[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this after staining a piece of butcher block to use as a countertop in my washroom. It is very simple to use. I ended up applying 2 coats, but should have done 3 just to be on the safe side. However, definitely apply in a well ventilated area where your project can sit while airing out. It took a couple of weeks for the smell to die down.

It’s very easy to apply and covers well. The clean up was easy and most importantly, the finished product looks great. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This worked as expected for me I have a small IKEA kitchen island/cart that is birch wood and came unfinished. I wanted to stop the top from absorbing stains but still have a food-safe working area. I finished the whole thing using this oil and finish and it looks great. It looks natural and not thick and shiny like a polyurethane. It brought out the natural color of my island and I love the look. I had previously been using butcher block mineral oil on the island but that just wasn’t feasible for the whole piece long term. This looks as if it’s only been oiled but will last long term. It was easy to apply with a cotton cloth, just wipe on. Takes 6 hours to dry before recoating but it was dry to the touch within around 30 or 40 minutes. The odor from the finish is sort of like polyurethane but less strong. I would recommend using this in an open garage or outdoors. however if you have a very small piece that you are finishing like a cheese board, doing it near an open window would be fine. I included pictures to show the difference which is difficult to see in photos except on the bottom section where it really brings out the tone of the wood.

I was expecting a dark/darker color given the name and shade- Hazelnut. It basically made the butcher block the shade of wet wood.

Used this on a butcher block for my black Snap on tool box and does it look good! Put 2 coats on, let it cure for 24hrs and what a great look! Snap on wanted almost $1k for one of there butcher block tops. I have about $175 into it and love it!

I already did a review and as promised here is my follow up picture. I did 2 applications followed up by a satin clear top out and it is exactly what I hoped for! I did a light sand between coats per the instructions and followed the drying times as well. I am sure it would have gotten a lot darker with more coats but this was the effect I was going to for. Absolutely love it

Amazing product with amazing work. Was surprised with how amazing our countertops turned out. Easy to apply just follow the directions on the can.

Bought this product to seal wooden garden beds and would buy this again. Application was very clean and it dried beautifully.

The stain oil color choice I choice turned out beautifully. it was very easy to apply and dried nicely. the smell went away after a few hours. I'm very pleased. And I recommend this Watco product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have butcher block counters in our laundry room that had lust some of their luster due to constant use. This product was so easy to apply and made no mess at all. I also like that the odor was minimal. The product has given some new life to the counters, making them seem new and fresh again. I definitely will do another round of the sealer again to keep them looking their best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an old butcher block cutting board that my grandfather gave me when he passed. It’s beautiful, but very old and needs some love. After I had sanded the top flat, and took away some of the grime, it was left very dull. I used Watco butcher block oil not only to protect it from further damage, but to also bring it back to life. The difference before applying the oil and after is night and day. The oil brings out the natural beauty of the wood while sealing it as well. Application was easy by just wiping it on the board and it dries and absorbs fairly quickly. It is also food safe, which is always a big concern of mine. I am overall extremely pleased with the quality of this stuff. Makes me wish I had more cutting boards to apply it to.

I could pick my own wood and shapes and paint to create safe and decorative boards. I applied many coats and it coveted very well. I could have probably done 8 boards with 5 coats each a pint but I lost count and did more coats just to make sure I has each covered well. I very much recommend to someone wanting to be a little more extra in displaying food on wood.

It was easy to apply. The smell of the paint wasn’t strong. It dried up pretty fast. My cutting board looked good as new. I definitely recommend this product.
