Easy to install and looks good

Looks good and relatively easy to install with moderate skill level. Difficult to ensure spacing was correct for the gaskets, which Trex says are optional, but really seem necessary. Looking forward to no painting and no dry rot like on wood rails! (Not sure if I'll get asked to do a review for the stair rails. They were very difficult to install - I'd give them a 2.)

Well made solid construction and easy to install. Quality look when completed. Very happy with the completed install.

its a railing- long and sleek - looks sharp even whilst i sleep

In building a deck off of our house in the backyard, I knew that creating/making railings would be pretty complicated if I did the design and building myself. I also knew that if I built them out of wood, I'd have a lot more maintenance then I'd care to do. Although these certainly weren't cheap, and are only the "base" model (TREX has a lot of much more expensive designs and choices if you want to pay top dollar), overall I'm quite pleased with the result.I was concerned about how sturdy these would be, particularly the sections with 8-foot runs between posts, but overall I think they are good and sturdy. Don't try to contain a baby elephant with them, but for humans, they seem to be just fine. NATURALLY you need to read all of the instructions, and in building your deck plan ahead to have your posts supported/anchored to the specifications that are required.Construction and cutting of them was easy, but assembling does take a little while. I was able to get all of ours up and installed 100% by my self alone. Now the real test starts; will they outlast me and/or other components to the deck we built? Only time will tell. Overall, I recommend these for anyone, like myself, that wants some good, basic railings that look good and are easy enough to assemble.

A builder for 46 years, this is without a doubt the worst rail system I have ever installed. Very weak and brittle. Missing components. Phony center support system. Have advised numerous clients to stay away from this. Would not trust the integrity of this rail and would be extremely apprehensive about using it on any height over 12 " above ground.

The railing looks good, but the stair components were not designed for a normal rise/run. My contractor had to cut larger holes (balusters at an angle require larger holes- duh, Trex!)Also, an adequate number of screws at an appropriate size weren't included.

Had my order shipped to store. It got lost. Had to have it re-shipped (3 week delay). Order arrived at store with 91.5 inch railings cracked in each of two boxes. Got USED pieces that had been cut in another box!! Hardware bags missing from one box; shorted screws in a sealed bag. Horrible!!!

A positive DIY experience. I am not a carpenter and it was a remodel working around the existing deck structure. I really like the quality of the product and the rail system made it a no-brainer to install. I juts installed in Sep 2017 so we will see how it holds up to a WI winter. Highly recommend this product to others. Great counter service late on a Sunday to sit down, get on line and put in the order and I received within 5 days. I always like shopping at HD!

I do construction for a living. I feel bad for an average home owner - do it yourselfer. What a poor value. Very poor instructions. Generic brackets. Wrong length fasteners. There has to be better rail kits out there . Stay away from this one. I would be ashamed to sell this kit at half the price.

It was all a complete disaster from the minute the 18 wheeler showed up

product is easy and quick to assemble. The only issue I have is that they don't give you enough extra parts. I needed to cut one section in half and use half on one side of the deck and the other on the opposite side to get a balanced look. Problem came when I went to attach the second section. The special bracket and end covers you need come packed with just enough to do one section. I can't find on line the extra parts package I need. I can't be the only person who's had this issue.
