We are sorry to hear about your experience with our CanvasHangers™ and we would love to get a clearer picture and pass on the information to our Design and Manufacturing teams. Each of our products is QC checked at the manufacturer, so typically something like a level that is not reading level would be flagged right away. If you would be willing to provide some additional information on the problems you encountered with the hangers, it would be extremely helpful in determining how to improve the product. For example: Was the frame of the canvas warped at all? Was there a certain part of the canvas that was not flush, or the entire thing? Were there any problems pushing the canvas into the wall surface? Or installing the hangers into the frame of the canvas? Any other details on how the hanger failed (i.e. did the hanger come off the canvas, did the entire thing fall off immediately or over time, etc) would be insightful. Hi Brooke, thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review - we appreciate it! Our CanvasHangers™ are designed to be used in drywall only, and will not work on very hard wall surfaces such as concrete, cinderblock, plaster, tile, stone etc. In order to work properly, make sure that they are installed on the canvas so that the single large pin is facing the wall, and the two smaller nails are nailed into the frame of the canvas. Then you should have no problem pushing the hangers into the drywall - definitely no hammering required! HI Mark, thanks so much for taking the time to leave your review - we appreciate it! We're really happy that our CanvasHangers™ are working so well for you, and thanks for the great tip on installing an oversize canvas by pushing in one corner at a time. A similar approach can be used if you find that the canvas isn't installed level - take one corner out of the wall leaving the other one in, put a level on the top of the canvas, and pivot the canvas until it's level, and then push the second corner back into the wall. We designed our CanvasHangers™ to be the best way to securely hang a canvas in drywall, and so we would like to get some more specific information regarding what happened to make you decide they did not work as expected. The hangers have been tested and rated to easily hold canvases up to 20 lbs, and hanging a canvas on your wall is as simple as placing the canvas where you want it to hang, and pushing it into the drywall. If you have any additional information or photos you can share that would shed some light on how they did not meet your expectations, we would love to share that information with our Product Design and Manufacturing teams, to help improve future versions of the product. Our CanvasHangers™ were designed specifically to be pushed into standard drywall and we would like to get a bit more information to understand why they would not work for you. Were you attempting to hang your canvas into drywall/sheetrock, or was it some other kind of surface? Note that plaster walls, although they look and feel a lot like standard drywall, are in fact considerably harder and more brittle, and we don't recommend using the CanvasHangers in those surfaces.
