Strange difference in light bulb quality. These are conventional incandescent and not LED. The light color is warm white which is great for rooms where you want to relax, the warm white color seems to make a difference before bedtime, where blue or bright white seems to perk people up. For a plastic wrapped two pack, these bulbs have very obvious differences in quality. One has very little frosting on the bulbs interior but they both have the same wattage ratings 30/75/100. The socket end of the bulbs, have relatively poor solder joints for the filament(s) attachment to the socket base (see photos). But the light output is the same which is the most important factor. These bulbs have a slightly lesser watt rating than others I have used in the past, 30/75/100 instead of 50/100/150. This will save some money over the bulbs lifetime (see photo of package cover). Overall these are great for areas where a more economical 3-way bulb is needed.

This is a SYLVANIA brand Value 2 pack of indoor incandescent 3 way (30/70/100 watt) light bulbs. They are a soft white color temp. and are rated at 1200 hours per bulb and also come with a bulb replacement guarantee with a proof of purchase seal submitted. The 30 watt setting produces a soft low light for security or a subdued mood while the 70 watt setting is a good general room lighting setting and the 100 watt setting is bright and good for reading, sewing, and other close detail type activities. With the 3 power settings you can save energy and money by only using the amount of light you want or need. We like the SYLVANIA brand quality and these bulbs should provide us with good service. We recommend this Value 2 pack as a good value at less than $4 (less than $2 per 3 way bulb).

These bulbs work great in touch lamps or switched 3 way lamps. They're a soft white hue for a nice relaxing glow. The packaging isn't the sturdiest, but both bulbs worked just fine and didn't show any damage, although the bases looked to be manufactured a bit sloppily. I haven't had the chance to test these bulbs for longevity yet, but so far so good.

The three way incandescent bulbs work great, They are hard to find, thankfully Home Depot still stocks them.
