I live my flower box which is attached to the railing of my porch. It’s higher quality than I thought I’d get and the instructions made it easier to install than I thought it would be. I’m enjoying my flowers.

These look great on my Trex railing system however I had to slightly modify the bracket to fit my railing width. The sales info states that if fits railings from 1" to 5.5" wide however there is a zone between 1.5" and 2" that these brackets don't accommodate. I had to further elongate the holes to make it work. Once I did that- it was great! Love the look of these planters!

These planters fit well and secure on balcony railing. Easy to install.

The clean, modern lines of this Veradek planter are what first appealed to me. (Many other planters have way too much going on in terms of design, which distracts and detracts from the beauty of the plants.) I was also intrigued by the depth of the planter. This model is quite deep, particularly for a hanging planter. (I included a photo of the planter with a standard 12 oz soda can next to it, for reference.) The extra depth encourages better rooting of plants. Those extra few inches of planter and soil adds to the heft of the planter, for sure. However, the robust hanging bracket that comes with it does not expand enough to accommodate my porch railing, which is just over 9 inches wide. That’s fine, because I would be reluctant to trust any bracket to hold such a large planter. Filled with plants and water, the planter easily weighs a dense 60 pounds. The planter could also use more drainage holes. Having just one in the dead center is not adequate for a planter of this size. There should be one near each end as well. And this might not be an issue for some people, but the “Veradek” name plate on the front annoys me. It is subtle, but I don’t need to advertise for the Veradek company. Note that if you are using the bracket to hang the planter, with the way the planter is molded your only option is to have the name plate facing outward for all the world to see. If you want to turn the planter so that the name plate faces inward, you won’t be able to attach the bracket. Plus, the name plate on my planter is ever-so-slightly crooked, which makes me cringe every time I see it! And it’s stuck on there pretty good. I’m afraid if I try to remove the name plate, the finish will be ruined which would annoy me even more. Since I can’t hang it on my porch railing, the planter is sitting on top of the railing. Even though the planter widens at the top, it doesn't seem too top-heavy when filled with soil and plants. We regularly have wind speeds in the teens with gusts of 25+ mph, and the planter has not budged. Assuming that you are already attracted to the look of the planter (or else you wouldn't be reading this review): if the name plate won't bother your OCD, and if you plan to attach it to a strong railing that is less than 6 inches wide, or if you don't plan to attach it to a railing at all, then you will like this planter.

This is a very well built black plastic planter that fits over the top rail of the railing on my deck. There are parts that you have to put together to install it. The plans were well illustrated, but I was missing some screws that easily replaced from a hardware store. The brackets that hold the planter to the rail are adjustable, and go up to a six inch wide top rail. There are holes on the bracket in case you want to screw the planter into your rail. It was easy to put together and it looks great on my covered deck.

This a heavy duty hanging window box planter. It comes with adjustment mounts to hang on your deck ledges and a level on the back to kept it from tilting down. Every hanging box I have tilts down and the water flows out sometimes with the soil. It is very spacious so it will hold a lot of flowers or herbs. I don't have a lot of space on my porch so this is just perfect. It has a water plug on the bottom to drain water.

Wow, this is big and sturdy! You could wash a Corgi in it! Holds more plant pots than I have this time of year. We make-do with yard-sale planters but they don't last. I decided to try this one. This one will last a long time. Thick tough plastic. Has a lot of heft. And the brackets are well thought-out, sturdy, fully adjustable to almost any rail or fence.

I received the Veradek 36 inch Black plastic Hanging window box planter. It was easy to assemble. I thought it would be perfect on my grandchild's play house railing. It fit just right. I am going to wait till spring to plant my flowers though. They would not live through the winter freezing here. I love the look of it and it is very sturdy and heavy. I think it will last a long time.

The quality of these planter boxes is great - easy to install. They are quite deep, so I added filler before soil. It looks great on my porch rail.

Very well made, easy assembly

They are nice sturdy boxes that have adjustable width hangers. They are stable and can fit a variety of railings. We have metal railings but will fit even better on wooden railings.

Love these window boxes, I have herbs in them, perfect!!!

One of the boxes had the Veradek label on the wrong side, and the delivery blocked the entrance to the apartment door, where an elderly resident could not walk by it. Other than that, the boxes are great

I ordered three of these for my wrap around porch. The first one went together easily. The second and the third each had holes drilled too large on one half of the mounting bracket and the screws kept falling out. Tried to find a replacement t long screw so I could use a nut to keep them tight but so far have had no luck finding something that works. I have to send them back.

Easy to assemble. Sturdy and sttractive.

Design is good and to install

Very sturdy and good quality. Easy to assemble- really like these boxes.

No drainage holes in middle compartment of box, which matters because there are dividers that prevent water that collects in the middle from traveling sideways. One “veradek” label is upside down. Consistent with other reviews that rate this good but not excellent. There is also a limit to how tight you can get the sliding things; the tightest setting is still too wide for my railing but overall this is a decent container.

Love the look. The gray was just as pictured.

This is a nice product! We have it hanging on our Trex railing and it looks wonderful. Besides the quality we really like that it does not need to attach to the railing. That way we can put it inside for the winter.

Love the look and easy assembly. Just ordered two more.
