The flooring is great but there is too much waste. Each box has end pieces that you don't need if you're doing a bigger area. Maybe the manufacturer could think of another box with just the interlocking main tiles. Product is easy to cut too.

These are very nice rubber tiles for many purposes. The intention is to use them for a workout space like a weight bench area. I chose to use them to make a pet area more friendly to them. I was hoping to create 2 distinct areas from the kit, but it only comes with enough edging for one configuration. There are accessory kits available for more finished edging, but that will have to wait. The photos show from the delivered box thru to the 38-inch square, finished tile area. These are very sturdy tiles, and the method of interlocking edging will keep the puzzle pieces from accidental disassembly.

Straight out of the box these are heavy and well made. The odor of rubber was a little strong but has lessened after 24 hours laying out. The box contained 6 full size tiles, 4 corners and 6 edge pieces. These went together easily using a rubber malet. These are well made and make a nice size mat when assembled. The colors are very nice and the mat is comfortable to walk on. It has a nice cushioning and has some flex to it. I plan on using this in front of my workbench to provide cushion while standing and a sturdy footing.

These weight room tiles are very simple to put together. I am using them in my basement under my bench press and curling station. These tiles eliminate the stress on your feet by providing cushion and added grip while exercising. Way better than standing on a cold unfinished concrete floor! Material appears very durable and easy to clean. A must add to any home exercise room or commercial gym.

The black TRAFFICMASTER rubber weight room tiles arrived two days ago and I was able to assemble them in my basement where I have my workout equipment. The blue fleck 18" x 18" x 0.3" thick tiles had a very strong odor when I first received them, but the recycled rubber smell dissipated within a few days. I began to assemble the configuration I need for my equipment and soon noted that there is a easy method to snapping the tiles together. Because the tiles are rubber and flexible, they stretch a little and this manipulation allowed the pieces to easily interlock and lie very flat. The whole layout and assembly process took a little longer than I had anticipated, but it was by no means difficult. The underside of the tile seem to grip the floor in my basement and the top surface is rippled slightly to prevent my exercise equipment from moving around while in use. The single box of tiles comes with 14.32 SQ. FT. that amounts to 6 tiles (18" square ), 4 corner tiles ("L" shaped) and 6 straight edge pieces. I need to purchase another box of tiles because my layout required another four straight pieces to complete. The package has complete layout and trimming instructions if needed. With the 5 year warranty, the tiles appear to be very durable and for the price should last a long time. I would recommend the TRAFFICMASTER tiles to my friends who have exercise equipment. The Tiles are easy to clean and I believe that there are many more applications than just exercise equipment that they could be used for, due to the fact that they are rated for "indoor or outdoor". I probably will be purchasing more in the near future.

I put the Traffic Master rubber tiles in my garage to make a nice rubberized floor for my exercise equipment. The blue flecks make it stand out. The cushioning is great for my feet rather than a concrete floor. It stands up well for free weights and to keep noise at bay. Very easy to put together and it is sturdy and thick. Great for home gyms, garages, and workshops.

Very easy way to protect floor. Went together easily just using my hands, and some patience. The package includes the edges and corners for the shape described. Seems pretty good. This single box will fit under an exercise bike or small workout bench. I tried to make it fit under a total gym. The length was fine put not enough sides. This is my problem, not the product. Seems pretty good quality. Think I'll move it to the basement for the free weights and make the described shape. Don't move them once assembled or they will come apart and they're heavy. The smell is strong and now a week in it's still there, although a lot less. Unfortunately it's winter and very cold, so opening windows is not an option. May need to place in the garage for a week to get rid of the smell if I move it to the basement. An option to purchase just sides or just squares would be excellent for larger or unique shaped projects.

I used these in my garage in high foot traffic areas by the sink and workbench. The mats are made from very high density rubber and should hold up very well. They look nice too with flecks of bright blue distributed evenly throughout, giving a nice contrast with the black. The smell is pretty strong right out of the box, so you'll want to make sure you have some ventilation available. They are a bit difficult to assemble - partly from a tight fit, which is good but there are a few joints that are square with no locking piece. Be careful not to trip over these.

Each carton comes with six 18 X 18-inch tiles that interlock together like a jigsaw puzzle, plus six straight edges and four corners. I used then to form a 37 ¾ X 54-inch rectangle. Multiple packs can be combined together to cover larger areas or a whole room. The tiles are almost 3/8-inch thick and are quite dense which should protect floors from damage while using free weights or fitness equipment. The top surface has randomly distributed decorative blue flecks and the back is plain. All of the parts are the same matching color. The tiles go together easily. The instructions on the carton recommend using a rubber mallet – but I just pressed and wiggled them together by hand. Once assembled they stay locked together. These tiles are made from recycled rubber, and like most things made from rubber there is an odor reminiscent of new tires. It’s not overwhelming – but it is quite noticeable right out of the carton. However, everyone’s sensitivity to chemical odors is different.

The Traffic MASTER Black with Blue Flecks 37 in. x 56 in. x 8 mm Rubber Weight Room Tiles are awesome. Very well made, thick and lock together tightly. Its comfortable and appears to be really durable. A big guy sitting in a computer chair rolled freely over the tiles, leaving no marks or indention's. I was surprised the interlocking seams are not obvious, it blends into the design perfectly. Love the bright blue Flecks.

I ordered one box of these TrafficMaster rubber tiles and decided to use them as an anti-fatigue mat in front of my washing machine as a test. The first thing I noticed when opening the box is the strong rubber smell. Not necessarily a bad smell just strong. The delivery driver even commented on the smell the box left in his truck. Hopefully this smell will diminish in a day or so. One box has 6 tiles plus the outer edge trim pieces to make a straight edge. Fully assembled it makes a rectangular rubber mat (3.16 feet by 4.5 feet) when I measured it, so roughly just over 14 square feet as the box stated. It took me over 30 minutes to assemble one box because you have to finagle the tabs into each other, they stick because they are rubber. When completed I then had to use a rubber mallet to gently pound down all the raised tabs (see pictures). If you plan to use these tiles to cover a large area plan accordingly on assembly time, ventilation if possible due to the smell, and wasted edge trim pieces. The wasted trim pieces are a result of joining one box to another box of tiles to achieve an interlocking system. I saw other reviews showing color disparities from one box to the next. I can not comment on multiple boxes being the same color, but all the tiles in my one box were the same, black with blue flakes. Fyi the underside of each tile is pure black so if you prefer all black flip each tile over.

Some products stink, but you would still buy them. The 14+ sq feet of rubber tiles give off an order that is a combo of tar and a full ash tray. I was working in a 45F room so the odor was noticeable only during installation. I revisited the garage about half hour afterwards and noticed an odor in the air. I suspect this will remedy itself in a short amount of time, but if you are sensitive to odors this might not be your product. While designed for a weight room, I repurposed it as fatigue mats in the garage work area. The kit comes with straight and corner trim pieces so building a rectangle is easy. If however you are looking to go wall to wall or around a corner then it could be challenging. Trim pieces are not sold separately thus requiring another kit. If your space requires several boxes you'll end up with lots of leftover trim pieces. The color matching was seamless across all the pieces. No tools required to put them together, although a mallet could come in handy. Tile thickness is just over a quarter inch and seemed to be same for all the material. From standing height the mat looks flawless. It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use. It comes with 5 yr warranty but no info on how it works, since this is a Home Depot product I would take it back to the store with receipt. As long as the odor dissipates in short order, this product will provide me with padding from the cement floor and insulation from the cold.

These are advertised for a gym floor, but I am using them in my garage as an anti fatigue mat in front of my work bench. They are easy to put together and easy to come apart. I am not doing a whole room, just a small area, so it is nice that the borders were included with the main pieces. The only con I could tell was the smell. Not sure of the materials but it smells like recycled plastic and rubber. Before I stick them in my garage, they will sit on my back porch for a few weeks and air out. Not sure I would recommend for inside a house because of that reason

I only got one box to see how I like it. Very strong odor of rubber. I hope it will dissipate. If not, I'll be removing it. The edge pieces only seem to fit if you make a square or rectangle shape with the tiles. I just wanted to put it under a piece of exercise equipment. The attached pics are the installation. Not sure if I can rearrange the tiles in a manner where the remaining five edge pieces can be used. It appears it is very durable. Not sure I want to invest in another box of this product or not. I'll have to attempt to rearrange before I make that decision.

After reading existing reviews I hesitated in purchasing this for our home gym. The main reason was due to the varying thickness. When I decided to buy, I inspected the boxes a the two stores I needed to visit in order to attempt to minimize the varying thicknesses of the product. It was very evident there is not a consistent thickness. Even after picking and choosing my boxes of flooring very carefully, I still ended up with a lot of pieces with varying thickness. Thickness variances between 1/32" to 1/8". I strategically placed the thicker pieces under equipment so it would not be noticed. I would also not recommend this product if you are going to use it for an entire room. You end up wasting a majority of the edge and corner pieces, causing you to have to purchase additional boxes to complete your room. I was using this in 156 Sq Ft room. Based on 171 Sq Ft which included an extra 10% for waste, I purchased 12 boxes. I ended up needing to go back for more, because the Sq Ft in the box considers the edge pieces. The extra edge pieces are a total waste. My final issue with the product is some of the pieces have flaws in the way the, for lack of a better term, tongues an grooves are cut. Some pieces have gaps due to miss-shaped cuts from the factory. Also, previous reviews state there is a color variance. I decided I can live with this, however, the variance is very substantial. Even in a single tile there can be a major color variance in the amount of blue specs. Since this room is a home gym and will not be used by people outside of our household, I have decided to deal with the variance. At the end of the day, it seems to be a very durable product. However, I wish there was more consistency in the manufacturing process. On the plus side, it is fairly easy to install, including cutting the tiles where needed.

Easy to put down and cut as needed. Floor tiles provide good traction and protection. Quality varies a little, some pieces have small particles of rubber falling off or curved edges that don't lie flat. The initial strong rubber smell dissipates with good ventilation

Some of the pieces weren’t cut cleanly and one piece had a lock tab missing. Ripped off in cutting process I assume.

I ordered these for delivery. For more than ~15 sq ft to cover don't get tiles. Each box contains edging that you won't use for a larger area - you will end up with a lot of waste as unused corner/edge pieces. Any you pay for it b/c it’s in the coverage spec - wasted $ and lots of trash. Instead, I would order rolls from another source. Packaging was also sub-standard – 4 of the 16 boxes ripped open and caused delays with the shipper. Boxes & packaging are for store display, not transit.

I had purchased a pack of these a few years back and purchased a few more recently so that I could expand our workout space. It was so easy to take apart the existing corners and add on the expansion. They grip nice to our tiling underneath, and they are comfortable to lay on for ground exercises.

Very inconsistent color between tiles

Strong rubber odor, and very tough to put together compared to other exercise tiles. However, the material is good quality and the cutting instructions were helpful.

The rubber smell is awful and nothing I tried seems to get rid of it. Probably will return because I can't stand the smell.

Flooring is durable and looks great! Only drawbacks are the smell and excessive waste amounts. You'll need to expect to purchase several extra boxes if you're completing a room with decent square footage as there are portions you won't be able to utilize.

The quality of the floor tile is average, they do lock together fine, but the edges do stick a little. I can live with that..... the reason I would 100% recommend NOT buying this product is the smell. Its been several months and we have tried everything. The smell is TOXIC. We spent a lot of money on these and unfortunately will probably end up throwing these away. Sad.

Very inconsistent thickness between boxes. Some were less than half as thick as others. Overall it’s fine but not as clean looking as I would prefer. I had to trim a few pieces to get a flat lay on larger areas.
