Overall a great door! First one came in damaged and Home Depot got right on it, had a new one in no time. Watched the video prior to install and read all directions while installing and my wife and I could not be happier. FYI if you are needing spare keys do so at a locksmith as the key hole is narrower than a standard key. Let them know the key is also thinner. Not a big deal...we will be adding one to our back door as well.

Bought 2 of these about 2 years ago. They are a beautiful, BUT 1 year into it the handle/lock mechanism on 1 has repeatedly failed. We were able to fix it once, but within weeks it failed again. We can feel that nothing catches when trying to open it. Tried buying parts to replace the lock, but it doesn’t fit. Manufacturer website doesn’t provide any useful info. Now the door is inoperable and an emergency hazard for my elderly parents. All this headache at almost $1000 a piece.

I had two of these doors installed by Home Depot about 4 years ago and overall I like these doors but here's the problem. One of the doors is on the south side of my house and rarely gets used but now It is very difficult to work locking mechanism because it's grungy looking and gets stuck. Of course Home Depot has no interest being it's past 1 year for them to care and now the manufacturer says the same. Don't be fooled by brochure stating 15 Year Warranty. That's only for the door, not the locking mechanism, which is only one year. I like these doors but for the money, you'd think there would be a better warranty that covers the main feature of the door, its LOCKS! Now I'm left with trying to figure out on my own how to get this to work like it should. Buyer beware.

Outstanding produce - looks like a screen but is actually a solid security door. It is quite pricey, though.

The locking mechanism does not work. Had a general contractor work on it for an hour. What good is a security door that does not lock? Still have not received replacement and it has been 10 days. HOME DEPOT products have been horrible lately. Going elsewhere.

Well… installing it was very difficult.. the locking mechanism ia strange.. wish I could say it was simple.. not what i had expected.. but i guess better than what had been placed before

Handle is flimsy black plastic not same quality when compared to lower cost Unique Home Designs Security Door with Tempered Glass Insert. Disappointed!

The door seems to be a good design but I don’t like that it’s mostly made of plastic. It has a triple latch that should be secure so I can leave the inner door open and not worry about some dirtbag getting into my house when I’m not looking. If the door was aluminum or steel, I’d give it 5 stars

Love this RECESSED security door! It was worth the wait (to be back in stock) and worth the price, just under $700, as it allows me to feel peace of mind having my front door open overnight. Did I mention it is recessed, and together with the simple mesh look, it is inconspicuous, because I live in a townhouse community and it is necessary to follow their rules for everything and I also did not want to broadcast to everyone that I spent that much on a “screen door.”

Overall a well made door and security locking system. My only problem was the hinge screw holes were not tapped so I had to buy a tap and do it myself.

I like door but it locks internally but not externally with the key.

The door was beautiful, but I was unable to install it because the screen door handle is placed in such a way that it hit my front doorknob. Furthermore, when I try to use the handle to open the door, the handle hits my doorjamb.

I absolutely love this door. Yes, it is a little complicated to install and a little pricey but the end result is totally worth it. The Meshtec material is practically indestructible, and I have four very enthusiastic indoor dogs. I feel safe when I have my wooden front door open to let fresh air in through this screen door because the locking mechanism is a beast! You get what you pay for with this door.

Husband installed the door. It took 3 days. Challenging, but came out well.While we were expecting to get a standard security door, this is better because there's no heavy bars blocking the view. I didn't want to have to get an extra key, either...but I really like this door. It all worked out.

This is an amazing security screen door. We are impressed with the quality, construction, the video they produced and the technology. I hired my builder to install he said it was not complicated at all. We ordered two more for our double door patios which will replace Anderson screens

The installer finished hanging my door. No more than five minites elapsed and my dog busted rght through. He tore the door trim right off the home! The door was locked and he still managed to bust it open. Come to find out the installer used “too short of a screw” to mount the door. I can not believe the door did not come with appropriate hardware! I now also must call the manufacturer to get one of the cover strips becuase it was damaged. I cant even trust that the parts that stayed attached are secured I am extremely disappointed with the door for that simple fact. Otherwise the door is decent and would suit the typical homeowner for basic safety.

The door does take some know-how to install, but is of very good quality and provides much more security than a typical screen door. It’s just a little expensive.

Great security screen door! Looks good and doesn’t have that jail bar look. Full visibility out and max air flow. Highly recommend.
