There is no baseboard with the tiles. They come with trim pieces to finish off flat to walls.
How do you cut this material
You may use sharp pair of large scissors or a box cutter with new blade. Place your straight edge and cut firmly and you should end up with nice borders.
Can these mats be steam cleaned?
Hello, No, we do not recommend these mates being steam cleaned. A mild cleaning solution along with mop or clothes should do the trick. Also, avoid using abrasive bushes or sponges. Thank you for your question.
Can you use this in a garage that doubles as a gym? Sometimes I keep my car in there and I’m wondering if over time you’ll see the tire marks
Luis these gym tiles are not designed to be driving on. Our PVC tiles are designed to be driving on. Just be careful of "Hot tire" marks that are caused by a chemical reaction between the tires and the tiles. Good home gym PVC tiles are our Rhino-tec sport floor and our hidden interlocking tiles
I LOVE these mats, but they do have a strong odor in an enclosed 9’x10’ room. Is it safe to use a vinegar diluted with water solution to help with the off gassing of the mats? Would baking soda be safer and more effective? Dawn and water did not help.
Rick we have not tried vinegar and water or baking soda I would try it in an area that is in a corner or under a machine or futnture
How much sf does one box cover?

We want to put this on an old beat up carpet/pad (we need to leave in place currently as it is over old asbestos tile). This would be for daily stretching and strength exercises, not equipment etc. what would be the problem with putting on top of carpet?
Putting on top of carpet/padding can effect the way the tiles connect or stay connected. They can also move around on top of the carpet. You can also get static with the tiles from rubbing on the carpet. Those are the main issues
