I was getting rid of a fiberglass tub unit and thought I was up grading. The base for the unit reminded me of the shower we have at deer camp in a mobile home. I could have purchased a four piece fiberglass unit, for about one third of the price. and still would have had a better looking end product. I could not recommend to anyone.

I do not have a shower coming from the wall, therefore nothing from which to hang a caddy. This was great. Looks nice and is at right angles, no curves. Great for the purpose I purchased.

This is a nice product. However, the install was a little more difficult as the entire trap had to be removed and replaced. Tubs have a flange and overflow assembly on the drain which will have to be removed. This should be spelled out better in the description which makes it sound like if you remove the tub you can simply drop the shower pan right in. I am not a plumber, but with the help of the sales assistant in Home Depot, I was able to complete the installation without too much trouble.

We ordered the shower pan. Delivery was slower than estimated but it arrived fine. Swanstone instructions stated to use the stainless brackets included to hold pan in place. Only there were no brackets in the box. In retro fitting, had to re-plumb drain from 1-1/2" to 2" to fit.

This is my 2nd shower base by Swanstone. I have been very pleased with the 1st which has been in use for 5 years. This one dropped right in place of a bathtub. The drain placement simplifies installation.
