Light and easy to put up to get to roof. Sturdy when cleaning out rain gutters. Feel very secure climbing ladder.

This ladder is exactly what I expected. It is sturdy, well made, and perhaps a bit heavy for one person to operate; I plan to always have someone available to help. I am glad to now be able to clean out my 2nd story gutters. I have it hung in my garage for easy access next time I need to use it.

The 16ft ladder, so far, is holding together. I also purchased a 40ft ladder and it has fallen apart and will have to be exchanged for another.

Yowza this ladder is heavy! I mean it's a load for two grown men. Unless you are Atlas, I don't think you will be able to move this ladder on your own. I'm 6' 180 lbs and this was too much for me. I had my wife come out and try to brace the base and still... Somehow, fortunately, we didn't put the ladder through a window. I took the ladder back to Home Depot and got a 36 footer that was my grandfather's aluminum ladder. This old ladder (probably 50 years or more) had to weigh 1/2 the amount of the Werner from Home Depot. Now granted, this old aluminum ladder bowed more easily, but man it is way easier to move around. I guess the litigious society in which we now live forced Werner to over engineer their ladder. Bottom line - unless you are Atlas or work with a team of 3 guys, I wouldn't recommend this 40 foot Werner ladder.

Bought this ladder for several reasons... to hang Christmas lights, clean out gutters and paint the upper level of my bi-level home. Extended the ladder to about 26 feet. I climbed up (me weighing 180lbs) feeling really secure. About half way up it had a typical little nonrepeating bounce to it but nothing that made me feel as if the ladder was unsafe or unstable. After I stopped climbing, there was no sway in the ladder and it felt solid. Additionally I purchased the Werner Leg Leveler system PK70-1 which works great with this specific ladder. Install of the leg leveler took me about 20-25 minutes. I am fairly in shape, not a gym goer or everyday exerciser but am able to handle heavy weight. Even with the ladder retracted to its 16' length...the 60+ pounds were awkward to handle by myself when raising or lowering from the house. It wasn't impossible but it felt unstable and top heavy. lifting it sideways and carrying it was not so much the issue. The pulley system is great if you know how to use it...many don't. Price is reasonable for size as everyone will see...the longer the ladder the higher the price. I chose the aluminum ladder because the fiberglass one, despite being able to hold 50lbs more it does cost $20 more and weighs nearly 10 pounds more for one with same length capabilities. This ladder is sturdily built. I used it to go up a 3 story floor for doing roof inspection. It was surprisingly light weight for its size. We used without any worry. I wish it had a curvature at the top to makie it easier for me and womenl

If you are looking for the per-requisite home metal extension ladder-this one is it. It feels sturdy when using it and the price is right. Best all purpose deal on the page.Not for a talllll job or one that needs a work surface included.

This ladder is sturdy but lightweight, the price was marked down to the same as the 16' version, I'm happy with the product and price.

This 16' extension ladder is perfect for my house. Although it only extends to 13', that is plenty for me since my house is only 16' at the peak. I can get it painted. It is more than enough to get on the roof. Also since it will compact down to 8' it fits in the back of my pick-up bed with the tail gate up. It is rated for 225#s that's enough to handle me @ 210# and a bucket of paint. I think it could even take another 30#s easily.

We needed an extension ladder to repair a small roof leak. It is perfect for many projects however. I am 4'11 and a girl and I can even carry it. It is a mans best friend in a ladder! He loves it too!

I needed a 28 foot ladder which was heavier duty than the 20 foot ladder I replaced. Overall I'm very pleased with the Werner ladder I purchased and would recommend it to others without reservation. I particularly like the feet which can pivot & lock into position and have teeth on them in order to dig into grass & dirt in order to prevent sliding out. The price from home depot was the best I could find on the internet and it included free delivery to my home.

Good extension ladder but it can be unstable when leaning against a rough and uneven surface like stone siding. I also purchased an aluminum ladder stabilizer at Home depot to give it more stability.

Very lightweight. I needed a ladder a few feet longer than the one I've owned for 20-plus years. This was the height I needed to cut down a tree. This lightweight ladder made the job much easier. I'm not a big person. It was sturdy enough for me. Also, I'm not very young anymore, so the light weight was very helpful. The slip resistant pads worked fine. My old ladder had none. I'm glad I bought it.

I upgraded to this ladder from a 16 foot folding extension ladder that I bought at a big box store. Despite being 50% longer, this ladder is lighter and much more solid. The rungs are larger diameter and have better grip. Where the ladder sections overlap providing two rungs to stand on, it's like standing on a platform. I having a little trouble dealing with the shoe rests which always seem to move themselves into the wrong position when I move the ladder.

It is handy to use. It is easy to operate or adjust. I highly recommend the product.

Did the job getting to my two and a half high story gutters and getting up to a high tree with multiple broken branch as high as the house. For the less experienced DiY'er, two people are a must to jack up this extension ladder. Because it was lightweight, I convinced a friend to haul it on our padded shoulders one mile to my home.

I bought this ladder last weekend to clean and fix the gutters and fascia boards on my 2 story home. I have a 40 ft ladder and a 16 ft that I’ve had for a while. I purchased this 28 because the 40 footer is so hard to handle. Well this is the best ladder I have ever used. First off I can handle it by myself. Secondly it is easy to extend and lower because it slides easy and the clamps work perfectly. Thirdly is very sturdy and handles my 220 pounds with no flexing. The ladders I have are aluminum but older and I think the newer ladders are better designed. I am very happy with Werner and would highly recommend this ladder. PS. We used it to also clean my buddy neighbors gutters and he went out this weekend and bought a new ladder….because he didn’t want to be outdone by me! lol

We haven’t dropped it, fallen off of it, smashed anything with it, or gotta hurt in anyway shape or form so, I’d say we are a thumbs up ?
