 99-gal Suncast deck box. Assembly was straightforward for two people, and took about 30 minutes. One notable thing is that most of the screw holes are NOT pre-drilled, which can lead to mistakes in placement if you're not careful. The self-tapping screws can be driven manually, but it's a bit easier with an electric screwdriver, although some spaces are too tight for it. The lid comes with two pneumatic pistons that pop it open and hold it open nicely. On the other hand, closure relies, in part, on a metal tab in the lid (for a padlock) squeezing into a plastic hole on the top of the box, which can obviously wear out over time. However, the main reason I gave this 4 stars was that some water gets inside the box from rain - I'm not sure where, as the lid overhangs the top edge of the box and there is a small lip almost all the way around - the water may be getting drawn in by capillary action. Regardless, this should not happen for a product designed to live outside. This is in contrast to our other 99-gal Suncast box (DBW9200) that has an older design and seems to have a higher lip around the top edge of the box - it keeps completely dry.

I’m really disappointed in the quality of this deck box. The box cannot be latched because it is completely misaligned. Do recommend. The material is also low quality.

put it together about an hour. my 4th Suncast outdoor storage.I got the large to fit as many outdoor cushions as possible. this bench like storage fits the following:4 bolster pillows4 18x18 decorative pillows5 - 20x20 seat cushions1 5ft long swing cushion3 triple attached couch cushions room to spare for 1 to 2 knitted afghans and a few more smaller items it tightly closes to keep little mice out.it's just high enough that if you had the cushions already pulled out in use, you could use the top lid to lay out extra snacks or whatever for parties if you needed extra room.looking forward to using it daily this Summer.

I bought this deck box not knowing what the end results would be after some reviews here. I assembled it yesterday. 1. It is a solid, durable container and fits 5 sets of thick chair cushions easily. 2. The hinges are superb! Love the ease of raising the top. 3. As with anything outside, I can see it is weather RESISTANT, not weather proof, as described. I will be using clear caulk today around the inside bottom joints and corners to make it somewhat weather proof. But it is outside. Note, everything fits well together and the lid should prevent water from entering as it does overlap. 4. Assembling takes time but I was able to do it alone. Easier with 2 people. Use a rubber mallet as requested and watch your corners. Use the mallet gently and repeatedly until you get it all together! 5. For the price and size, its a great value for your dollar. 6. So far, I am satisfied, and anticipate I will be for years to come!
