Basic HARDWIRED system does what I need. Has to be close to router for Ethernet cables for WIFI & close enough to be connected to the TV HDMI. Sharp pictures, Customer Service wait time averages 1 hour before you can speak to someone.

Our sons bike got stolen 2 days after the system...
Our sons bike got stolen 2 days after the system was installed. Cameras didn't record a thing. Finally was able to figure out how to get notifications on my phone and it dings when the clouds move or wind blows, but doesn't record. Will be returning.

PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. You may need to experiment with the sensitivity settings in the app and camera placement to get the proper setting for detection.

back to the store it goes
cameras work, dvr seems to work, link to a phone does not. I tried two different phones (iphone and android) and neither can connect to the system. The first tech person told me to call someone else and hung up. The second sent me a link and said to figure it out on my own. Too bad I can only get my money back, not the wasted day I spent messing with this junk.

Easy to set up. The camera view quality is great. I have been looking for a camera system to update my original 8 camera system by a different brand. When I found this when I thought thought the price was very good For the amount of cameras that you get.

Easy to install.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The physical installation went well as did the connecting to the network. Working on how to get the system to function wasn't as easy which surprised me. The picture quality is not too bad. Would probably purchase again.

Must have security system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has been wanting a new security system for our home for some times. We are really please with this system. Installation and setup was unbelievably easy. The hardest part will be your choice of camera placement.
While at the moment we are just using the 4 cameras the system came with, we plan to purchase 4 more to expand to the full 8 this system is capable of running. The picture quality day and night is just phenomenal. This images are so crisp and clear. My husband is a huge fan of the True Detect feature as well. This system does not disappoint.
A perfect purchase for your own peace of mind, this would also make an amazing house warming gift! The gift of security is one you can't beat. A true must have in any home.

Excellent System!

I am able to access the cameras from my phone at any given time. The clarity of these cameras is amazing and the night vision is very clear.

Great security
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Swann 4 camera DVR system is great.
I feel way more secure now that we have some security cameras.
There are 4 cameras with 60ft of cord per camera...
make sure that you read all of the instructions included in the box before you start using your cameras. You can set up your cameras anywhere you want as long as it will reach 60 ft back to the DVR. Make sure you set your DVR up before trying to pair your devices because that will need to be done first. This DVR and camera set is great for anyone looking for extra security.
The quality of the video is fantastic and it records everything on the DVR so it is great to be able to rewind and look at anything.
