LOVE THEM!!!!! Just had these installed when I replaced my back steps and railings. For the price, I am THROUGHLY IMPRESSED with these solar caps so far. They stay on until dawn and even on cloudy days they still hold a great charge. I had purchased some more expensive ones just in case but returned them since these are doing the job. They give off a nice glow and work for my needs which was more for decorative enjoyment. I have lots of solar lights around my house and I REALLY LOVE the fact that bugs are not really attracted to them....SCORE!!!!! I guess for the money if they last for a while then I won't complain.

I put 35 of the lights on a fence and they look great. I had bought them before and used them on a small bridge over a creek and those lights still light up after three years. One thing about them I don't like is the top will twist off very easy. A fix for that is a small piece of double sticky tape on the bottom edge. With the tape on, the top stays in place. It's a very good light.

I've had this solar lights for about 3 yrs now and they still work great. I will buy again when I finish my back decking. The only Cons. for this solar lights is that the cap locking is kinda weak but only on high winds they sometimes blow off.

This is one of the least expensive solar post caps they have and it actually puts out a lot of light, but you need to buy a roll of white duct tape and tape over the glass areas inside that facing away from the areas you want lighted and I also taped above the light and cut off any excess. I installed these as corner lights and the white tape inside is not even noticed.. It now puts out 2 to 3x more white glowing light.. Also I glueed clear pieces of cut plexiglass on top of each light and placed another piece under the light to keep water/bugs from sneaking in over time.. I will see how long these last.....

I bought 21 0f these lights, first I bought enough HOME Depot treated wood to build a secure fence for my Morky puppy. My first attempt of fence building, the proper materials, hardware and tool's. the lights give a finished look.

Great value for the price. Looks more expensive that it was. Light is more of an accent light than adding a lot of light to the area that you put these end caps. Up now for three weeks and have had lots of rain and snow in Utah with no issues with the lights giving out so far. Size is close for a true 3.5" X 3.5" post.

My first surprise was the fit. My desk post are slightly smaller, that the cap. This makes a lot of slop in the fit. Next I was disappointed with light level. It was very low, but at first it lasted almost all night. Until the first rain killed 8 out of 10 of my units. I took them off the post and poured out the water. Poor design light photo sensor sits in socket with 2 holes in the bottom of the socket for the wires to go through. The rain sits in socket drips inside and shorts out the device electronics. The device might work better if you sealed top photo sensor on all 4 sides with a silicone, to prevent water from getting in. Just 2 weeks and the internal parts are rusting.

Just a fyi.... These are for wood posts only. I had purchased them for my vinyl front porch. We cut about 2 inch wooden posts and inserted them to make them work.

exactly what I had in mind as an effect and very pleased by this product did not have to use the screws supplied cause they sit perfectly on the 4x4 post a real bargain.

Now that the price has dropped on these there are a better value. At $7 I think they're decent, at $9 they were a little pricey for the level of quality. I have had a few work intermittently but other than one that actually broke when I was installing it they're holding up fairly well. I have almost 20 that have been mounted along the top of my fence since last year and just picked up another 20 this morning for the rest of the fence as I continue to build it this spring. They're not bright but in my application that's what I wanted, not to light up the house, just to mark the fence line.

I bought 10 of this lights. The first thing I did was change the batteries for a strongest one. This lights come with a 600mAh and I changed for a 2400mAh and work perfect.

Very weak light…just let you know where the post cap is in the dark. Doesn't light up any area. Had to jam toothpicks under the tops to keep them tightly on so that the wind or squirrels wouldn't knock them off.

I was surprised to find a solar powered light so cheap, so I bought two of them. Its a good price, but realized you are getting what you pay for. The body is made of cheap plastic. The supplied screws are not outdoor screws, so you should supply your own outdoor screws. Unfortunately my outdoor screws are not black, so they do stand out. After the first rain storm, the first few days after having bought these, I took this picture showing how the heads of the supplied screws are rusting. The amount of light supplied makes it more of a beacon than a real light source. You know there's something there, but it doesn't light anything up. I like that the AA rechargable battery that comes with it can be replaced if it wears out.

Giving this product ones across the board. First, they don't fit the posts, so to use them I'd need to pull out the sander. Secondly, they're about as bright as a dead lightning bug. There's no point to using these; I bought them because I though they might be a good bargain. Something needs to work as expected to truly be a good bargain, and these don't fit the bill. We'll be returning them.

These lights gave my deck just the right flair, so we can enjoy my deck even at night. these light even add the safety feature of lighting your way around the deck.If anyone were wanting to add something special to the yard or deck this is a great buy.

It works, it was easy to install with only two screws mounting it to the post. Can't beat it for the price.

I purchased these back in May, and these post caps are excellent. They charge during the day, and light up at sundown. They are not super bright, but definitely nice ambiance that it adds to your deck. I have about a dozen of these at each post cap, and they have been working w/out issue since May now. They stay lit the entire evening, all the way to the morning early hours and sunrise. I have a security system, so I can see that they stay lit this long. Installation was a snap! You just pull the tag inside the housing, w/ just twists counterclockwise to unlock the cap. Changing batteries hasn't been of issue since May now, but when the time comes, its very simple to do so and access them. They come w/ mounting screws and they were very affordable. About $5 each I believe at the time I purchased them. Buy these post cap solar lights, you won't regret your purchase!

These post caps were a great value. Instalation was easy. They fit snug on the posts, no screws were necessary. They enhanced the beauty of our deck. Our last post caps were pressure treated pine and warped within a couple years. They were more than twice the cost of these. I did not purchase these for the light, but the solar lights are an added bonus. They are very pretty at night and work as expected.

We bought 25 solar post caps for our fence and they are great. First set were bought 5 years ago and we replace the batteries last year.

I have many of these lining my long driveway. They are not real bright but they do the job that I intended for them. They clearly show the roadway. When fully charged they stay lit all night long. I have had several of these for 2 years and only had one fail. Recommend.

I purchased two of these last year in 2013 mid summer in the Home Depot store near where I live. They worked as described and were a great price. I was hesitant to spend a lot because I wasn't sure what to expect so I figured you can't go wrong with Home Depot and the price on this little solar light cap was very attractive. They held up amazing, gave off just enough light my husband and I like to call "mood" light yet enough to allow you to see around below the post. I ordered another 12 this year on the deal of the day in a 4 pack for the back deck. We recently had the back deck done in Trex decking so really the Trex posts only allow for their high end wired lights. I really wanted solar because they are low cost and energy efficient so I bought the 12 for the Trex posts. They did not fit into the sleeve that goes over the existing posts from our old deck so I bought an adapter from Home Depot for around $1.50 a pc to attach to the Trex posts and the solar caps I bought fit right on no problem. Even made the light look more elegant as it was slightly raised. Very easy to install. Please see before and after pictures.

Great light, very durable, light not the brightest, but last a long time. I used mine for my driveway entrance, so it would be easier to see at night, works great

We have now had these up for about 8 weeks and love them. Easy to install. They do not give off alot of light but we were not looking for a well lit area. Gives off more of a glow around our pool..They work great.

I bought 10 of these to put on my new deck, and so far they work great. They have lite up every night for 2 mths. They don't give off a lot of light, but I don't want a lot of light to draw bugs. I'll buy a few more to use for backup in case one stops working. Hey at the price I'm getting these. I'm happy with them.

I purchased these lights in exchange for reflectors to accent my new ranch style horse fence. Be warned, as past reviewers have noted, THESE LIGHTS WILL NOT FIT COMPOSITE OR VINYL FENCING POST, I ended up adapting these lights to my composite fence by cutting a 2x6 to fit the 3 7/8ish mounting sleeve of the lights. The lights are made of decent plastic and the top halves twist off giving you easy access to replace the batteries in them for maintenance.
