The rivits connecting the handle are pultruding above the surface of the hawk so its impossible to move your knife over the surface without it being stopped by one of the (4) rivits, very poor design.

A must have for dry wall work!

Easy to set up and very easy to handle. This is a great alternative to using a mud tray.

Lightweight and easy to use once you get used to not using a tray. I found it better when working on ceilings.

Pretty straightforward, but the fastening rivets weren’t flush with the plate. Manufacturing error.

I’m glad I bought this. Even though I only use it occasionally, it’s well built and makes the job easier.
