Easy to put together and install.

Not assembling until spring. I had one for years that was destroyed by a storm. This is a replacement. They work well

Easily set-up, install & operate. The kids are responsible for managing it and they relish (mostly) this project. This composter is a very effective tool in reducing home waste.

This is our second Earth Machine composter. I probably could have repaired the bin cover on the old one, but it was easier to buy one new. Easy to fill, easy to stir, easy to empty. Leaves compost better if they are shredded, but that is not absolutely necessary.

Easy to assemble. Actually my 13 year old daughter put it together for me. The "screw" in stakes that hold it to the ground were flexible and not as ridged as I would have liked. The plastic is just thick enough to do the job. It's bigger than I thought. I really like the look and I think it will do a good job. There are no metal parts to rust out which was my problem with the tumble type composter I had before.

Recommended with reservations. I think the Earth Machine is a great size for my husband and I, and the concept is good. The downside is the composition of the pieces. The top section doesn't stay together well. My husband cannot take off the top without pulling off the top piece.

Easy to assemble and setup. Heavy plastic. This is my second one, the first one eventually cracked at the top but that was after about 10 years. Only down side - it is difficult to keep the contents stirred. It works well for me so I would recommend it.

I like the large top opening compared to composters with smaller or side openings.

This has been a terrific composter so far! It is no frills but solidly built. The top comes off easy but with a quick turn locks in place. We have done a poor job of putting "brown" in (mostly food scraps and lawn clippings) but there is enough air flow to help it break down quick.

I can't believe that what is basically a big bucket made out of very cheap, flimsy plastic is going for a hundred bucks. I can't believe I bought it. I should've done more research and not relied on the reviews. I wonder how many people reviewing this item positively have actually used other composters. There is no turning mechanism. It really is just a big bucket with a lid and a door.

Set up was easy now we let nature take it course.

Very easy to set up and although we haven't had it long it does exactly what it supposed to do.

It will hold a lot. I am just now filling it with the appropriate “stuff” so we shall see…….The unit itself is sturdy with a large compartment. It has vents that are optional to close or leave open. If I fail at great compost…..it will be user error :)

Terrible design. Not contained at bottom - you have to put it on top of lawn which I do not have. Not sturdy at all, would blow over or come apart in heavy wind or rain. No bottom - dirt just empties out the bottom. Will attract rats in my opinion and likely to have compost all over your yard.

The bin is large enough and easy to use.

Sturdy. Easy to put together. Large enough to get a good amount of material in. Screw-top lid has deterred racoons thus far. Very good for our rural installation.
