The sheetrock was easy to cut and easy to install, especially on the ceilings as I was working alone. Also had to install behind piping which was not too hard with this board.

I used this sheetrock in a laundry room for wall reapir. I went with the mold tough since moisture will be present from the washing machine. It cut well. Have not painted it yet. still mudding and sanding.

A bit pricey but worth it in moisture areas. Better be safe than sorry. I like to use it in bathrooms and at least one wall in the kitchen(the wall behind the sink. You can get away with just doing the bottom half of the wall unless you have plumbing coming down. Usually you only need a couple sheets. In the bathroom, I would use it everywhere.

Contractor used this for a remodel.
I have no idea if this product is good or not. The contractor suggested I buy it and he installed it. It's holding the heavy tile up so it's doing something.

I used three sheets of SHEETROCK Brand UltraLight Mold Tough 1/2 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. Gypsum Board to replace our old tiled tub surround in order to install a 5-piece glue-up plastic tub surround per manufacturer instructions. The drywall is noticeably lighter than standard, which my 59 year-old lower back appreciates. It cuts and snaps well, but isn't as strong because the bottom cut edge of a 4' x 5' cut panel on end, crumbled easily when resting on two 4" wide shims holding it 5/16" up off the tub sill. The paper front & back, tears and peels easily. I noticed in the material description, they use recycled paper, which has shorter fibers than virgin pulp and less "goo" to bind them together. Just sliding the first sheet out of pickup truck, the backing paper caught and peeled off where it rubbed on the face paper of the sheet underneath. Per instructions, I masked off the edges where I had to apply tub surround adhesive with a notched trowel. When I removed the masking tape before pressing the plastic panel onto the adhesive, the paper peeled right off with the tape. When feathering the joint compound with a sanding sponge, be very careful because it doesn't take much to scuff up the face paper. Even wiping it down with a slightly damp rag to remove sanding dust before priming, took the green color off it. I'd rather deal with the weight of standard drywall if it means getting a better quality product.

Used it for a bathroom ceiling and where the drywall met 7/16" cement backer board
Used this for a bathroom remodel for the ceiling and the bathroom walls where the drywall meets the backer board at the bathtub/shower area. I found the 1/2" still required a couple of people to hang on the ceiling (seemed to be heavier than regular 8x4 1/2" drywall too) and like other reviewers have observed, it is less durable/more brittle. For the extra price, it shouldn't be as fragile. I had missed a small cut off nail that was probably sticking out of the ceiling truss by about 1/8"-3/16" and this was enough to create a 2" or so blister bulge on the drywall when I screwed it into the ceiling, so I had some extra topping and feathering to do to hide the blister. I had no problems cutting it with a craft knife or an oscillating saw for the electrical outlets and light fittings. The other issue I found with this is that the taping and topping compounds tend to be white or cream while this board is a light shade of green, so you will need to use a drywall primer on it to get everything back to a single consistent color before you put the top coat of paint on the walls if you plan a smooth painted drywall finish.

    backing for shower stall
This was purchased because we also bought the corner shower stall and it needed to be glued to wallboards. The drywall was screwed to the studs in the corner location and the shower stall walls were attached to it with liquid nails. Drywall is very heavy compared to other wallboards. Not much else to say.
